benjii Posted 23 December, 2008 Share Posted 23 December, 2008 Bloody lovely stuff. First stumbled upon this by chance in a small hotel bar in the Loire valley. Happy to see Tesco and Asda sell it now. I plan to drink some over Christmas
La BoIS Saint Posted 23 December, 2008 Share Posted 23 December, 2008 Not a bad beer. Other good tripels that are reasonably accessible are Chimay White, Tripel Karmeliet and Westmalle Tripel.
saint1977 Posted 8 January, 2009 Share Posted 8 January, 2009 Not a bad beer. Other good tripels that are reasonably accessible are Chimay White, Tripel Karmeliet and Westmalle Tripel. Westmalle is the pick of those. Not that I've had a beer for a while, blasted flu but on the mend now. Means I have a fair old beer stock left over that I couldn't touch over XMAS though! Marsdinho Posted 9 January, 2009 Share Posted 9 January, 2009 I was first introduced to this in a little bar just outside Lille. I was chatting away with a work colleague whislt drinking a few of these and didnt realise how p1ssed I was getting, until I tried to stand up...!!!! By the end of the evening, we had renamed it Greenburger on based on what came out of my mouth at the end of the night. Potent stuff Also, some of the best posters for beer ive seen http://www.saveur-biere.com/blog/images/grimbergen-pub.jpg
