Bewildered Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 Total Dutch Football @TotalDutchFB 3m #SaintsFC striker Graziano Pelle is set to be named in the 30-man provisional #Italy squad to face #Oranje on 4th September (via @CorSport) Good news if it happens, hopefully it will give him a confidence boost.
shurlock Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 Good news Hope that c**t Osvaldo is nowhere near it.
SNSUN Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 One Italy international out, one in. Good business. Hope he bangs in one or more against WBA.
Turkish Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 Feyenoord fans must be furious that he never got a sniff of an international call up when he played for them but goes to a premier league club and he's straight in the Italy squad.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 Wonder how long until Pirlo has tapped him up
Lazlo78 Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 Wonder how long until Pirlo has tapped him up just had to be Pirlo, didn't it - Gypsy Gerrard and all that...

Lazlo78 Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 Probs how we will feel when Chambers eventually makes the England team... It'll be like watching your ex finally getting her breakthrough in porn a few weeks after she dumped you. I think we all know that feeling...

Can't speak for all the Feyenoord fans but I don't think so. We're not that interested in national teams, it's all about Feyenoord... We know that the Eredivisie is much lower rated than the PL but I don't believe that this is the reason that Pelle wasn't invited thus far. I guess it's because Italy doesn't have much central attackers beside that clown Balotelli as we could see in the WC in Brazil so why not try Pelle just to see if he really got better after some bad years in Italy?

Ah fair play then mate. You're a better lot than many of of our whinging saps who would be sulking and crying and going on about how the whole world hates us if our former 29 year old striker had not had a sniff of international football until one game after he left.
farawaysaint Posted 22 August, 2014 Posted 22 August, 2014 (edited) This could be a bad thing for us, I wonder how much of the transfer fee was pegged on a call up to the Italian national team? Edited 22 August, 2014 by farawaysaint
scotty Posted 22 August, 2014 Posted 22 August, 2014 This could be a bad thing for us, I wonder how much of the transfer fee was pegged on call up to the Italian national team? Careful. You'll have Pap working on a conspiracy theory.

Worth noting they have a new manager at the helm so probably, I would hope, more to do with it than his solitary appearance in the premier league.
Miltonaggro Posted 22 August, 2014 Posted 22 August, 2014 Good news, and a big F*ck off tablet for Oswaldo...

Lazlo78 Posted 22 August, 2014 Posted 22 August, 2014 ive spent the morning working on a list of all the things Pirlo and Gerrard have in common: 1) footballers Ahhh, you missed what was right in front of you. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?51470-Liverpool-post-match-chat-amp-MotM&p=2031412#post2031412 "Playing JWP in the hole allowed him to monitor Gerrard and his pîss poor pirlo parody." He is a Pirlo imitator! Not a very good one, mind you...

Aziz Yebda Posted 22 August, 2014 Posted 22 August, 2014 He didn't score 3 goals in 1 game. Therefore he is rubbish, until he proves me wrong and then he is the best player ever.

A hat trick would be nice.

Couldn't keep it down - perhaps should have done better with it. Edited 22 August, 2014 by shurlock
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 22 August, 2014 Posted 22 August, 2014 I'd like to see him show some of the form that's got him an international call up. All I've seen is a player who doesn't look anything special at all.
St Chalet Posted 22 August, 2014 Posted 22 August, 2014 Hang on, did our master tacticians on here say he had a sh*t game and think he isn't up to it? He needs a small quick fella alongside him IMHO
Patrick Bateman Posted 22 August, 2014 Posted 22 August, 2014 Get the f**k in, well done Pelle! Will be a very good player for us, I like his style (and his hair). Graziano, oooo Graziano, ooooo He comes from Italy He f***ing hat ............ No, don't do it.
