Secret Site Agent Posted 3 September, 2014 Share Posted 3 September, 2014 Not quite sure why the fuss about this.. It's says nothing that is moot true... We finished 8th and then lost most of that side and MP' date=' that we have replaced with signings that have done well in other leagues, but will need to show they can deliver in the prem... So we will need some luck.. Which I take to mean we must hope these new players are able to adapt to ten prem and deliver as well as those who have departed... What's so wrong with that ?[/quote'] It's the same story for Man U and they are winners

SaintRobbie Posted 3 September, 2014 Share Posted 3 September, 2014 Fox sport!? The sports version of Fox News? I'd rather read the Daily Mail assessments!
Hamilton Saint Posted 3 September, 2014 Share Posted 3 September, 2014 Always funny when Yanks talk about "soccer" Why? They use the term "soccer" because there is already a sport there called football. It would be confusing to use the same term for both, eh? I find it "funny" (actually, it's rather disgusting) to hear the British media refer to the F.A. Cup as "The F.A. Cup with Budweiser". And the League Cup referred to as the "Capital One Cup". Hamilton Saint Posted 3 September, 2014 Share Posted 3 September, 2014 Yea, and Canadians for that matter Hilarious, ain't it? I find it funny when Brits are unable to distinguish between the terms North America, America, The United States, Canada and Mexico. It's not too complicated. Hamilton Saint Posted 3 September, 2014 Share Posted 3 September, 2014 Fox sport!? The sports version of Fox News? I'd rather read the Daily Mail assessments! Yes. Fox News is despicable. Another horrible enterprise foisted upon us by Rupert Murdoch.
syd_barrett_saint Posted 4 September, 2014 Share Posted 4 September, 2014 Lovely bit of prejudice and catch-all stereotyping in this thread about Americans. I'm guessing you've all got a serious inferiority complex. Stop and think for a moment about how much you sound like Bompey fans.
BlakeySFC Posted 4 September, 2014 Share Posted 4 September, 2014 It's all fun and games Syd, they stereotype us enough, can't we have a little bit of fun back at them?
syd_barrett_saint Posted 4 September, 2014 Share Posted 4 September, 2014 It's all fun and games Syd, they stereotype us enough, can't we have a little bit of fun back at them? Fair enough Blakey, most of my American friends see past stereotypes though, so I tend to afford them the same courtesy.
angelman Posted 4 September, 2014 Share Posted 4 September, 2014 Another stunning piece of bullshït....http://www.soccersouls.com/2014/09/04/premier-league-transfers-manchster-united-hull-city-the-big-winners-arsenal-southampton-the-losers-of-transfer-deadline-day/....which easily out does Fox for being complete and utter bollyhocks. Losers Southampton If there was one club that badly needed a few more players before the window slammed shut, it was Southampton. Having lost five first-team regulars early in the window, the side desperately need more players. But the club have only signed four players on long-term deals, with the rest all consisting of loan deals. Deadline day saw the club add Atlético Madrid’s Toby Alderweireld on loan and Sadio Mané from Red Bull Salzburg. But the club are still short on defensive cover and the likes of Fraser Foster, Ryan Bertrand and Alderweireld will all leave next season, leaving the club short on players yet again. Seems that Saints supporters have left the feeling be known in the comments section.
simondo Posted 4 September, 2014 Share Posted 4 September, 2014 ha! the jouno's at Fox/NewsCorp are so ill informed, I am surprised they can find their way to the keyboard... The9 Posted 4 September, 2014 Share Posted 4 September, 2014 There is an error in the Fox report that it doesn't mention Rickie Lambert as a key player. A striker in the England squad for the World Cup and still in the latest England squad must qualify Rickie as a key player, but also, it was the sale of Lambert against stated club policy whilst there was no manager in place that kicked off the trouble. I don't recall a single Saints fan having a problem with it at the time.
