September Saint Posted 25 September, 2014 Posted 25 September, 2014 I hope our players are all up for it, and not knackered through staying up till stupid o clock playing FIFA15 ;-) How about a revamped version, of what has to be the worst song we ever had (I refused to sing it), the cringeworthy "We're staying up, with Harry and Jim" God just typing it makes me want to vomit. The new version, when we are cruising along 3 or 4 goals to the good, could be "You're going down, with Harry and Glenn" Who remembers "Harry and Jim, they're the boys" Good Days (or not) We live and learn
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 25 September, 2014 Posted 25 September, 2014 Got a bad feeling about Saturday's game. I can see the bubble bursting and us slipping up. :-/
Jonnyboy Posted 25 September, 2014 Posted 25 September, 2014 Was going to go but no way am I paying £40 to chip in for Saggys retirement fund. http://footballburp.com/magazine/the-best-askharry-tweets-for-harry-redknapp/
pap Posted 25 September, 2014 Posted 25 September, 2014 I think we need to base any new songs off Glenn and Chris's Diamond Lights. [video=youtube_share;1KEMMfV5-Qg] See Dalek if you don't have a copy of your own.
JxgrSaint Posted 25 September, 2014 Posted 25 September, 2014 Think we should be winning this one comfortably, what with all their injuries and the fact that they are generally shambollôcks on the road...

lickierambert Posted 25 September, 2014 Posted 25 September, 2014 I've seen the future, and it's depressing. Here's the highlights: Before game-muted boos for Redknapp 1 minute-Clyne touches ball. Crowd unanimously shouts shoot. 15 minutes-Rob Green saves tame Tadic free kick 37 minutes-Literally nothing is happening. Crowd silent 56 minutes-Charlie Austin scores inside the box after Fonte mistake 69 minutes-Long scuffs half chance wide of post 73 minutes-Wanyama gets sent off for second bookable offence, after reacting to Karl Henry's late challenge 90 + 1 minutes- Pelle shoots from 25 yards. Ends up in row Z, crowd leaves en masse. Post game-MOTD purr over Redknapp, Ferdinand and Austin. Joey Barton posts blithely on twitter, Alpine turns up on this board. Sunday-everyone tries to take their mind off the awful Saturday by watching the golf. I collect my winnings by betting on the above. Sorry guys.
pap Posted 25 September, 2014 Posted 25 September, 2014 Do something useful and sort the lottery numbers, future boy.
pap Posted 25 September, 2014 Posted 25 September, 2014 Can't take credit for this corker. Found it on The MUSH Bible, a Facebook community. https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-MUSH-Bible/1463640217221915
Heisenberg Posted 25 September, 2014 Posted 25 September, 2014 Anyone know why the players do some juggling in training sessions? Is that a Dutch mind/skill thing? Dint think ive seen that before

Faz Posted 25 September, 2014 Posted 25 September, 2014 Learning a trade for life after football? I was to.d tonight that, apparently, there is a three year degree course at Winchester University on Street Theatre FFS.
hypochondriac Posted 25 September, 2014 Posted 25 September, 2014 At first glance I thought that said Jaidi.
buctootim Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 I was to.d tonight that, apparently, there is a three year degree course at Winchester University on Street Theatre FFS. Is week 1 'How to have a shower'?
doddisalegend Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 I was to.d tonight that, apparently, there is a three year degree course at Winchester University on Street Theatre FFS. No apparently about it mate, I work there, it is all true:shakey:
doddisalegend Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Got a bad feeling about Saturday's game. I can see the bubble bursting and us slipping up. :-/ I think the longer our good form goes on the more we will all get that feeling. QPR are going to have to rise their game a lot and we are going to have to have a real dog turd of a performance for them to win I reckon

You actually might not be that far off the truth, I can see it being tougher than expected. Hopefully our fans get behind the side if that's the case and don't start 'showing their frustration' as happened against West Brom.

Good luck with your bet, but frankly I think this in-game betting lark is getting ridiculous. I hark back to the good old days of MLT kicking off straight into touch, it was a simpler game then...
Plastic Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 All about the team talk from Mr Koeman. Inspiration is the key, and he appears to have decent form in this regard. Think we'll be ok.
SO16_Saint Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Did anyone in the team get relegated with under Redknapp? Morgan maybe? for the players it's just another game, pressure shouldn't get to them. We will be fine. A win by 3
svetigpung Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Think we should be winning this one comfortably, what with all their injuries and the fact that they are generally shambollôcks on the road... well that's made it a certain 0 - 1 result then

Benali Saint Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Really want us to smash that Twitchy git. But would be happy with a 1-0 win
eelpie Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 I detest that saggy faced wheeler dealer(Harry takes offence to that, as a video on youtube showed the other week) more than any other manager in the premier league Koeman said Harry Redknapp is a successful manager with a lot of experience. 'I am not the person to look through the managerial history of Southampton; He is someone who I will respect, and everyone else should be respectful too'

david in sweden Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Despite their lowly status it hasn't always been easy to get all the points v QPR....with our recent run of good form, this ought to be a 5-0 win if we play well and are to be taken seriously..... ........but I'd be equally happy with a 1-0.
Saint Charlie Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Would probably give Chung Lee a go from the bench for this one.
doddisalegend Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 He'll be in for a bit of a shock if he manages a Derby game then lol Sadly I think we may have wait many (many, many) years before another saints v pompey game......
Jack Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Sadly I think we may have wait many (many, many) years before another saints v pompey game...... Yep, they can't even manage to get in the same cup draws as us any more. Funny, but also slightly sad. In a funny way.
Jez Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Early goal and job done - we'll continue on to get 3 or 4 I reckon. If we don't get an early goal, the fans will get jittery, too much expectation that the wheels are gonna come off at some point, and QPR will score first meaning we'll be in for a slog.
doddisalegend Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 QPR really are dire a few stats from the BBC QPR •Only Everton (13) have conceded more league goals than QPR (11) this season. •QPR scored twice as many goals against Stoke last time out (2) than they had managed in their previous five games this season. •However, they are only side yet to score a Premier League goal in open play. •They have scored just 11 goals in 14 Premier League away games under Harry Redknapp. •Niko Kranjcar's goal against Stoke last weekend was his first league strike since February 2012. It must say something about the make up of saints fans that so many of us seem to be expecting us to lose this game despite QPR being so ****e....

doddisalegend Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 All runs of results exist for one reason.... to end. Hopefully we can postpone that end for a while though. Don't disagree just interesting we all feel it will end against arguably the worst team in the league....
MongoNeil Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Nope, nobody at the club now played under redknapp. Not even Kelvin?
Danbert Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Obviously we could have a bad day at the office and they could park the bus and nick it but I'd expect and hope that we play them off the park. They are truly pants.
MongoNeil Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Just checked Wiki, you're absolutely right. That was a scarily mediocre squad that year (Bale aside).
Chez Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 we always seem to **** it up against QPR. Hopefully tomorrow will be different. Personally I am more than happy to get on the back of the skates Cunflaps, Traore and Kranjcar.
buctootim Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Some limited teams are organised enough to come to SMS, shut us out and get a point. I cant see QPR managing that.
ericofarabia Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 At first glance I thought that said Jaidi. I thought it was something to do with Dubai, and was surprised that I'd already posted on the thread, yet couldn't remember doing so, until I got to the bit about the name change!!
Graffito Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 Redknapp gets ever more reptilian. No real issue with Hoddle except that if QPR are to get anything from the game, probably it will be down to his tactical nous.
broken spoke Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 I think they will park their bus all afternoon... just hope our boys can put it on bricks, and nick the wheels...
Lighthouse Posted 26 September, 2014 Posted 26 September, 2014 we always seem to **** it up against QPR. Hopefully tomorrow will be different. Personally I am more than happy to get on the back of the skates Cunflaps, Traore and Kranjcar. Last time out maybe but we spanked them in their own back yard in the away game (before 'Arry was there). Hopefully they put out the same dreadful performances they've been doing in every other game so far.
