VectisSaint Posted 24 December, 2008 Posted 24 December, 2008 Can one be created for the United Game? Worldwide coverage. What should it say? Club for Sale? Worst Chairman in the Land? Save our Club? Let's do something. Need to be more specific. Lowe will think we are referring to Wilde and will probably agree.
hypochondriac Posted 24 December, 2008 Posted 24 December, 2008 I will donate if there is going to be a huge banner.
the saint in winchester Posted 24 December, 2008 Posted 24 December, 2008 Something festive about "The Three Wise Men" might be suitable?
superstevesaints Posted 24 December, 2008 Posted 24 December, 2008 I will be taking a fairly big one to the Man UTD game, and hopefully getting infront of the cameras with one that says: SOS SAVE OUR SAINTS
1965onwards Posted 24 December, 2008 Posted 24 December, 2008 Suggest a banner made in sections that can be velco'd together. No-way will they be able to stop that, easily concealed.
IN MY DAY Posted 24 December, 2008 Posted 24 December, 2008 There's a company down Empress road, just down from Hodges car mechanics. They did a big banner for my mates for the Cardiff final... The company your on about belongs to a season ticket holder and the main signage contractor at St Marys. You may have a problem with that one!!
southamptonfclegend Posted 24 December, 2008 Posted 24 December, 2008 don't you wish your chairman was tight like ours?
Gemmel Posted 24 December, 2008 Posted 24 December, 2008 Barclays.... were not coming back, unless you act
Amesbury Saint Posted 24 December, 2008 Posted 24 December, 2008 Whilst a big banner is a good idea, I prefer something that involves many people. One large banner can just be put down to the actions of a few. Some form of coodinated action after 15 minutes into the Man Utd match.
georgeg Posted 24 December, 2008 Posted 24 December, 2008 "We've received an anonymous letter that says you are crap and should stand down"? classic isnt it - the man should be on the stage - the next stage out of here taxi for lowe
eelpie Posted 24 December, 2008 Posted 24 December, 2008 Who was the chap who did the crop circles? 'Lowe out' cut into the grass in font of the world's cameras would just be perfect.
Alain Perrin Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 Some form of coodinated action after 15 minutes into the Man Utd match. How about cheering on the team FFS!
saintwarwick Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 How about cheering on the team FFS! A novelty not worn on some of our fans
um pahars Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 Who was the chap who did the crop circles? 'Lowe out' cut into the grass in font of the world's cameras would just be perfect. I know people won't believe me, but I swear to God on this one (and I've just come back from church!!!!!), the originator of crop circles was none other than the father of our own Richard Chorley!!!!!!!!!!!!!
saintwarwick Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 So what happened when he was last ousted?
um pahars Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 So what happened when he was last ousted? I think we got to the play offs! Not sure mind.
um pahars Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 So what happened when he was last ousted? He came back to fccuku us over a second time. Mwah
saintwarwick Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 He came back to fccuku us over a second time. Mwah Don't get me wrong but I don't like him from the next bloke ie your saviour Crouch, get rid of all of them and maybe we can move on but until then all will come back to haunt us.
saintwarwick Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 I think we got to the play offs! Not sure mind. Of course completely missed that one, just like the cup final in 2003...
LGTL Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 I think "retarded fans" might be the most appropriate at this rate. How about "we have retarded fans, such as those who think Mcgoldrick will score 20+ this season..." Oh.
Norm Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 R, you beat me to it! As soon as I saw this thread, I thought of you and that plane!!!!!!!!!! Happy Christmas, old pal;)
Andoverian Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 At bloody last!!! Been going on about this for about a year on here. Still everything I have typed about Lowe's return has proven right so far...Anyway... Please people... Please Richard Chorley (you being the only fan-leader with any bottle and prepared to tackle the problem head on). The time has come to SELL THIS CLUB. Whatever we can do - lets do the only constructive thing we can. A big banner saying Lowe out is fine. But we need one saying SOUTHAMPTON FC IS FOR SALE! The parasite shareholders (espcially Lowe) are not going to leave without really brutal fan power now. We need Air Ads again. A plane with a banner behind it (as Lowe will use his bully boys again to search the Northam for Banners). We need a big organised protest in front of the whole footballing world. We have an opportunity and for once I say GET BEHIND CHORLEY. We know Manure will destroy us.... so lets destroy Lowe and the plc, the cancer of this club once, and for all. PROTEST AND LETS SELL THIS CLUB. LOWE OUT - FOR GOOD. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND AN OPTIMISTIC NEW YEAR IF WE DO! Sounds right to me.Let the fans fight back begin! Let's do whatever it takes to get rid of this load of rubbish.
offix Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 R, you beat me to it! As soon as I saw this thread, I thought of you and that plane!!!!!!!!!! Happy Christmas, old pal;) If i thought it would work again, I would do it in a jiffy! Don't think it will though! Merry Christmas, a great New Year, and good health to you and yours Norm!
Dan Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 Please no, I am really not looking forward to the Reading game or any game now as we are going to have the anti Lowe stuff ruining the atmosphere. The Reading staff will rub their hands in expectation knowing the club is in turmoil Every game from now on, I will try my hardest to sing anti Lowe songs for the majority of the match.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 Every game from now on, I will try my hardest to sing anti Lowe songs for the majority of the match. With you on that one Dan!!!
Johnny Bognor Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 What does STHU stand for? Season Ticket Holders United HTH
Amesbury Saint Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 How about cheering on the team FFS! always do but it has made no difference unless I missed all the (many) home wins this season.
Kadeem Hardison Posted 25 December, 2008 Posted 25 December, 2008 how bout this 1. its quiet big but i woudnt say massive:
red&white4life Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 All flags and banners are checked by the stewards as you enter so you would have to hide it under your coat. Col.
View From The Top Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 How about "No Alternative"? Only to those with small, closed minds.
Legod Third Coming Posted 26 December, 2008 Author Posted 26 December, 2008 Half-time, just before kick off, that's the best time. So, get the wording agreed eh lads?
jawillwill Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 how bout this 1. its quiet big but i woudnt say massive: lol did you even read the thread? Whooooooooosh? Oh and by the way its 'quite'. :smt044
Legod Third Coming Posted 26 December, 2008 Author Posted 26 December, 2008 lol did you even read the thread? Whooooooooosh? Oh and by the way its 'quite'. :smt044 It is also quiet. Unless you know of a singing banana?
hamster Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Thousands of white hankies IMO. Accompanied by the chanting it really won't need organising by an uber fan. Just make sure people know to take them. A banner will be good, but will get confiscated and may lead to crowd/steward trouble. Rupert; you can take our club, you can take our banner, but you will NEVER take our handkerchiefs. This IMO will also gain more TV coverage before, during and after the match. Brilliant!
1976_Child Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Massive banner for united? United don't need a banner. They are a good footballing club. We are the ones who need a banner. Should read something like: "LOWE OUT"

Junior Mullet Posted 26 December, 2008 Posted 26 December, 2008 Please no, I am really not looking forward to the Reading game or any game now as we are going to have the anti Lowe stuff ruining the atmosphere. The Reading staff will rub their hands in expectation knowing the club is in turmoil Sorry Nick, it's too late. I don't see any way this season can be turned around now and today's team looked like we were preparing for Div 1 next year (and a struggle next year at that - face it every team in Div 1 would want to kick our asses). I've no doubt we're currently in talks to sell the last of our family silver. I think we all now owe it to the club we love to make our feelings known and hope that it brings about some sort of change (a new manager first of all - Jan is simply incapable of getting the best from these youngsters but I do ask myself who else would possibly be prepared to sacrifice their manhood and become Lowe's glove puppet). I realy do fear the level that Lowe will take us to if he stays in charge. Nick, I generally agree with your views expressed on here but I've now had enough - at this stage of the season carrying on in hope with the current set up would be akin to sticking my head in the sand.

KCUK Posted 27 December, 2008 Posted 27 December, 2008 Personally, I'd go with '**** off you smug git.' But for clarity, it has to be 'LOWE OUT'. I look forward to seeing it here in Sydney as I watch Man Ure humiliate us in front of millions around the world. Thanks Wupert. ****.
pilsburydoughboy Posted 27 December, 2008 Posted 27 December, 2008 You can be sure that Mr Lowe will ban all banners from the Man Utd game.
