Amazing, considering the results and that the thousands who would not put money in RL's pocket.

I for 1 am pleased, the club has had a windfall and we get a full stadium, thats where the good news stops though. Can we give them a bye now and not have the mauling imposed on us?

Absolutely agree, the thousands that have stayed away have been the main driving force behind relegation this season. Ruperts hands have been tied from installing his plans by the bank and the fans. If we had had 30,000 + this season, we would not be in this state, Rupert has come back to save us, but some need saving from themselves!

Lowe has given us sexy football, a better chance of staving off administration, a team worthy of the play offs and shed the club of ALL the journeymen. If the crowds had followed this also, then we would be looking up to the Prem and not down to Div 3!

It's the fans fault and they should pay the penalty for this!

I also think it's a disgrace that ST Holders have been buying tickets on behalf of 'friends'! Friends who should already have bought ST's! Or am I missing the point, that it's loyal to be a Saints fan, or, it's loyal to be the 'friend' of a ST holder! By my reckoning, there will be the away end (full) and 9,000 ST holders, plus all the empty seats they bought to prevent those plastic fans from turning up.

Let's win this one for Rupert!

As far as I am concerned there is something to be said about stay-away, fair-weather fans a.k.a 'plastic fans'. I guess I can also see the other side of the argument about choosing to pay for high-profile games and not bother about the Tuesday night's and bottom of the league Saturday games.

When I eventually got back home after witnessing the rubbish this last Saturday I was extremely ****ed off, £40 poorer (and that didn't include ticket as I have a ST), depressed, half-cut on cheap cider and having taken a day off work, having to turn out on the Sunday to make up for it. All in all I was not a happy bunny and even had a name-calling contest with someone on here - can't remember who, but now I am sober and calmed down, sorry mate, no real insults intended. I do however still stick to my point that if one claims to support a club then it does help if you also put your money where your mouth is and turn up, pay your money and support the lads. By all means we should always welcome neutral well-wishers to SMS for an afternoon's entertainment - and as shown on Saturday if the ticket is reasonably priced then people and families will turn out.

However, what really gets right up my nose is those people who claim - usually very loudly - to be a Saints fan (or for that matter any other club) but not actually go and watch the team play football. Sure, it is not always possible to get to every game, and sure not everyone can afford a ST but support is not just letting your mates down the pub know that you are a Saints fan. Support is actually supporting!!!!!

And what REALLY, REALLY hacks me off is listening to people bang on and on about our club's fortunes when they have not been near SMS in years or only sporadically.

I am genuinely delighted that SMS will be full for the United game. It is bringing significant cash to the club (and however much I dislike him, I don't believe for a minute that RL will be making off with suitcases of bank notes after the tills close). I hope that some of those who have bought tickets to see the big-swinging-dicks from the Premier league in action will get enough of a buzz on the day and come back for some more mundane footie later in the season.

I guess I just don't like this beautiful game of ours being turned into nothing more than just a commercial entertainment industry. To me it is so much more.

Come on, get behind your team and support the SAINTS!!

Why are you fans who question other fans loyalties such a bunch of grade a ****s. I cannot believe you question other peoples loyalties over yours.

My reasons for not going now are many, a 1 yr old child who seeing grow up is far more appealing than driving all the way to Southampton for 90 minutes when the weekend is the the only time I get to see him, a massive reduction in income as my wife has given up work to stay at home to raise our child.

This along with the fact we are playing more on week nights when I am still working at kick off and we are playing very badly does not make me a lesser fan than any of you.

I have a long affiliation with this club much closer than many of you "die hard Northam we are the best in the world" fans and it makes me ****ing sick to listen to the lot of you wittling on like a bunch of schoolkids over who's dad is the hardest!!!!!!!!!

nickey, you and your other personality, nickeyh come on this forum as the first two to mention a full house.

My first thought was these little pixies are crowing as if their boy Lowey has done all this himself. Do you know what you can keep your little luvver boy and his club. You make me sick with your silly little games.

Merry xmas one and all.

I WILL BE THERE.

I have not been to St Marys in ages for obvious reasons.. We're sh*t. I will be sat back in my old premier league home of block 2. I also don't plan on coming back after the Man Utd game. I am not going for the football, I am going to get drunk.

Just go to the pub then.
