So, for a start, the media reporting that he's been having medicals over the past few days have been talking balls, and secondly, it doesn't sound too promising for an imminent signing.

Due to his condition maybe he did indeed leave Southampton on Sunday and is having medicals at Specialised clinics elsewhere. Had her returned to Romania their media would have known.

Steaua's manager gathered the players and staff today for a diner or something and guess who showed up, to everybody's surprise, media included?

 

When questioned, his kinda-****ed-off reply was "I am here, aren't I?"

 

He definitely wants to come to EPL, dunno who's to blame for all the stalling but, from my experience Steaua has a weird way of selling players (happened in Chiriches' case too)

 

Will keep you guys posted with what goes on in the Romanian media after some filtering, of course... We got our own Daily Mail, CaughtOffside aso...

We should have had a class CB lined up even if Lovren stayed. So frustrated, CB was our weak point along with GK last year and cost us many points. GK has been addressed but we really need bodies in defence (anything but Maya or Jos for me).

Sounds like a criticism of Les Reed and the board Saint Charlie that's a nono so I have been told by others

Lovren should've been a Saint on Sunday and we should have let him go once we had a replacement. We sold him too early, but it's hard to understand the full story and we need to trust Koeman on this.

I can't get over the way our players were gone in a flash-whoosh, no messing -gone. But getting one in takes ages and often ends in a negative. It puzzles me, something wrong somewhere
