buctootim Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Stockholm. Built on islands so always a feeling of space and views over water. Summer on the archipelago.
Jonnyboy Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Paris, stunning architecture all over the place.
mcjwills Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Been to Prague been to Paris but nothing beats Monaco
Turkish Posted 9 September, 2014 Author Posted 9 September, 2014 Barcelona - it's got the lot That was my number 2
Halo Stickman Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Stockholm. Built on islands so always a feeling of space and views over water. Summer on the archipelago. Agree. Beautiful city, stunning archipelago. Only downside I found – drinks etc can be expensive.
Goatboy Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Have to have a shout for Amsterdam too. I've been going for over 20 years and will probably never stop. And no, it's not for the ho's.
Toadhall Saint Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Berlin is pretty decent Not a city as such but Carcassonne in France is nice in a small kind if way.
Gorgiesaint Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Valencia, not the easiest to get to but great weather, food and beaches. Great architecture (old & new), the ricketty old Mestella and potentially the new one. Barcelona, Rome & Krakow also decent shouts as well.
buctootim Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Agree. Beautiful city, stunning archipelago. Only downside I found – drinks etc can be expensive. That actually creates a plus - Swedes socialise a lot at home, often passing round hooch they distilled themselves and flavoured with sweets. Had a couple of great nights on parma violet vodka.

Had a couple of great nights on parma violet vodka. I've never had that but can taste it anyway. I think I've just done a little sick in my mouth.
Edmonton Saint Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Copenhagen. Love that place. Reasonably priced alcohol for Scandinavia, a great vibe, some classic architecture, stunning Women, and I just love strolling through the main shopping street and down by the harbour. Plus you can easily go across the Oresund Bridge for a coffee in Malmo.
Goatboy Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 You should shower and pay more goaty. They'll give in eventually. Not when they find out what I want. Cleanliness is no distraction.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 London (hometown bias), or Barcelona. Only place I've seriously considered leaving for. Budapest is great too.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Have to have a shout for Amsterdam too. I've been going for over 20 years and will probably never stop. And no, it's not for the ho's. GB likes to blaze!
Turkish Posted 9 September, 2014 Author Posted 9 September, 2014 That actually creates a plus - Swedes socialise a lot at home, often passing round hooch they distilled themselves and flavoured with sweets. Had a couple of great nights on parma violet vodka. Orange juice, water, sugar and bread. Filtered through a sock and drank in a squash bottle on Saturday night. Ahhh, Wandsworth a wing, I miss you sometimes.
Patrick Bateman Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Southampton. Obviously. Definitely, all footballers would be wowed by the city. The stunning countryside and the cruise terminal. Budapest for me and the Pest part in particular - love it. Spent almost 1 week in 6 there for a couple of years, fantastic city.

Goatboy Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 GB likes to blaze! When you're staked out in the paddock, grass is your friend.

buctootim Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 When you're staked out in the paddock, grass is your friend. I can see the Amsterdam ho's POV
View From The Top Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Berlin takes some beating and I love Copenhagen as well but Venice packs the WoW and Rome beats you over the head with history. My missus has just piped up with Florence & Parma. We are just sorting out a city break double header with the kids and it looks like Munich / Vienna is the plan.
Goatboy Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 I can see the Amsterdam ho's POV I like the coy one in the middle pretending not to watch.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 When you're staked out in the paddock, grass is your friend. Good lad. Also, were the goat and the bear away on some sort of animal away day? You both seemed to go quiet for a while. Welcome back yo!
Goatboy Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Good lad. Also, were the goat and the bear away on some sort of animal away day? You both seemed to go quiet for a while. Welcome back yo! French countryside for me. I think Bear is more Kavos than Calvados.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 French countryside for me. I think Bear is more Kavos than Calvados. You two were off getting baked somewhere. Don't lie to me. where was my invite?
Goatboy Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 You two were off getting baked somewhere. Don't lie to me. where was my invite? ok, ok. It was just a spot of watersports.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 I like Montpellier , But Dublin is tops for me.
SW5 SAINT Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 I like Oslo, great laid back feel to it, beautiful setting.
KingdomCome Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 I'd have to say Florence. Simply the most beautiful city I've been to. Although many of the buildings were looking a bit pollution weary. Think London would be up there too.
SuperMikey Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Another vote for Amsterdam here, just got back from my 4th trip there. It's known for the nightlife (and those who dwell in it) but it's actually a really nice place as well. Beautiful canals, great museums and loads of little bars and restaurants. I find that it's incredibly clean as well, unlike London, Paris etc. The green is just the cherry on top!
Horley CTFC Saint Posted 9 September, 2014 Posted 9 September, 2014 Rome but Lisbon has something of the night about it. Some great modern architecture in Valencia - Calatrava and Edinburgh or Bath for the British Isles
thefunkygibbons Posted 10 September, 2014 Posted 10 September, 2014 Three spring to mind Oslo - they have the whole work life balance sorted Stockholm - beautiful walking city Rome - so much history, Pick one - hmmmm - got to be Rome because of the whole Catholic thing
CylonKing Posted 10 September, 2014 Posted 10 September, 2014 Easy peasy, Berlin for me without a doubt. German beer, German food (Big Pork Knuckles) and the best night life of any city I've been to (lots of Heavy Metal). A shed load of your typical museums and then smaller museums for more niche tastes, i.e. the Ramones museum. We go at least twice a year for long weekends. Absolutely love the place. Good shouts for Barcelona and Paris as well. If you're ever in Paris, check out Black Dog. It's a Heavy Metal bar with the greatest steak restaurant in the back.
hypochondriac Posted 10 September, 2014 Posted 10 September, 2014 Rome or florence. Nothing else comes close.
The Majestic Channon Posted 10 September, 2014 Posted 10 September, 2014 Although smaller than Malmö..Helsingborg is far nicer imo , as is Gothenburg.
bridge too far Posted 10 September, 2014 Posted 10 September, 2014 Tough one - I'd find it hard to choose between Barcelona, Athens and Bruges. Love them all for different reasons.
badgerx16 Posted 10 September, 2014 Posted 10 September, 2014 Vienna. Seconded, also Helsinki, ( in winter ).
sadoldgit Posted 10 September, 2014 Posted 10 September, 2014 Venice followed by Florence. Never fussed about Venice until I went a few years ago and realised what all the fuss was about.
Saint_Pedro Posted 10 September, 2014 Posted 10 September, 2014 Florence every time - beautiful architecture, fantastic food, and not as bullish as Rome.
JackanorySFC Posted 10 September, 2014 Posted 10 September, 2014 1- London - Not only the greatest City in Europe, I'd say the World. 2- Venice - Stunning, not an ugly building in sight and truly unique. 3- San Sebastian - Best food in Europe and a very cool attitude.
sebastian firefly Posted 10 September, 2014 Posted 10 September, 2014 rome,Lisbon,Antwerp never ever go to Naples or Marseilles utter sh1teholes
Saint Mikey Posted 10 September, 2014 Posted 10 September, 2014 1. Barcelona 2. Berlin 3. Athens 4. Prague
