Sheaf Saint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Will be interesting to see what tactical changes Monk will make at HT now, and how we react to that.
JoeShmoe Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Fonte doing all he can to get sent off, very lucky there
sandwichsaint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Will be interesting to see what tactical changes Monk will make at HT now, and how we react to that. I hope that's the other way round!
Minty Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Yoshi has done ok, but his main error was letting Routledge in behind him when they hit the woodwork.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 20 September, 2014 Author Posted 20 September, 2014 Bertrand having a very good game
Smirking_Saint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Sometimes that's just what an away game is like. Can't go everywhere and dominate, Swansea always have loads of the ball at home. Not saying we should dominate, RK rightly or wrongly has set up to take the game to them, now they have 10 men it may work but ultimately Id of liked to have seen VW on here
Plastic Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Some steel in this team. Not the delicate flowers of last year.
DG Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Lucky to be in at HT level, would think about getting both Davis and Wanyama on.
andoru Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Midfield needs a rocket up its arse. Get Wanyama on and start winning the 50-50s. Swap Gardos in for either of the two CBs because I can see a second yellow coming.
JakkoUK Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Can guarantee one of are CB's will get sent off, this refs pretty trigger happy and will wanna make it "equal"
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 20 September, 2014 Author Posted 20 September, 2014 Well..... The refs terrible Yep a real idiot.. The crowd will be all over every tackle we make screaming for a sending off..
Ohio Saint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Bony had to go, and has ruined the game for neutrals. Even with a 10 man Swansea I will be very happy with a point here.
Sheaf Saint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 I hope that's the other way round! Why? Monk has to decide how to reorganise his team now they are a man down. Whatever he decides, we need to change our tactics accordingly.
sandwichsaint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Rattle off a win here and we will be second, a couple of goals on the GD and we will likely be top right through the weekend.
Manuel Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Worried that both CB's on yellows. Maybe Victor for Cork/Ward Prowse can take off a bit of pressure.
Verbal Kint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Bony was dominating the game (not their midfield) so he should feel pretty stupid getting himself sent off like that. Good player but obviously a bit thick. I'd be tempted to take Yoshida off as the ref will even this up if given the chance
JoeShmoe Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 This would have been perfect for Mane, Long and Tadic have been very quiet Pelle has been superb, won everything and the back 4 have been good as Swansea have been well on top
Saint Without a Halo Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Davis Gardos and Wanyama on during the 2nd half for JWP Yoshi (to avoid 2nd booking) and either Cork or Long depending on how ambitious we want to be 2nd half!
farawaysaint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Should probably get Yoshi off, crowd will be baying for a red for him.
Saint Jude Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 big 45 minutes coming up...get a win here.. build confidence for the visit of QPR.. or drop back into the pack...
NewYorkSaint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 We have a fantastic chance to win now. Tadic and Bertrand have had terrific games. Bring on Big Vic! And I'd consider Gardos for Fonte or Yoshida. Worried about a sending off.
Saint Charlie Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Would possibly chuck Kelvin on. Havent been watching or listening but Forster shaky.
sandwichsaint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Why? Monk has to decide how to reorganise his team now they are a man down. Whatever he decides, we need to change our tactics accordingly. Surely we need to change our mentality to the home team? Get control in the middle of the park (VW) and release the FBs to get fd and get some service into the front players. I don't expect RK to sit back for 45 mins and try and neutralise their 10 men. We will keep it tight for another 15 mins but then we need to stretch their 10 men to tire them and force mistakes.
CanadaSaint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 It's been really difficult to get our full backs forward - such a key to our game. Good to see them pushing Dyer inside after Bony's red. It gives Bertrand the chance to push up and get the Bertrand/Tadic thing going again. We can win this but Moss has a really itchy trigger finger and I'll be surprised if we end up with eleven on the pitch.
Ohio Saint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 I'm betting the ref is spending HT figuring out his booking tactics for the next half.
Goatboy Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Would possibly chuck Kelvin on. Havent been watching or listening but Forster shaky. What the hell are you on about?
Ohio Saint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Would possibly chuck Kelvin on. Havent been watching or listening but Forster shaky. hehe!!
Patrick Bateman Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Would possibly chuck Kelvin on. Havent been watching or listening but Forster shaky. What planet are you on?
Minty Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Swansea WILL catch us on the break if we get complacent. Gotta be positive but not overconfident.
Appy Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Would possibly chuck Kelvin on. Havent been watching or listening but Forster shaky. HAHA
Smirking_Saint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Gardos on, makes sense Shame for Maya as he was playing well
KingdomCome Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Gordos on for Yoshi. Good move, could see Yoshi getting a second yellow very easily
Saint Charlie Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Gardos for Maya. Sensible. Four CBs used in last two games. Last season that would be Jos coming on. Squad stronger now.
Minty Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Called that pretty early - hope it works out.
BG_Saint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 I hope RK had a good talk with Fonte. He seemed on a red card trajectory before HT...
adrian lord Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Nice move that change Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Saint Charlie Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 I hope RK had a good talk with Fonte. He seemed on a red card trajectory before HT... Hope so. As Skipper he shouldnt really need a chat.
iansums Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 No way are we going to finish with 11 men.
Saint Charlie Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Bertrand booked. Need to keep composure.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 20 September, 2014 Author Posted 20 September, 2014 Crowd and monk got Bertand booked...nothing foul...ref is poor still
BG_Saint Posted 20 September, 2014 Posted 20 September, 2014 Hope so. As Skipper he shouldnt really need a chat. Even the best players can lose their nerves. Interesting what's going on on the pitch though - now Bertrand looks nervous
