SNSUN Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 I would like us keep Ramirez and see what he can offer us. If nothing, then ship him out in January. But it seems silly to let him go before seeing what he can do in Koeman's set up. Hull? I find that hard to imagine. Thought they were after Ben Arfa anyway... Guidetti to Celtic?
S-Clarke Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Abel Hernandez, Snodgrass, Livermore, Dawson, Ince & Diame all good quality players. some more than others but sure they will all do a good job for them Nothing to suggest Hernandez will be any good, a very big gamble. Snodgrass is out for 12 months. Livermore is good, no doubting that, and Diame is a clever one too. Dawson is pretty crap these days and Ince is a bit hit and miss, didn't do anything for Palace last year.
DuncanRG Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 what good business have Hull done? Andy Robertson, Abel Hernandez, Jake Livermore permanently, Mo Diame, Tom Ince, Michael Dawson. Snodgrass was overpriced but not a bad player to have. Those are solid Premier League signings that give them a foundation to go forward on. And they got £12m for Shane Long...
Asaint4ever Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Gordon Simpson @gordonsimpson · 1m Hull are indeed interested in taking Gaston Ramirez on loan. Not definite it will happen though. #saintsfc
Chez Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Ramirez to Hull makes sense to me. Perfect countryman buddy for their new star striker to help ease him into life in the Uk and the prem. Not to mention Ramirez can open teams up and Hull need a little of that amongst their workman like side.

Have you seen Hernandez play, out of interest? Snodgrass will do well when fit. Dawson not as good as he once was, but he is a good leader on the pitch and should form a good partnership with James Chester in the defence, i think he will do well. Haven't seen enough of Ince to form an opinion but he seems highly rated. Think Hull have done well this window.
vonbonds Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Genius. 'Reports coming through that Everton have had their £14m bid for Brazilian playmaker Dildo accepted.' Pure genius comment!
edprice1984 Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 I am not panicking, get the feeling that Saints are sorting out the press announcements. Also now it appears that Ben Arfa is off to Hull

And I've seen what Parlmero fans say about him, and they're happy to get rid. put it that way.
BARCELONASAINT Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Gordon Simpson @gordonsimpson · 1m Hull are indeed interested in taking Gaston Ramirez on loan. Not definite it will happen though. #saintsfc I know i have a weird sense of humour but i find this so funny.....1. why on earth would Ramirez want to go to Hull....unless someone has told him its similar to London and he has no idea where it is.....2. Are Hull mad?...If he breaks a finger nail he is out for 2 weeks.....3. not a reason i know but....i like the guy and hope he doesnt go!
JxgrSaint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 @SimonPeach: Expecting a #SaintsFC announcement on Alderweireld soonish, with Mané deal confirmed later. Hooiveld likely to join #NCFC on loan for season
saint lard Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Spurs are back in for Jay.....£15.5m plus Townsend .....testing our resolve. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
SNSUN Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Newcastle looking to offload Ben Arfa, Hull want him. I think that has more legs than Ramirez to Hull. All quiet on the Morgan/JRod front too. (Touch wood...)
Greenridge Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Spurs are back in for Jay.....£15.5m plus Townsend .....testing our resolve. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk With Mane imminently on board doesn't that the negate the need for someone like Townsend?
St Chalet Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Spurs are back in for Jay.....£15.5m plus Townsend .....testing our resolve. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Or £14m without Townsend.

Dr Who? Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 I'm predicting one announcement at 9, the other at 10pm If I'm right- I'm ITK Right, I am counting on you! Bring it on!
Stu Man Do Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Spurs are back in for Jay.....£15.5m plus Townsend .....testing our resolve. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Would hope at that price and with the mane deal nearly done that we'd have enough sense to tell them to do one! I'd say no out of principal that it's spurs!
Asaint4ever Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Fourth Official @FourthOfficial_ · now Southampton have completed the signing of Toby Alderweireld on loan #SaintsFC
Beckenham Saint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Not seen him play, but his record isn't great. And I've seen what Parlmero fans say about him, and they're happy to get rid. put it that way. Always looked fairly decent whenever i've seen him for Uruguay, especially the Confed cup a few years back. Looks like a Uruguan Shane Long! Not an out and out striker - but drifts out to the wings and runs at defenders, which explains why his record isn't the best. Looks like a good runner, quite athletic and chases down a lot of balls that other strikers would leave. Out of interest, why and where have you seen what Palermo fans have been saying??
Roger Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Ramirez to Hull makes sense to me. Perfect countryman buddy for their new star striker to help ease him into life in the Uk and the prem. CB Fry Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 For once I am prepared to agree that Sky Sports News have an anti Saints agenda. I demand to see our dinlow fans jigging about and chanting FFS.

ART Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Celtic are in Scotland and therefore a loan deal for Van Dijk would be possible, n'est pas? This is a deal I really want to see.
Patrick Bateman Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 For once I am prepared to agree that Sky Sports News have an anti Saints agenda. I'm bored already.

igsey Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Bloody hell, Redknapp is predictable. Defoe and Kranjcar.

Saint Charlie Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Telegraph reporter saying Gaston definitely going to Hull on loan. Thats definitely better for them than us, although hard tonsee where he would start for us.
Sergei Gotsmanov Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Or £14m without Townsend. Why not wait until January when they will know if he is fit.
Greenridge Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 No sense to me. I'd be annoyed tbh. Koeman was saying he rated him last week. He also said the following: @solentsport: #saintsfc Koeman on reports linking Ramirez to Seville: "We need every player. Our squad's not big enough to think about loaning players".
beatlesaint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Bloody hell, Redknapp is predictable. Defoe and Kranjcar. he must get a bloody big brown paper bag from Kranjcar's agent the number of times he has signed him !!

LVSaint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Looks like they've cleared the spazmos away from the SSN reporters now and installed security instead. No fun...
mulletsaint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Celtic are in Scotland and therefore a loan deal for Van Dijk would be possible, n'est pas? This is a deal I really want to see. Surely with Gardos and Alderweireld (if complete) this window, it's unlikely we'll get another CB in?
mulletsaint Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 BBC claiming Arsenal have agreed £16m for Welbeck. I know there are a lot of haters on here but for me that's good business compared to Long.

A good deal for Arsenal nonetheless, and good to see spurs being snubbed.
S-Clarke Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Sky not even entertaining Ramirez. All about Ben Arfa
Saint Charlie Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 SSN guy at Hull saying nothing about Ramirez. Surely they don't need him and Ben Arfa? Tidy little squad they are building though.
Patrick Bateman Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 BBC claiming Arsenal have agreed £16m for Welbeck. I know there are a lot of haters on here but for me that's good business compared to Long. Jesus Christ. Well it might be to some people's views, but why would Welbeck have joined Saints? He probably wouldn't have. Exactly the same as Hernandez who has ended up at an infinitely bigger club!!
K,Billy's supersound Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Any updates K Billy or Guan? Last i was told both medicals were fine just paperwork to be completed. Relax.
