FWIW, I think Labour is out of touch with its Northern voters; I doubt you'll see a better example of this than Gillian Duffy. Brown called her a bigoted woman, but I've seen a lot of Labour voters make the same noises about their concerns on immigration.

 

As a party member, I find the practice of parachuting preferred candidates in to be a betrayal of local talent and hard work.
