anyone who says 'glad we took £30m' is absolutely out of order.

anyways, feel sorry for the lad. shame really as he was coming back into form again and then he gets taken out like that.

hope he comes back strong

Quite...

It was upfront though, wasn't it?

£27m with add-ons? not entirely sure.

shame really, that's basically ruled him out of Euro 2016. Hope he can recover, still very young.

Frees up a place in the squad for Bertrand though, who deserves it more anyway.

It's horrendous, reminds me of the injuries Eduardo suffered for Arsenal. It was so clear, it was one of those horrible ''sick in the stomach' moments.

Such a good player, was coming good this year, but this is a hammer blow for him. This is going to be 12 months +, I just can't see how it won't be based on the pictures. That was bad.

Just need Schneiderlin to f#ck up his career now for the royal flush. Yes salty, f#ck the lot of them.

I am really not sure what you add to this board, other than to be a malicious trolling *****.

Are they saying its a compound fracture?

Feel bad for the lad. He was really starting to show his potential. Can't wish an injury like that on anyone.

@LukeShaw23: @SouthamptonFC thank you , you don't know how much you as a club mean to me , thank you so much I really appreciate it

Pretty sure that isn't him replying.

Yeah I thought that was somewhat soon after such a horrific injury. Imagine he's pretty out of it on oxygen and doped up to the eye balls on painkillers.

Cry me a river mate, he's a 20 year millionaire who's picked up an injury in his job and will now be sat on his arse for the next year earning 100k odd each week, get some perspective ffs.

What the **** has that got to do with him breaking his leg?

So somehow it's his fault that he is a millionaire making it ok for him to have a horror injury?

Compassion clearly isn't your forte.

Real shame for the lad, he was just starting to show his potential and this is a massive setback in his career. Might take him 18 months before he's even close to playing. Best wishes to him for a full recovery.

You really are a f*cking hideous scrote.

You're the moderator. I'm not sure why people like this, Dalek and alpine weren't banned years ago.

Looks like a career threatening injury, brings the transfer argument back into focus. You can understand why players decided to leave when big wages are on the table, when a tackle like this could end your career

This. Had exactly the same thought when I heard about the injury. Don't think David Busst ever played again?

Which his kind of pastor patrons point.

He has started his 2nd year (of 5) of his £100k a week deal.

Nasty though the whole Shaw thing is. Am I right in thinking Morgan is on the bench for Man U again. I'm not sure when he said he didn't want to be watching the CL on the telly anymore he meant he rather be watching it pitch side instead......

Posted
is Schweinsteiger playing? United probably don't need both him and Schneiderlin in the same team.

Yes..and Morgan is not at either his or Carricks level... Plays too safe...needs to be more decisive with his passing.

Well, I'll have him back then. Cheers

Looks like we have a suprise defector.

Sky Sports News going through the responses to Shaws injury on Twitter, just said 'from Shaw's former Saints team mate Jose Fonte who now plays for Liverpool'

Posted

Just featured Fonte's instagram post on SSN, Fonte is apparently now at Liverpool according to the presenter. Easy mistake to make I guess.

Hope he has a speedy recovery though, you wouldn't wish an injury like that on anyone. Such bad timing as Shaw was just starting to regain some of the form he showed when he was with us.

Just caught up with this, looked sickening :(

Would be surprised if he's back in time for the European Championships, but I really really hope I'm wrong and he has a speedy recovery.

I don't wish injuries like that on anyone no matter how they left Saints. I just hope

that as he is still a young lad he will heal a lot faster and better than say a 30 year old.

I also really hope he can recover enough so that he is still good enough to play for England

in the future... and I support Scotland.

I was hoping for some of their stars to be a bit knackered for the weekend, but not quite like that -a bit of heavy bruising maybe. Having seen the still I really don't want to see the video..

Gutted for Luke, what an awful thing to happen when he had finally got a run going in the team. He was playing really well, too.

No consolation he won't be playing Sunday either, I was looking forward to it.
