JxgrSaint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 @HLNinEngeland: Next Belgian transfer to be confirmed: Toby Alderweireld on loan to Southampton. #saintsfc
saint_ed Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 At what point do we start to panic that there's been no news or announcements. I'd like to set an alarm so I don't miss out. I'm guessing the Guan smiley warning system will be in operation prior to any official announcements too? Around 11pm.

Appy Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Winger - I would offer £15M for Nathan Dyer! On current form, 100%
beavis17 Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Sport Witness @Sport_Witness 56s Alexander Kacaniklic made a verbal agreement with Southampton yesterday. Fulham player now changed mind, going to FC Copenhagen instead.
S-Clarke Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Boro have signed Jelle Vossen. Wasn't he one of our 'most wanteds' a few years back?
cellone Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Winger - I would offer £15M for Nathan Dyer! Would be a steal.
saint_ed Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Sport Witness @Sport_Witness 56s Alexander Kacaniklic made a verbal agreement with Southampton yesterday. Fulham player now changed mind, going to FC Copenhagen instead. Translation: Southampton notified Kacaniklic that they won't be proceeding as they have agreed a first/second choice target. He is free to discuss terms with FC Copenhagen.
S-Clarke Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Sport Witness @Sport_Witness 56s Alexander Kacaniklic made a verbal agreement with Southampton yesterday. Fulham player now changed mind, going to FC Copenhagen instead. Probably more along the lines of us changing our mind, he was clearly just a fall back option for us. Looks to me as if it's 1 from Mane and Townsend now.
Heisenberg Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Hope we dont **** this up. Would be v.disappointed if we dont sign a winger today
Benali Saint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 BBC World Service reporter John Bennett: "It looks as though Hull City have failed in their attempts to sign Marseille and Ghana winger Andre Ayew. "Marseille accepted a bid but the French press are reporting that Ayew has turned down Steve Bruce's offer. There's still a good chance that Ayew will be Premier League player before the deadline. "QPR are said to be interested and for the first time this summer, I've seen Aston Villa being linked with his signature. Ayew is the son of former African footballer of the year Abedi Pele."
Chez Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Winger - I would offer £15M for Nathan Dyer! personally I'd prefer a player that can kick a ball further than I trust him.
Lighthouse Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 What a bunch of helmets on SSN. On the upside, I'm liking the new wooden fencing around the ground.
iansums Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 What a bunch of helmets on SSN. On the upside, I'm liking the new wooden fencing around the ground. We clearly have the best fencing in the Premier League.
Heisenberg Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Jake Sinclair to Hibs on loan confirmed on SSN
saint_ed Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Jake Sinclair going on loan to a Scottish team (didnt catch who) SSN EDIT Hibs. Thanks Heisenberg
sfc1976 Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 More of a brunette man usually, but Haley McQueen is just so 'ripe' and full that I would certainly doth my cap.
S-Clarke Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 It's quite impressive how Sky spend so much time not actually reporting on anything. We're looking at a picture of Bart Simpson and AVB at the moment.
Saint Charlie Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Talksport just made a big thing of saying Spurs are trying to get Rodriguez today.
S-Clarke Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Talksport just made a big thing of saying Spurs are trying to get Rodriguez today. Did they have Sam Wallace on the phone? He seems to be the only one trying to push his own story, quite obviously nothing in it what so ever.
doddisalegend Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Talksport just made a big thing of saying Spurs are trying to get Rodriguez today. Seriously how would we feel if the club spent 14 million on an injured player, who isn't guarnteed to ever re-capture his pre-injury form and might not be match fit for months?
sadoldgit Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 More of a brunette man usually, but Haley McQueen is just so 'ripe' and full that I would certainly doth my cap. Is that ripe or plump?

Jay is fine. Not injured any more, just going through a pre-season and strength building process. Should be back October time.
doddisalegend Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 "QPR and Liverpool are 'in discussions' over possible transfer for Fabio Borini." That will get Poyet throwing his toys out the Pram.
Saint Charlie Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 European expert on talksport bigging up Mane. Says he was brilliant in the Europa League last season and would be a great signing for Saints.
Matthew Le God Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 More of a brunette man usually, but Haley McQueen is just so 'ripe' and full that I would certainly doth my cap. She really is a terrible presenter, she struggles to read an auto-cue and knows little about football.
mulletsaint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Jay is fine. Not injured any more, just going through a pre-season and strength building process. Should be back October time. For someone with little previous ITK credentials you seem to be consistently certain of this. Did I miss something? What I would say is that these sort of injuries can just go again, even when the experts think it's healed.
Chalkboy Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Talksport just made a big thing of saying Spurs are trying to get Rodriguez today. The same bloke on TSport- Warren Hawton or something - 5 minutes earlier linked Towsend/Morgan swap. In my listening experience he seems to know very little about us, he has a slot to fill so fills it with all sorts of crap.......hopefully in this case.
S-Clarke Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 She really is a terrible presenter, she struggles to read an auto-cue and knows little about football. I don't care about her presenting skills.

Barring in recurrences/tweaks/knocks, they are looking to have him available for full training late October/early November.
ratio_decidendi Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 I don't care about her presenting skills. You stay classy, SaintsWeb.
Appy Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 She really is a terrible presenter, she struggles to read an auto-cue and knows little about football. She knows a great deal about football actually, blimey you're very bitter.
sadoldgit Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 (edited) It dosnt matter as long as they are totty. Doesnt matter what a bloke looks like but if he is a good sports presenter he will get a job. Ever seen an ugly woman sports presenter? Well apart from Claire Balding of course. Edited 1 September, 2014 by sadoldgit
Gemmel Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Jay is fine. Not injured any more, just going through a pre-season and strength building process. Should be back October time. Just not even remotely possible - It will take a lot longer to build the ligament.
Gemmel Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Never really ITK, but ITK on this one. Barring in recurrences/tweaks/knocks, they are looking to have him available for full training late October/early November. So he is still injured then

Lighthouse Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 It's all about Natalie Sawyer as far as I'm concerned.
Hamilton Saint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 From BBC Football site: "15:31 I've just seen someone tweeted Southampton after they confirmed Saphir Taider's departure asking what they should do with their away shirt, having got Taider's name printed on it. The club have kindly offered to replace it, but seems an odd thing to get your shirt, given he'd only been at the club for three weeks..."
Matthew Le God Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 (edited) She knows a great deal about football actually, blimey you're very bitter. Perhaps offscreen, but it doesn't come across when she is presenting or interviewing people. She asks daft questions and doesn't seem aware of a wide range of things to do with the sport. Don't you agree that she makes constant mistakes in her delivery? She really does struggle to read auto-cues, its just mistake after mistake. Surely the ability to read an auto-cue is a key skill in presenting on SSN that most of the other presenters manage to do fine. Edited 1 September, 2014 by Matthew Le God
sadoldgit Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Hazel Irvine the snooker women Not fit but I wouldnt say she was a munter.

hans gruber Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Jay is fine. Not injured any more, just going through a pre-season and strength building process. Should be back October time. Wtf? Unless jay is superhuman he will not be seen on a pitch until 2015. Even then there is no guarantee as to his ability to be able ever regain any movement abilities he had pre injury. It's sad I know but a fact. Assuming he remains a saints player this season, my first concern is that jay is able to actually get on the pitch this season and complete a full game. There is zero chance of him recapturing pre injury form/ fitness/movement befor next season. Acl is about the ugliest injury you could do

Bit rich to start picking on others faults. You clearly think women have no place in football. Horrible attitude MLG!!
