um pahars Posted 5 August, 2014 Posted 5 August, 2014 Would recommend an evening out to go and watch this performance. Venue is really great, and performance itself pretty good. Very topical and some funny references to our current predicament!!! Anyone else go tonight??? Or planning on going???
Graffito Posted 5 August, 2014 Posted 5 August, 2014 I didn't go but I believe Ralph may have been there.
hypochondriac Posted 5 August, 2014 Posted 5 August, 2014 All my mates went. I had a ticket but sadly had to work so couldn't attend. Told it was a good night and Benali had a few interesting things to say.
charliegeorgesflymo Posted 6 August, 2014 Posted 6 August, 2014 I was there too - great fun trying to spot the old Saints players - saw Mark Dennis, Hughie Fisher, Peter Rodrigues, Reuben Agboola plus a few I recognised but couldn't put a name too. Interesting play although the youth of Southampton seem to speak with Sarf London accents!
Mr Dad Posted 6 August, 2014 Posted 6 August, 2014 Can anyone tell me how long the play lasts? Its OK. I found a Daily Echo page which says its 2 hours. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/events/Southampton/976626.Event.The_Saints/?ref=wo
um pahars Posted 6 August, 2014 Author Posted 6 August, 2014 There was an interval of about 20 minutes (enough time to pop in one of the boozers nearby!!) and it went on past 10:00.

It's a play about a Saints fan and the history of the club, featuring Matt Le Tissier and Francis Benali who have cameo roles on the big screens. You can find more info here: http://www.nuffieldtheatre.co.uk/whats-on/the-saints We're also doing a crowdfunding campaing called 'Be a Saint' - you can get some great rewards if you donate: http://www.nuffieldtheatre.co.uk/support-us/be-a-saint Thanks and any questions, please let me know!
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 16 August, 2014 Posted 16 August, 2014 Went last night and really enjoyed this. A good night out for everyone, fan or not. I got last minute tickets so if you want you should be able to still get a ticket but it ends tomorrow. Worth it.
millbrooktonian Posted 16 August, 2014 Posted 16 August, 2014 I went last night ,it was really good . Would highly recommend it.Makes you realise how far we have come ,I had forgotten our minus ten points following relegation .As a millbrook lad ,very proud and thought some of the characters reminded me of a few mates ,when we were nippers
