Guly Interview

"He departed from far more radiant climates. Cesena, The Cavallucci Marini, simply the seahorses in English, had just gained Serie A status for the first time in 14 years. Guly walked away from the opportunity to play at some of the worlds most iconic stadiums, against some of the worlds best players, to play in the same team as Dan Seaborne and visit Hartlepool’s Victoria Park on bone chilling Tuesday nights."

I think he probably walked away from serie A like Billy Sharp walked away from the Premier League.

Well I dunno, he scored 10 goals that season, he was a good player for them.

Pity doing an interview that you didn't ask what he is doing now, has he a got a club lined up? Actually wish he was still available to us, even on a non-contract basis, we could still do with him on the bench to help shore us up in the last 10 minutes or so, and maybe as a striker he is CURRENTLY a better option than Pelle. Notice that he didn't mention any of the players that have left when he mentions who he misses. Good man, and seems odd at St Mary's without him being around.

Judging from his instagram feed, Guly seems to be more flâneur than footballer nowadays. I noticed that Fonte left a comment the other day about hoping that 'things work out for him soon'. Surprised he hasn't got a club sorted as he'd definitely offer something at Championship level (maybe even for a relegation threatened PL team) but aside from appearing in awful Brazilian rap videos, he just seems to be doing a lot of travelling and little training. If he doesn't find another club I wonder whether we'd have any sort of role for him available at Saints? The first-team squad obviously miss his presence, but then again, not too sure he would be decent coaching material like Jaidi. Anyone aware of his situation?
