mynameisthehulk Posted 2 September, 2014 Share Posted 2 September, 2014 Anyone fancy any of this lot? http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/free-agents-the-best-players-still-available-to-sign-despite-the-transfer-window-being-closed-9707210.html
Saint_Abroad Posted 2 September, 2014 Share Posted 2 September, 2014 Hugo Almeida please. He would make us the best "haired" team that time has ever witnessed. The hair do's of our current lot coupled with that mustache. Can you imagine when we play manure and the balding Rooney running between that lot? He'd look like a lost pensioner that wondered onto a gay porn shoot.
DuncanRG Posted 2 September, 2014 Share Posted 2 September, 2014 Definitely not, but it wouldn't surprise me if QPR, Leicester and/or West Ham hoovered one or two of them up. Didn't Big Sam want Almeida? Jack Collison would be alright for someone.
Faz Posted 2 September, 2014 Share Posted 2 September, 2014 Jack Collison is a League One level player.

Dellman Posted 2 September, 2014 Share Posted 2 September, 2014 Thank goodness our days of sweeping up left-overs are gone, hopefully for ever. Remember Idiakez and that centre half 'Arry brought in and that fellow beginning with Q, Quish or something, thanks Markus and everyone else who has helped put that nightmare behind us

SNSUN Posted 2 September, 2014 Share Posted 2 September, 2014 None of those for us. Though as I mentioned on another thread, Victor Wanyama's brother McDonald Mariga is still unattached. Perhaps not for us, but has some pedigree and could do a job for another Premier League team.

Saintandy666 Posted 2 September, 2014 Share Posted 2 September, 2014 Apart from Ronaldinho I wouldn't have any of them. They're free agents for a reason. Ronaldinho could be fun for the publicity and cameo appearances, but it could be disrupting to the dressing room and he also probably just isn't good enough anymore. Ninis must be worth a punt - had great potential and still only 24.
ToreSF Posted 3 September, 2014 Share Posted 3 September, 2014 Tomasz Kuszczak or Tim Wiese should do as back up for Forster if Boruc goes.
Gorgiesaint Posted 3 September, 2014 Share Posted 3 September, 2014 Tomasz Kuszczak or Tim Wiese should do as back up for Forster if Boruc goes. Agree with you on Tim Wiese. For those after Frimpong, he's signed for a Russian Premier League team FC Ufa.
fish fingers Posted 3 September, 2014 Share Posted 3 September, 2014 Add Christian Bolanos to that list. Decent Costa Rican. Only him and Ninis i'd take a punt on.
a1ex2001 Posted 3 September, 2014 Share Posted 3 September, 2014 I remember when Frimpong was the future, and we should get him at all costs...... Saw him make his Barnsley debut against Sheffield Wednesday last season and get sent off early doors for two stupid tackles in between which he was worthless. Big time attitude for a small time player!

The9 Posted 3 September, 2014 Share Posted 3 September, 2014 Thank goodness our days of sweeping up left-overs are gone, hopefully for ever. Remember Idiakez and that centre half 'Arry brought in and that fellow beginning with Q, Quish or something, thanks Markus and everyone else who has helped put that nightmare behind us Nigel Quashie? We paid £2.1m for him from the Skates when he was out of contract 6 months later and they hadn't offered him a deal - almost the antithesis of "sweeping up left-overs". Presumably you mean Calum Davenport by "that centre half 'Arry brought in", he was a loan from Spurs and had a contract with them for another 2 seasons afterwards. Both January deals, neither were free agents.
The9 Posted 3 September, 2014 Share Posted 3 September, 2014 Wasn't Boruc a free agent? I hope so, or we might get retrospectively relegated for fielding an ineligible player for most of 2012/13 as he wasn't on our official squad list until after the January window even though we signed him in, and played him from, September. Pancake Posted 4 September, 2014 Share Posted 4 September, 2014 We have already submitted our squad for this period of the season. Boruc, when he signed, was a free agent and came in after we submitted the squad. I believe as long as we have space on there, we can fill it with free agents (if we want)
