Bewildered Posted 26 August, 2014 Share Posted 26 August, 2014 Good second half performance, but for some bad luck we could have scored 4 or 5. Cork changed the game really, looked for a forward ball whenever possible and is so much quicker and more decisive in his play than Wanyama. Baird of the land Posted 26 August, 2014 Share Posted 26 August, 2014 Well here's hoping the 2nd half Saints are on display against W Ham. Delighted for Cork(Has to start at the weekend surely) and relieved Pelle is off the mark. Still not thrilled by Long and feel we need to spend on another attacking option of some description. Hoping we get a home tie in the next round.
The Kraken Posted 26 August, 2014 Share Posted 26 August, 2014 Banana skin averted, another chance for the team to play together, but perhaps another example of how far we've got to go to get anywhere near last season's fluidity. Damn goo see a strong line-up, and great to see Pelle get the reward he deserved. It will be a long road but this was a decent step (albeit against very limited opposition). rickylambert Posted 26 August, 2014 Share Posted 26 August, 2014 Good goals, unlucky it was only 2. Did find myself getting quite angry at Big Graz tho, was nothing short of rubbish for most part, but I'm sure that goal will really help him and (eventually) he'll come good. Happy for Corky to get his first goal, shame it came in a Capital One Cup second round game at Millwall on a Tuesday night, but they all count I guess.
