Maggie May Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 There are certain players, no matter who they were playing for, that Saints just couldn't cope with. Here are some I could think of: Dion Dublin Tomasz Radzinski Lukaku Ian Wright
nathan Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Jamie Scowcroft (sp?). Always seemed to score against us.
TheCholulaKid Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Ian Wright Definitely. Can remember seeing at least 3 hatricks he scored against us.
johnnyboy Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 john salako always had ablinder against us
Saint Charlie Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Charlie Austin has a decent record against us.
Bananaman Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 David James played a few worldies against us.. notably for the fish ****ers
so22saint Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Gary Speed. God rest his soul. Scored in almost every game he played against us it seemed...
kpturner Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Andy Ritchie broke my heart several times I seem to recall
Appy Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Not sure how Lukaku qualifies mind He was garbage at St Mary's last season, almost hilariously bad.
sadoldgit Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 (edited) Jos Hooiveld LOL. But on a serious note, most ex Saints strikers seem to come back to score goals against us. Edited 21 September, 2014 by sadoldgit sp
alpine_saint Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Paul Rideout Robert Pires Ronnie Rosenthal
simondo Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 trevor Sinclair??? (he's got a pineapple on his head..) I remember he came on for Wednesday at the dell at half time when we were 2-0 up and playing well, and he ran us ragged and we lost 2-3 and then he ran us ragged a couple of times after that...
Patrick Bateman Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Ronny Rosenthal Grrrrr, yes. THAT night ...
Saints Fan Dan Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Alan Shearer always scored against us. I'd probably hate him if he hadn't played for us.
Badger Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Going back a few years, but Frank Worthington always managed to score against us.
Gemmel Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Neville Southall And as mentioned - Ian Wright and Dion Dublin. One for the oldies.... Ian Wallace
SuperSAINT Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Definitely. Can remember seeing at least 3 hatricks he scored against us. Did he once hit 4 past us at the Dell? Or is my mind playing tricks?
krissyboy31 Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Kevin Phillips. Sure that was one of the reasons we signed him. The same could be said of Rickie Lambert after THAT cup tie at Bristol Rovers with dumb and dumber in charge.
Lighthouse Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Robert Pires sticks out in my mind. Scored 5 against us in one season, including a hat trick at Highbury and the Cup final winner.
sambosa75 Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 He was garbage at St Mary's last season, almost hilariously bad. Totally agree. I remember on at least 2 occasions him dribbling the ball out for a throw in under no pressure at all. Saw you are in Isleworth. Ever get in the Red Lion or Woodlands?!
View From The Top Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Adrian Heath? That's ruined my day.
Hatch Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Peter Beagrie, I'm sure that Doddsy still has nightmares about him.
Kenilworthy Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Radzinski for both Everton and Fulham
Appy Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Totally agree. I remember on at least 2 occasions him dribbling the ball out for a throw in under no pressure at all. Saw you are in Isleworth. Ever get in the Red Lion or Woodlands?! I don't, either the Ailsa or the Apprentice are my locals.
pap Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Peter Beagrie, I'm sure that Doddsy still has nightmares about him. Any fear of Peter Beagrie can be countered by imagining a person with a Far Eastern accent enthusiastically pronouncing his name.
kwsaint Posted 21 September, 2014 Posted 21 September, 2014 Lukaku was poor last season playing for Everton, but the season before he was superb for West Brom. I seem to remember that he played down the right so that he was up against Danny Fox. Really not a fair contest and Fox ended up getting himself sent off for one of the latest tackles I remember. Agree with the comment about David James. He was superb playing for the Skates in the cup match in 2010.
