He's a winger primarily, lots of pace, lots of skill and tricks. Saw him once as I have a friend who is a BHA fan, he's a moron too;)

 

But a very talented player, bums on the edge of seats kind of player. Will be a very promising English addition. Better option and more potential than Redmond I feel.

 

Don't expect him to be a regular this year, but he's got all the attributes to be a damn fine England player.

The latest player to be spotlighted is Brighton starletSolly March.

[h=4]The scout reports...[/h]We check on a player attracting a lot of attention in the Championship, Solly March has recently broken into the first-team picture at Brighton - and is impressing a lot of on-lookers.

March began at his local club Lewes, and quickly progressed through youth ranks before making his first-team debut by the time he was 17.

But he was quickly attracting attention from a host of Premier League and Championship clubs.

Arsenal, Newcastle, Sunderland and West Ham were all keen on taking March, but it was his Brighton who won the day - the club his father Steve played for as an apprentice.

March penned a three-year deal with Brighton in late 2011. It took March just over 12 months to really find his feet at the AMEX, as he was then pushing for a place in the first team.

Early in 2013, March was included in a number of squads and made the bench for Brighton - but did not feature.

The following season saw him heavily involved pre-season and it has been little surprise that Oscar Garcia has recognised his talent and has brought him into his first-team squad.

And perhaps the teenager is fortunate to be working under such a progressive coach as Spaniard Garcia - given that March's game is certainly leading from the technical aspect.

Standing at over 6ft, March is a truly elegant performer - often played on the wing, but looks perfectly suited to a number '10' role, pulling the strings behind the front-man.

Comfortable on the ball, and with both feet - March has the skill set that you can't really teach but is natural. However, he has shown playing out wide that he is willing to fit into a system.

He has an eye for a pass too and learning when to play it is clearly something Garcia is working on, but he is clearly quickly emerging as a fine young player.

[h=4]The scout says...[/h]Clearly has a wonderful future ahead of him and he appears to be in the perfect place at the moment.

However, with talent like this it is hard to hide from the Premier League scouts and Brighton will have to work hard to keep hold of this prospect.

Probably been mentioned here somewhere but...

 

Didn't know anything about him, so looked on wikipedia and "Solomon Benjamin "Solly" March (born 20 July 1994) is an English professional football midfielder who plays for Premier League club Southampton FC."

Has any one credible actually said this is happening? It all just seems unlikely rumours at the moment.

 

Ah, but you should know by now that rumour=fact here! Trust me, believe nothing until someones arrival or departure is officially announced.

I've seen him a few times at the Amex for Brighton and he is a promising player who could be an interesting option off the bench but IMO he would be much better off staying at Brighton for now and starting most weeks.

 

Likes cutting in from the right onto his left foot and is quite pacy.

Koeman didn't take him before due to his inexperience. Sounds familiar.

 

Not like the good old days when Pochettino blooded one whole player, is it? And Pochettino was so awfully brave to select young players like Lallana and Morgan, who up to that point had been languishing in the first team having been first choice selections for only the previous four managers of the club.

You really continue to demonstrate your ****ishness. Can't deal with anything thats remotely critical of the current set up, even when the facts are demonstrably true. Just continue to believe everything in the garden is rosy.
