Liverpool fans actually want him to replace Johnson. Hope he doesn't get in, from a selfish point of view.

Even though the c**t Gerrard has retired, no doubt he will tap Clyne up.

Would love to see a Saints player in the England squad but they only play in friendlies, ex-Saints players make the competitions. He'll have to sort out a move.

Our players are now from Poland, Serbia, Belgium,Bulgaria, Japan, Senegal, France, Kenya and N. Ireland, so Roy won't be getting near them :)

Lets hope he continues to go under the radar somewhat and more importantly that we sign him up to a new contract or it will be him leaving next summer.

Agreed, absolute joke of a decision. Hodgson is clueless and is only still in a job due to the lack of reasonable alternatives.

Ridiculous he's not been called up yet, but I'm sure if Liverpool were to realise that Johson is shît and buy Clyne for £20m he'd be straight in the England starting lineup...

You'd hope that Liverpool realise now that Manquillo and Moreno are better options than Johnson, and that they won't come knocking for Clyne any time soon.

If any of the big clubs were to buy him he would literally be in the next squad, there are a dearth of good right-backs in England and Hodgson is still ignoring Clyne who has been excellent in the prem now for 2 years. This is one of the reasons why it is so difficult to hold onto our players, look how long it took Morgan to get a call up or even some of our England boys who were performing week in and week out. It's insane because our players are playing AGAINST better sides and impressing, surely that should recommend rather than hinder them?

He scored against them, on last season's precedent his head is currently headed up the A34.

Hodgson must have seen a lot of Clyne so can only assume he sees some weaknesses in his game (and lets face it, he does make errors). I really dont think it would make any difference if he played for England or not. Other Premiership managers know what players are capable of. If someone fancies him they will make a bid, England caps or no.

Personally I think he's been shunned since the debacle with the U21s where he was dropped after 1 game and his replacement was even worse than he was !
