PES Posted 26 December, 2008 Author Share Posted 26 December, 2008 The way both teams are performing at the mo, the floating stadium would be called Titanic! Yes, even better and reflecting the heritage of our two cities would be...... THE TITANIC VICTORY STADIUM (Which also serves notice of our intentions to our oponents) obviously stadium sponsorship may come into the equation so we would need to be flexible and for monetary reasons embrace our new home as....... THE KELLOGS CRUNCHY NUT CORNFLAKE TITANIC VICTORY STADIUM or such like. Sadly this will lessen the intimidating nature of the Stadiums name, but I guess this is the 'Modern' way. PES Posted 26 December, 2008 Author Share Posted 26 December, 2008 If we had a floating stadium, we could play one week in Southampton, then float the stadium down to Pompey and play the next home game there. Yes again another great idea. Another possibility would be to alternate Pick ups. We could pick up Fans in Southampton Docks, then Gosport and finally Portsmouth harbour before floating out to just off Spithead fort for Kick off. The club would have a captive audience so all beer, food and retail profits would go directly to the club. Sadly due to geographical restrictions fans from Leigh park, Winchester, Fareham and Eastleigh (Sorry ESB) will have to make their own way to the 3 designated pick up points. We could arrange a fleet of small boats to ferry fans from Winchester, Eastleigh, Stockbridge and a few other places down the Itchen and Test to Southampton Water and pick up near to the old Meridian Studios. Now where did we do this before; a myriad of small craft taking a beleaguered collection of people shell-shocked and defeated?

saintwarwick Posted 26 December, 2008 Share Posted 26 December, 2008 (edited) Of course! Sorry Al, Brilliant suggestion. I guess we should drop one of the lesser luninaries from the list (Like Charles Dickens) to make room for Benny. I also propose the new team enter the Stadium to the Theme music from Benny Hill too! Our football is similar to sketches from Benny Hill shows so that would be very fitting. Edited 26 December, 2008 by saintwarwick

Hatch Posted 27 December, 2008 Share Posted 27 December, 2008 To start off this new Entente Cordiale , I shall be going to the Emirates on Sunday, to watch Arsenal v Portsmouth, but I shall be wearing my Saints Shirt so that the nice Pompey fans can identify with me. PES Posted 29 December, 2008 Author Share Posted 29 December, 2008 Christmas is over M****R F*****S! F*** you all, when we get relegated we'll still be in a division above your rabble! All my charitable plans are now officially shelved. I still maintain all intellectual rights to Southmouth FC including Images and all likenesses. MY LAWYERS ARE WATCHING
