The Farmer Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Finally found someone to look at my car re. fact hazards aren't working with the ignition off - they said the the Body Control module element for the hazards has fused over time while parked up (2+ years) - confusing as they go with ignition on. Question is, will a second hand module one from work? Silverlake have one for £30.00 but say this item, once removed from the vehicle, is non-refundable. Main dealer have said to order a new one in would be £600!!
The Farmer Posted 22 September, 2014 Author Posted 22 September, 2014 Update on this after the flurry of replies!! Found out the new BCM solves the Hazard light problem but created a worse one - car won't ignite now. Been told you need the original fixed as the car only recognises that one for ignition purposes - the solution is to re-install the old one and rewire the circuit to the hazards directly to the battery. Question is, do any of you know and auto-electrician that can do this on a call out?
