redkeith Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Great performance all round. Can't remember a 2 half like that away from home. Everyone put in a shift but Morgan was superb.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 First league win on the board - great performance!
View From The Top Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Utterly, utterly brilliant 2nd half. Utterly brilliant.
Asaint4ever Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 gonna watch motd for the 1st time this season
Wrensup Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 I see what you did there... Real good result today!
Colbury Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Shock, Pelle when given decent service is good.
.comsaint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Get in!!! Great away win. If there's one team I can't stand it's West Ham and their mouthy fans. Have that you London muppets!
SuperSAINT Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 So, so pleased with that. Important for everyone we get off the mark - Even better to get off the mark at Upton Park as well COME ON SAINTS!!
sfc1976 Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Justice done after that awful offside decision. The way we came out for the second half was great to see, everyone fighting for the win from the off.
DG Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 First time we've come back from a losing position to win since our return to the prem? What a performance. Away - first time since Coventry 94 according to Sky.
Saint Rees Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Absolutely over the moon, cannot stand West Ham so hopefully that will shut them up! Such a good performance from everyone, but if I had to say one thing, can Koeman please start saying whatever he says at half time before the match! played well first half still, but sooo much better second half:D
Batman Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Huffed and puffed first half 2nd half again this season was excellent Totally dominant. Morgan should have my MoM vote but I say Pelle Today, he arrived as a premier league striker. Well done and a very dominant performance
RedArmy Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Isn't it nice having a manager that excels at making half time adjustments?
Aziz Yebda Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Going to boo Pelle against Newcastle. Bloke is a joke Good result thou
Plastic Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Was it Jol we got sacked last season? Fat Sam this time. Great game.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Koeman seems to know how to get the players sorted for the 2nd half of games. Great result and pleased for Morgan and Pelle. Should have been 1-4 really...robbed by a poor decision.
eelpie Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 A magnificent second half performance! Morgan is King - and our top scorer Morgan Le God!
JoeShmoe Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Superb Pelle was excellent, really good. As were Tadic, Clyne and Bertrand. Still not fully convinced by Yoshida, JWP and Long but Gaston and Cork are quality to bring off the bench - Gaston looked well up for it today Wet Sham were woeful, really really poor
naiser Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Pelle could have had two! Ramirez should play more after this match. Everyone did well, even Yoshida grew in stature over the game despite gifting the hammers an early lead!
hasper57saint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 MOM Morgan.Brilliant performance.Jack Cork MUST now be offered another contract. DELIGHTED!
Saint Charlie Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Class. Massive win against a thoroughly dislikable team. Good to see Pelle get on the scoresheet. Certainly that system with three central mids is the way to go away from home. Tadic a really class signing.
NewYorkSaint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Utterly dominant. So great to see. Almost everyone played well. Yoshida a couple of fantastic tackles. Davis on fire second half. Tadic, in addition to all his creative skills, is also wonderful at winning the ball. Really like Pelle. The variation in skills between him, Long, Tadic is really promising. Bertrand looks every bit as good as Luke Shaw. Clyne fantastic game. And as for Morgan... Give the club credit. It took balls to put a line in the sand and say no more. It has completely paid off.
SaintRobbie Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Phew. West Ham were poor and Big Sam's sacking has got to be worth a bet. But, we had a plan, and it was delivered! We must keep our best players this weekend and reinforce with a couple more to kick on, but .... so happy.
WealdSaint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 We have lift off! Came from behind after having a perfectly good goal disallowed at 1-1. Well done the boys.
Saint_Tony Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Great second half, delighted for Pelle especially. Did we come from behind to win a game under MP?
Wrensup Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 And we did it without even having Wanyama on the pitch!
austsaint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Great second half. The boy Pelle can really play can't he? Mighty games for Morgan, Tadic, both full backs and Davis. Someone said thats the first game Fat Sam has lost to Saints in 13 years. Cork and Gaston did their jobs - was a little surprising not to see Victor today. Fabulous result, no matter how poor W Ham were.
SaintBobby Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 So, so pleased. That has assuaged my fears no end. Delighted Pelle is coming good. And we absolutely must keep Morgan.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Great away day! Morgan perhaps MOTM but for me Pelle was awesome. Not only did he score but his link up play was superb. Date I say he played like Lambert today.
Saint Charlie Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Oh, Davis is so much better in that central role. Has to play there or not at all.
eurosaint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Great result, great 2nd half team unity and mostly good individual performances ! For me, Pelle pick of the bunch but only just ! Followed the match day thread, some real arseholes who had to eat their words LOL
Ohio Saint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 MOM is Morgan for me, not for two goals, but the quality of the first......Our goal from the corner? hell, that took me by surprise as much as it did WHam!
BigShadow Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Came out firing second half and West Ham were never in it thereafter. Great to see the confidence surging through the team in the latter stages. Congrats to Koeman and the boysh. Would have been a travesty if Pelle had not registered his first PL goal today.
Cascadia Saint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 What a great second half, Koeman definitely has the half time magic wand. And what depth we now have! (if we don't lose anyone before Monday) To be able to bring on the likes of Cork and Ramirez, and have Wanyama still on the bench gives me a warm fuzzy feeling I haven't had for a while... A cracking 3 points that, and so glad to see Schneiderlin delivering and Pelle scoring. (Perfectly good goal disallowed too.) COYS!!!

bpsaint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Massive result for us that, well and truly deserved though particularly after that second half. Good to see Pelle score with two decent finishes even though one didn't count, that goal at Millwall clearly did his confidence the world of good. Nice to see Koeman patrolling his technical area and rallying the troops today, was a bit lacking against West Brom I thought. good day all round!
dubai_phil Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 The fans don't believe it (especially some on here) and to be honest I don't think the players believe it. But Koeman does. We are STILL a bloody good team. When everyone starts to believe we will scare anyone to death. Totally owned BFS second half. Now to play like that for 90 minutes Long gives us the legs & energy then Gaston in the 2nd half gives us the guile. It's gonna take a long time for those wet sham fans to forget all those Ole's. #buzzing
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 (edited) Good stuff...more of same next match please Did not get to see more than the last 15 mins but look forward to motd Edited 30 August, 2014 by ALWAYS_SFC
WealdSaint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Also well done to Koeman and the rest of the coaches for some fantastic training ground routines
jayrivers Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 For me Clyne and Bertrand looked superb today! Both getting forward well but not leaving the defence exposed.
derry Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Looking at the replays Pelle headed in Morgan's shot which was missing the far post. He looks a good player in the box, something we have lacked in the past. Morgan was the best player on the field today, held everything together and got into the box. This looks like a very good Saints team.
DuncanRG Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Schneiderlin really turned it on after we conceded and Cork made things even smoother going through West Ham. Koeman was quick to react to problems today and all his changes paid off. God, were West Ham poor though.
Pamplemousse Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Great second half. We beat West Ham in the Championship when he was in charge back in 2011. Might be 13 years since the Premier League though
Ohio Saint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Also well done to Koeman and the rest of the coaches for some fantastic training ground routines Good point.
5string Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 What a good 2nd half! Whether he stays or goes, Morgan played like a real pro today - put the effort in for his CURRENT club. Hope he stays... Pelle put it right up the Hammers with a great performance. Tadic was slippery and in control, Cork came on and showed real class. Lots of other comments to make but no doubt someone will rate the team better than I can. Just really pleased with a fantastic performance and result.
simo Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Play like we did second half regularly and we'll win more games than we'll lose , the signs are good and I admit my bed was a little damp a few weeks ago!
