BG_Saint Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/social/jonas-gutierrez-says-alan-pardew-told-him-to-go-away-after-newcastle-found-out-he-had-cancer Utter disgrace if true. Glad that man has nothing to do with the club anymore.
alpine_saint Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 If true, Pardew is a c**t. Lets face it, with his still-shrouded-in-mystery departure from us and his Glaswegian marial arts on a Hull player, he has previous for insane behaviour...
Lorne Malvo Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 Surely Pardew meant 'go away and sort yourself out'? Can't believe, even with his previous nutter episodes he would say just 'go away'.
twopintsnilnil Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 Newcastle gave him leave to go back to Argentina. I think this is willful misinterpretation.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 Tact isn't exactly Mr Pardew's strong suit, as this incident demonstrated. But, I'd still be quite surprised if this were true. Hope Jonas recovers fully, a timely reminder - get checking boys!
sadoldgit Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 Newcastle gave him leave to go back to Argentina. I think this is willful misinterpretation. I think you are right.
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 Newcastle gave him leave to go back to Argentina. I think this is willful misinterpretation. Absolutely.
Monkou Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 Something lost in translation I would imagine. The very fact that he wanted to be treated back in Argentina so that he could better understand the doctors suggests his English was not the best. A non story this one.

The very fact that he wanted to be treated back in Argentina so that he could better understand the doctors suggests his English was not the best. A non story this one. Indeed. He may have "lost it" on the touch line but he isn't the first one to do so. I really don't think he would be so callous. As for his sacking Alpine I am sure that was more to do with a clash of personalities with Cortese
scotty Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 (edited) Newcastle gave him leave to go back to Argentina. I think this is willful misinterpretation. Agreed. Pardew probably told him he could "go away for as long as it takes to recover", or something, as opposed to the articles implication of "well f*ck off then." Edit, just seen a picture of Gutierrez's bird. Maybe pards had an ulterior motive?? Edited 17 September, 2014 by scotty
eurosaint Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 My daughter and son-in-law met the Pardew family on holiday in Portugal and said that he was a perfectly normal human being, courteous even ! I'd be amazed if he actually said what Gutierrez has alleged, it just doesn't figure !
Suomi Saint Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 I think these anti-Pardew threads are just silly. This has been misinterpreted pure and simple. There is absolutely no evidence that he is a heavy gambling womaniser either. He comes across well in interviews and at least recognised the Saints fans craving for a trophy. He got us back to winning ways and signed some really good players. I, for one, have no issues with him.
Professor Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 Alan Pardew, Manager of the season just two years ago, is now the Newcastle fans scapegoat for their team not doing well. For people to then go on a character assassination exercise is about as despicable as you can get. This thread has no place on the Saints' forum.
Smirking_Saint Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 He's always been a ****, has basically ****ed off every changing room he has been at and looks like he's lost newcastles aswell. Highly egotistical, the blokes a tit And he didnt leave saints due to a 'players wive' it was as he'd basically decided to leave anyway
Smirking_Saint Posted 17 September, 2014 Posted 17 September, 2014 FFS why couldn't I have been good at football. Im sure your personality shines through.............. Oh
