Jimmy_D Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Has it? Regardless, would be a strange move on a number of levels and disappointing all told, Ramirez can definitely ofer us something different - he won't be guaranteed a start at Hull anyway. No, it hasn't been officially confirmed yet, either on the OS or Official Twitter. Sky Sources claiming it's complete though.
S-Clarke Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 We shouldn't be loaning £15m players to teams competing for similar positions. Not happy He's not a £15m player. He's a squad player who would command £4m tops.
TwoPints Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 I think you're right. Gaston and Jos go Sadio Mane Aldeweireld Redmond That wouldn't be bad business. I didn't think we'd get three today but thinking about it, maybe Joe was part of a deal for Redmond!? Probably not though!
Winchester Red Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Mentioned by Hull Fans on twitter is £3m loan fee and full wages Not a bad fee for a player that gives us 500 minutes a year
The9 Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Just for the record, Peach is saying on Twitter that Gaston isn't happening, and the only "Saints confirm" came from the SSN reporter outside Staplewood...
Batman Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 He's not a £15m player. He's a squad player who would command £4m tops. If Shane long goes for £12m for a move within the prem Then gaston is miles more than a £4m player Jesus mate
The Cat Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Mentioned by Hull Fans on twitter is £3m loan fee and full wages Not a bad fee for a player that gives us 500 minutes a year That's a fair whack for a season loan.
S-Clarke Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 If Shane long goes for £12m for a move within the prem Then gaston is miles more than a £4m player Jesus mate Sevilla were only prepared to buy him for £4m
Batman Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Sevilla were only prepared to buy him for £4m So?
SNSUN Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Club is being quiet. Keeping their cards close to their chest? Perhaps why SSN hasn't shown much of us all day...
Colinjb Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Mentioned by Hull Fans on twitter is £3m loan fee and full wages Not a bad fee for a player that gives us 500 minutes a year Quite acceptable. Still ours to sell at the end of it too.
JoeShmoe Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Spuds fans in complete meltdown on their forums , love it
The Cat Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Just for the record, Peach is saying on Twitter that Gaston isn't happening, and the only "Saints confirm" came from the SSN reporter outside Staplewood... Sky making stuff up to keep people watching just wouldn't happen. Nope, not at all.
Saint Charlie Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Club is being quiet. Keeping their cards close to their chest? Perhaps why SSN hasn't shown much of us all day... More likely because nobody else is interested.
Saint_Jonny Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 If Shane long goes for £12m for a move within the prem Then gaston is miles more than a £4m player Jesus mate On what evidence? The bloke has dine **** all in 2 years. Injured most of the time and makes one good pass in 20, has a temper and doesn't defend. Oh and he has no pace. Happy for him to prove me wrong, can't see it though. Him and Osvaldo were totally rubbish buys.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 If Shane long goes for £12m for a move within the prem Then gaston is miles more than a £4m player Jesus mate This Especially when the fact he is a Uruguayan International and his age/potential is considered too!
niceandfriendly Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Please please don't let Gaston go. Would be madness. Changes games form the bench, has real quality and extremely creative. Mustn't be allowed to happen!
Sour Mash Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Just for the record, Peach is saying on Twitter that Gaston isn't happening, and the only "Saints confirm" came from the SSN reporter outside Staplewood... Is Peach saying it "isn't" happening or "hasn't" happened yet? SSN can be a bit hit and miss, but it'd still be pretty odd for them to make that up or interpret too far off the truth.
VectisSaint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Sky making stuff up to keep people watching just wouldn't happen. Nope, not at all. No but as Southampton have confirmed it perhaps it might be true.
Saint Pete Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 No big fan of Ramirez for us, but seems a strange one given Koeman comments the other day. Would have liked to have seen if Koeman could get more out of him - maybe, at least given it til January.
Colinjb Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Spuds fans in complete meltdown on their forums , love it Ooooooo, link please.
simondo Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Be honest - GR has been a disappointment. If his wage comes off the bill to sign Mane.... That's okay by me...
Wade Garrett Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Have Sky opened a book on it? Unscrupulous tossers.
Jimmy_D Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 No but as Southampton have confirmed it perhaps it might be true. They haven't?
Heisenberg Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Sevilla were only prepared to buy him for £4m People get carried away about Gaston as he was supposed to be brilliant. Came here with big hype n big money, but done nothing If mr consistant jack cork is being talked about at 4-7m then Ramirez is worth £3-4m max The fact that he doesnt get in our team and is unlikely to get in Hulls team much says all we need to know
niceandfriendly Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Sevilla were only prepared to buy him for £4m Just because I'm only prepared to pay £2000 for a Jag XK doesn't mean that's all it's worth.
Sour Mash Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Mentioned by Hull Fans on twitter is £3m loan fee and full wages Not a bad fee for a player that gives us 500 minutes a year Link? Reliable source?
mulletsaint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 No but as Southampton have confirmed it perhaps it might be true. No public confirmation through official sources as yet.
saintnicoolas Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 12 million for Long - 3 million for Gaston on season loan = 9 million….still to much for Long
K,Billy's supersound Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 gaston is at our training ground so..?
angelman Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 This Especially when the fact he is a Uruguayan International and his age/potential is considered too! Long is an Irish international? And really, what did Ramirez do in the WC apart from try and defend Dracula after he took a chunk out of that Italian? Don't get me wrong, there is nothing more than I would like for him to stay and make a real impact. But he hasn't over the past 2 years. We all know he has talent, but I think we can also agree that he might not be suited to PL.
pimpin4rizeal Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 If Shane long goes for £12m for a move within the prem Then gaston is miles more than a £4m player Jesus mate I always though gaston had much better attributes then jay rod, better dribbler better shot more vision better at picking a pass, ill be pretty fumed if we let him go think hes quality waiting to happen
Colinjb Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 gaston is at our training ground so..? Curious.
The9 Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 (edited) Is Peach saying it "isn't" happening or "hasn't" happened yet? SSN can be a bit hit and miss, but it'd still be pretty odd for them to make that up or interpret too far off the truth. I'm passing on what a dodgy source of mine said he said on Twitter, seems too stupid to make up. Edit: Just checked Twitter: SP said "not a Hull player yet contrary to reports, nothing sorted". 29 mins ago. Edited 1 September, 2014 by The9
mulletsaint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 gaston is at our training ground so..? I'd have to wonder what he's doing at the training ground at this time of night if something isn't going on. But then as someone else pointed out I know **** all about football.
S-Clarke Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 To be honest, if we had to lose one of Jay, Morgan or Gaston today, it would have been a pretty easy choice. The only odd thing about it is the club, don't like the rival aspect of it. But he's a player who gets better when he doesn't play, every pre-season it's a case of how important he can be for us...but again, his season is constantly fragmented with injuries. Good player, undoubtedly, but we've freed up a decent chunk of wages with this if it happens on a player who would only have been bit part here. Mane, Toby in. Jos and Gaston out. I think that's a hell of a lot better than most of us thought would happen 6 weeks ago.
TwoPints Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 gaston is at our training ground so..? Why would he be at the training ground at this time of night if he's not negotiating a deal with someone I wonder?
SNSUN Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Ramirez confirmed on SSN banner. Gone to Hull. With that, I'm off to bed. I can't stand anymore.
The9 Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 gaston is at our training ground so..? So he should be at home by now...
von Dwinger Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 I know Gaston has flattered to deceive but I would still love him at the club... I reckon he needs to be told he's starting at 10 and a gentle arm around him... ...unfortunately I just don't think that we can offer him that certainty of a starting spot.. especially with Mane coming in and hopefully JRod coming back at some point....
Bewildered Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 I'd have to wonder what he's doing at the training ground at this time of night if something isn't going on. But then as someone else pointed out I know **** all about football. "Please Boss, anywhere but Hull!"
Sour Mash Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 I'd have to wonder what he's doing at the training ground at this time of night if something isn't going on. But then as someone else pointed out I know **** all about football. I'd agree, that suggests he's leaving to me.
Greenridge Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 gaston is at our training ground so..? Part of Koeman's intensive training program that Taider didn't like?
Saint Charlie Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Gaston obviously going, been reported in quite a number of places now. Probably at Staplewood to sign the contracts etc. Sounds strange but he would he so much better if he didnt play Intl football. Or was European.
beatlesaint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Why would he be at the training ground at this time of night if he's not negotiating a deal with someone I wonder? perhaps he he is having treatment on an injury in order to pass a medical for Hull
The9 Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Part of Koeman's intensive training program that Taider didn't like? I heard late nights were a Taïder speciality?
Bewildered Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Simon Peach says Ramirez to Hull not done, but likely. Also says it is a loan with no buy option
