Liverpool police have reportedly contacted their Manchester counterparts about a similar case, this one related to a young player (whose name cannot be disclosed for legal reasons) who has been traced to the local branch of Nandos. At this time there is nothing to suggest the two cases are linked as no-one has yet seen the young man kick a ball and therefore it is difficult to ascertain whether or not he is a genuine footballer.

It has been reported due to the youth's portly size, it is doubted that the lad plays football and is actually used to sitting watching the game.

Made by our very own Pap...

Possibly the inspiration, but can't take credit for the fine detail in that article.

Hardly his fault. You'd have thought that somebody would have checked that they had a pair of shorts big enough before they wrote out the cheque.

Good stuff

There was also a mock up of the Liverpool Echo front page accusing a Soton gang of robbing Liverpool FC of £50m

Can't find it

Can anyone help please?

Would like to see that if anyone can find it?

Pap's original was better. Less is more, that one is a bit over-worked. Amusing in places.

Cheers mush, although it does go to show what can happen when you leave things to interpretation :) *

* "sir! we have the shot!"
