Saint_clark Posted 13 September, 2014 Author Posted 13 September, 2014 After the first goal went in they paused it, went back to the 5 minute counter and then skipped around different stills from the match (including times when there were different scores up). Then they reset again before finally (about 3 or 4 minutes later) getting back to where they were.
yellow&blue Posted 13 September, 2014 Posted 13 September, 2014 Also the commentator said that Francis Benali was due to return to St Andrews at half time.........clueless!!
Pancake Posted 13 September, 2014 Posted 13 September, 2014 ****ed up proper innit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

angelman Posted 13 September, 2014 Posted 13 September, 2014 Almost as bad as the announcer at SMS who said that the first substitute was Mayuka (for Long).
Bananaman Posted 13 September, 2014 Posted 13 September, 2014 Or as bad as match of the day who said that southampton beat west brom last week
Jonnyboy Posted 13 September, 2014 Posted 13 September, 2014 Or as bad as match of the day who said that southampton beat west brom last week I noticed that. Lineker plonker.
The Majestic Channon Posted 14 September, 2014 Posted 14 September, 2014 Look skyports website and Alan McNally's summary of the game.. Nice to be acknowledged.....
oldskoolsi Posted 14 September, 2014 Posted 14 September, 2014 Better than Match of the day, who didn't even acknowledge Benali's effort. Although I just watched the Saints part so they may have done so elsewhere.
adrian lord Posted 14 September, 2014 Posted 14 September, 2014 The Sky highlights were blighted by the taters' who prattled on constantly about how poor Newcastle were without crediting Saints' wondrous play at all.
ratio_decidendi Posted 14 September, 2014 Posted 14 September, 2014 Better than Match of the day, who didn't even acknowledge Benali's effort. Although I just watched the Saints part so they may have done so elsewhere. They didn't. Here's why: "References to Charities in Other BBC Output 16.4.56 Apart from the BBC Appeals and cross-BBC charity fundraising initiatives outlined above, BBC programmes and online content should not appeal for funds for charities or urge audiences to give money to any particular charity. 16.4.57 We must retain our impartiality and independence when we cover the work of charities and not appear to favour one charity over another." Makes sense to me.
oldskoolsi Posted 14 September, 2014 Posted 14 September, 2014 They didn't. Here's why: Makes sense to me. But they already did something about it on FF. So that wont work. They could have even made it a cross-BBC charity fundraising initiative by haivngh weekly updates on MOTD and/or FF.
CB Fry Posted 14 September, 2014 Posted 14 September, 2014 But they already did something about it on FF. So that wont work. They could have even made it a cross-BBC charity fundraising initiative by haivngh weekly updates on MOTD and/or FF. Behave. It's Franny Benali FFS. If it was, say, ex-Leicester player Steve Walsh or ex-WBA star Jason Koumas doing it, no one on here would really give a toss. There are lots of charity appeals, and while Franny's is a fine effort for a good cause it is just one of many. You can't expect the BBC to give up pan-corporation air time to someone barely known outside of Hampshire.
September Saint Posted 14 September, 2014 Posted 14 September, 2014 Almost as bad as the announcer at SMS who said that the first substitute was Mayuka (for Long). I heard that. When I saw him on the pitch I thought he must be on steroids. And why was he playing in front of the back four.

You can't expect the BBC to give up pan-corporation air time to someone barely known outside of Hampshire. Sky did it, so why not the beeb? I can expect them to give up a couple of minutes on MOTD when they gave up a couple of minutes on FF. As for a weekly updates, maybe not just on Franny, but *if* BBC had got involved it could've turned into that mountain climbing thing they did with b list celebrities a few years ago and gotten a lot more attention. As for Koumas and Walsh, I'd like to to think when they came here a sticky thread would've been made here to make people aware, certainly local rags getting involved, possibly local radio and TV. Hopefully Franny attempted to do so at each club he visited to make people give a toss.
