Lighthouse Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Their reserves vs our reserves, should be a cracker. We have reserves?
stevegrant Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 ***MLG MODE*** 1 in 98. 49 teams that we could play then 50/50 that it's at fratton. ***END MLG MODE*** Nope, seeded draw, only 25 potential opponents
LGTL Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Easy one on the train. Not great as wanted a new ground but better then a home tie.
edprice1984 Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Guaranteed Bradford v Leeds and MK Dons v Man Utd on Television - depending on how we start can see them picking our game too
St Chalet Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Went a few years ago to Millwall. We won 4-0 and I got to see one of the few ever games played by Marcelo Sarimento.
Saint Charlie Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Gotta take this seriously I think Sure we will do same as normal with at least 8 or 9 changes from league team.
Clapham Saint Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Nope, seeded draw, only 25 potential opponents Ah, sh**. Serves me right for being a smart arse.
Sour Mash Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Easy one on the train. Not great as wanted a new ground but better then a home tie. Yeah, easy to get to, cheap tickets I'd imagine, could be worse. Decent test, tough enough game to get through.
Baird of the land Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 It'll require quite some effort for our weakened side to win there this season. Hoping we get through a few games and get some experience for youngsters and game time for squad players.
Batman Posted 13 August, 2014 Author Posted 13 August, 2014 Will be a tough game. Holloway has got them playing some decent stuff. Depends how seriously each side takes this game.
DuncanRG Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Bradford City v Leeds United That'll be fun, my old Bradford-supporting housemate hates Leeds
Hatch Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 ex-saints at Millwall Ricardo Fuller Scott MacDonald Richard Chaplow
Sour Mash Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 That'll be fun, my old Bradford-supporting housemate hates Leeds All Bradford fans properly hate Leeds. That's a big game, would fancy Bradford for an 'upset' there.
Sour Mash Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Sure we will do same as normal with at least 8 or 9 changes from league team. Sort of possible for us to take it seriously and rest a few players. The way this summer has panned out, it's an ideal chance to do a competitive "pre-season" have a tough enough fixture to bed in new signings etc.
SaintRobbie Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Good run out for the youngsters. Worth the risk, we can have a crack at the FA Cup, this is less important in a survival season.
Viking Saint Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Perfect, three stops down the train line from me.....happy days!!!
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Definitely hope to get to this one. Your first two words clash a bit
Sour Mash Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Your first two words clash a bit No they don't.
kpturner Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Milwall away in the championship season was one of my best ever away games. 2 late pens from Lambert sealing a 3-2 win that went a long way to getting us promotion. And to the bedwetters saying it's not safe..... This is probabaly one of the safest away games you're ever likely to attend. Away fans get their own station and you dont go anywhere near any home fans It's the station before that's not safe (both in and out)
Sour Mash Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 It's the station before that's not safe (both in and out) London Bridge?
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Pleased with that- closest ground to me.
SarniaSaint Posted 14 August, 2014 Posted 14 August, 2014 Millwall 4 Kat and Les 0 Hey just done the prediction
Chez Posted 14 August, 2014 Posted 14 August, 2014 Milwall away in the championship season was one of my best ever away games. 2 late pens from Lambert sealing a 3-2 win that went a long way to getting us promotion. amazing end to that game. Saints never do that (Fulham away apart). I think that win made me think we'd get promotion. We just seemed to have the knack. Also enjoyed the FA Cup replay there (it it really 10 years ago? Brilliant atmosphere.
COMEONYOUREDS Posted 14 August, 2014 Posted 14 August, 2014 Easy one on the train Worth bearing in mind for anyone thiinking of getting the train, there are no Southern services in/out of London Bridge that whole week so you're going to have to find another route
Sour Mash Posted 14 August, 2014 Posted 14 August, 2014 Worth bearing in mind for anyone thiinking of getting the train, there are no Southern services in/out of London Bridge that whole week so you're going to have to find another route True, but still easy enough by train, changing at Clapham Juncton.
stevegrant Posted 14 August, 2014 Posted 14 August, 2014 Worth bearing in mind for anyone thiinking of getting the train, there are no Southern services in/out of London Bridge that whole week so you're going to have to find another route Oh ****, forgot about that. Trains from the other direction via South Bermondsey will still be running, with South Bermondsey being the terminating station. That actually means it should (in theory) be easier to get away after the game, but you'll have to go the long way round.

Also means the drinking by Borough might not be on.
COMEONYOUREDS Posted 14 August, 2014 Posted 14 August, 2014 True, but still easy enough by train, changing at Clapham Juncton. true. but not everyone lives in southampton
Sour Mash Posted 14 August, 2014 Posted 14 August, 2014 Damn that's actually pretty annoying as i'll be coming from liverpool st! Also means the drinking by Borough might not be on. Still enough other ways around it. Wouldn't even be that much a few in a cab straight to the ground from Borough.
ericb Posted 14 August, 2014 Posted 14 August, 2014 Still enough other ways around it. Wouldn't even be that much a few in a cab straight to the ground from Borough. Good point that, being london you can use Uber too and save yourself a fair bit
Hatch Posted 20 August, 2014 Posted 20 August, 2014 any tickets left for this one, are they going on general sale ?
farawaysaint Posted 20 August, 2014 Posted 20 August, 2014 Gotta take this seriously I think Koeman has won a cup everywhere he's been I'd imagine cups are a close second to staying up in his priority list.
Batman Posted 20 August, 2014 Author Posted 20 August, 2014 after all the fuss of last season and the cups what a let down it would be if we field a largely changed side and get knocked out
Sydenhampton Posted 20 August, 2014 Posted 20 August, 2014 Perfect, three stops down the train line from me.....happy days!!! Four stops for me, can't say I'm particularly grumbling about that draw either! I'll be going.
Saint Charlie Posted 20 August, 2014 Posted 20 August, 2014 after all the fuss of last season and the cups what a let down it would be if we field a largely changed side and get knocked out We will almost certainly field a changed side - every team does. To a certain extent you can understand why, as otherwise whats the point of the squad. If they never play then when called upon how cna anyone expect them to be sharp? We will probably rest 7 or 8 players, but still will have a strong side.
SFCRedandWhite Posted 20 August, 2014 Posted 20 August, 2014 any tickets left for this one, are they going on general sale ? There will be plenty left. General sale tomorrow, expecting to still be able to buy on the night too.

To a certain extent you can understand why, as otherwise whats the point of the squad. If they never play then when called upon how cna anyone expect them to be sharp? We will probably rest 7 or 8 players, but still will have a strong side. At least we don't have to worry about Sharp being sharp anymore.
Beckenham Saint Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 Just booked tickets for this one (and West Ham) - last time I was at the Den we tonked them 4-0! Hoping for a repeat performance!!
acton_saint Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 Looking to book tickets, but only one per customer. Presume it's a sit-anywhere job, so can still meet up with mates, despite booking tickets separately?
Batman Posted 21 August, 2014 Author Posted 21 August, 2014 anyone know if it is pay on the gate, as will go after work if that is so
SFCRedandWhite Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 Looking to book tickets, but only one per customer. Presume it's a sit-anywhere job, so can still meet up with mates, despite booking tickets separately? There will be probably be a lot of empty seats regardless
Sour Mash Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 Looking to book tickets, but only one per customer. Presume it's a sit-anywhere job, so can still meet up with mates, despite booking tickets separately? Just link your account to your mates, then buy in one go.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 Just link your account to your mates, then buy in one go. This is what I did this morning. Looking forward to my first away trip of the season.
doddisalegend Posted 21 August, 2014 Posted 21 August, 2014 Sure we will do same as normal with at least 8 or 9 changes from league team. Normally I'd agree but this early in the season it might pay to give our strongest 11 a run out. ots of new players in the squad who would probably benefit from extra match time together to help the mystical gelling process.
