angelman Posted 5 February, 2015 Posted 5 February, 2015 Ah, because he has written something positive this weekend, he's OK. Actually, he's still a ****, but the second & third sentence I agree with.
Hamilton Saint Posted 6 February, 2015 Posted 6 February, 2015 I prefer it when he predicts we'll lose ... 'cause then we win.
Coxford_lou Posted 6 February, 2015 Posted 6 February, 2015 John's prediction: A lot of my friends are QPR fans and I would not like to see them miserable. 3-1 This guy's a better person than me. My response would have been: a lot of my friends are QPR fans so I'd like to see them get thrashed so I can mock them for the next week.
Redslo Posted 6 February, 2015 Posted 6 February, 2015 This guy's a better person than me. My response would have been: a lot of my friends are QPR fans so I'd like to see them get thrashed so I can mock them for the next week. Even so, why not predict QPR to win 2-1. His friends would be just as happy and he would be more likely to get the score right.
Bucks Saint Posted 20 February, 2015 Posted 20 February, 2015 Saints v Liverhampton: I am looking forward to this one, which should be a cracking game between two good sides. Since Liverpool's 3-0 defeat by Manchester United in December, in a game where they had enough chances to win comfortably themselves, things have really come together for them and their attack has enough pace to cause anyone problems. This is a real test for them, though, because I think Saints boss Ronald Koeman can use this game as a way of getting his side's focus back. They have been a little inconsistent recently. Part of that has been down to the goals drying up for Graziano Pelle, but they remain a very dangerous side. I fancy Saints to edge it, which would be a big boost to their hopes of making the top four and a big blow to Liverpool. Lawro's prediction: 2-1

John Boy Saint Posted 20 February, 2015 Posted 20 February, 2015 Better make sure I put on the lucky under crackers on Sunday morning!!!
Saint_Ash Posted 20 February, 2015 Posted 20 February, 2015 This will be one where he get's his 1 in ten right then.
rooney Posted 20 February, 2015 Posted 20 February, 2015 Never mind, Merson tipped us to loose and Rednapp to draw so one of them will be correct on Sunday evening.
Batman Posted 27 February, 2015 Posted 27 February, 2015 That clueless muppet lawro has us down for a 2-1 win this weekend Idiot
Redslo Posted 27 February, 2015 Posted 27 February, 2015 That clueless muppet lawro has us down for a 2-1 win this weekend Idiot Yah. Clearly, we will win 0-1.
whelk Posted 27 February, 2015 Posted 27 February, 2015 I think he cares just about his league table at the bottom of his predictions and so needs to correct. All these win predictions are now making it look more accurate.
THINWHITEDUKE Posted 20 March, 2015 Posted 20 March, 2015 Saints v Burnley 2-0 and the Eggheads 5-2, Lawro back on form?
Redslo Posted 20 March, 2015 Posted 20 March, 2015 I think he cares just about his league table at the bottom of his predictions and so needs to correct. All these win predictions are now making it look more accurate. Doing it that way would make his running point total less accurate though so maybe not.
Dark Munster Posted 20 March, 2015 Posted 20 March, 2015 Doing it that way would make his running point total less accurate though so maybe not. Maybe he's given up with that. The guests (who include jokers, puppets and clowns) are beating him.
Batman Posted 20 March, 2015 Posted 20 March, 2015 The moron has predicted a 2-0 saints win. What a clown
Dark Munster Posted 20 March, 2015 Posted 20 March, 2015 Agreed. Only a complete idiot would predict us to win 2-0.
Redslo Posted 20 March, 2015 Posted 20 March, 2015 Agreed. Only a complete idiot would predict us to win 2-0. I agree predicting anyone to win 2-0 in the premier league is a suboptimal prediction.
Dark Munster Posted 21 March, 2015 Posted 21 March, 2015 As I said, anyone predicting 2-0 is a genius.
Redslo Posted 23 March, 2015 Posted 23 March, 2015 As I said, anyone predicting 2-0 is a genius. It worked out this time, but I stand by my suboptimal prediction statement. Most games are drawn or won by a single goal.
Dark Munster Posted 3 April, 2015 Posted 3 April, 2015 http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32146827 1-1. He even has the nerve to say whatever happens between now and the end of the season, we've been one of the success stories of this campaign. Cheeky bastard.
John Boy Saint Posted 3 April, 2015 Posted 3 April, 2015 I liked both his little sidebar in the QPR game, and the Burnley preview.
Miltonaggro Posted 3 April, 2015 Posted 3 April, 2015 http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32146827 1-1. He even has the nerve to say whatever happens between now and the end of the season, we've been one of the success stories of this campaign. Cheeky bastard. He's bang on the money, providing we finish above Liverpool and Spurs!
Hamilton Saint Posted 3 April, 2015 Posted 3 April, 2015 It worked out this time, but I stand by my suboptimal prediction statement. Most games are drawn or won by a single goal. How can a game be drawn by a single goal?
Redslo Posted 3 April, 2015 Posted 3 April, 2015 How can a game be drawn by a single goal? Well, I could have meant a 1-1 draw, but clearly the "by a single goal" element of the sentence modified only the word "won". Oh wait. This was a joking rhetorical question. Never mind.

I wasn't joking or being rhetorical; I was pointing out an error - which you have identified yourself in the part of your response that I have highlighted. Precision in language is important!
Dark Munster Posted 3 April, 2015 Posted 3 April, 2015 Most games are drawn, or won by a single goal. Commas should never be underestimated.
Batman Posted 10 April, 2015 Posted 10 April, 2015 the clueless muppet has us down for another win what does he know, ffs
rooney Posted 10 April, 2015 Posted 10 April, 2015 So has the Merse and suprisingly Ed Chamberlin has us down for a draw. He will get a ribbing as M of C at the Awards dinner.
Dark Munster Posted 17 April, 2015 Posted 17 April, 2015 http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32276357 Stoke v Southampton Southampton are ticking along quite nicely, just one point behind Liverpool. They will go above them with a draw or a win because the Reds have got their FA Cup semi-final this weekend. Koeman's Southampton side are sixth, five points behind Manchester City I've heard a lot about how Liverpool are the team hoping to nick fourth place if Manchester City's slump continues but Southampton should not be discounted in that race. If Saints can find the sort of form to finish the season they showed at the start of it, then they have got a chance - and it is a massive carrot for them. A win at the Britannia Stadium is never easy but Stoke have a few injury problems to deal with - Victor Moses is their latest player to be sidelined - and I am backing Southampton. Lawro's prediction: 1-2
Bearsy Posted 17 April, 2015 Posted 17 April, 2015 It's Swansea he seems to have beef with this season, he's only predicted them 23pts which would put them bottom. He is v.angar with swansea for some reason. It's like when we appointed Ponch and he predicted us 14 straight defeats. He can be v.mean if you upset him

Dark Munster Posted 17 April, 2015 Posted 17 April, 2015 (edited) You should thank me. If it were not for me you would have made the exact same prediction.I think Lawro is stalking me for correct scores. I predicted 2-0 for the Burnley and Hull matches, and the old bastard copied me in both cases then also. If he keeps this up I may have to contact a lawyer. Edited 17 April, 2015 by Dark Munster
Lets B Avenue Posted 24 April, 2015 Posted 24 April, 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32411598 Oh feck!
trousers Posted 24 April, 2015 Posted 24 April, 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32411598 Oh feck! Tottenham had a good win at Newcastle on Sunday but the Magpies are everyone's favourite team to play at the moment so you cannot read too much into that.Southampton lost to Stoke last time out and it seems chances and goals are still hard to come by for them. But Mauricio Pochettino is back at St Mary's for the first time since leaving Saints for Spurs last summer. His new team are a point and a place above his old one and I think the return of their former manager will get the crowd going. There should be a great atmosphere, and I fancy a home win. Lawro's prediction: 2-1 Time to stick a monkey on a Spurs win then....
simo Posted 24 April, 2015 Posted 24 April, 2015 Actually a pretty hard game to call. Not if you look at the bookies odds
rooney Posted 24 April, 2015 Posted 24 April, 2015 Rednapp and Merson agree with Lawro too as do the bookies.
angelman Posted 24 April, 2015 Posted 24 April, 2015 Not if you look at the bookies odds That surprises me a bit. Looking at William Hill Saints 11/10 Draw 21/10 Spuds 11/4
Dark Munster Posted 24 April, 2015 Posted 24 April, 2015 Doesn't Lawro (and the bookies) know that Big Vic is out, Toby is touch and go, Nathan's head is in Manchester, Pelle currently couldn't score in a brothel, and we've got calamity Kelvin in goal?
Dark Munster Posted 1 May, 2015 Posted 1 May, 2015 1-1 http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32523309 [insert Lawro abuse here]
Saint_Tony Posted 1 May, 2015 Posted 1 May, 2015 1-1 http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32523309 [insert Lawro abuse here] He's been tipping us to win for the last three or four weeks so it's time for him to stop. On a serious note I'll be raging even if we draw this one. I'm sure a few will react with the usual 'what a season we are having, points record' etc, but the fact is Sunderland are an awful side.
simo Posted 1 May, 2015 Posted 1 May, 2015 That surprises me a bit. Looking at William Hill Saints 11/10 Draw 21/10 Spuds 11/4 Was a lot better than that on 365
VectisSaint Posted 22 May, 2015 Posted 22 May, 2015 Lawro reckons we still have a slim chance of Europa League depending on how Liverpool and Spuds do, and predicts we will lose 2-0. At least some drum and bass guys (why don't these people get some other people to help out and form a proper band) think we will win 3-1. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32776216
stockbridge_saint Posted 22 May, 2015 Posted 22 May, 2015 Slim chance? How can pundits still be getting this wrong - we're in it unless Villa beat Arsenal
