Smirking_Saint Posted 8 March, 2015 Share Posted 8 March, 2015 just watching the liverpool/blackburn game. Sturridge is insanely greedy. Which is why Id have Welbeck over him in my england team every time. Well, currently it would be Kane.

Lallana's Left Peg Posted 9 March, 2015 Share Posted 9 March, 2015 Sadly yes. They were always going to win the war. Not one of the five players who left us made a bad move. You could argue that perhaps Chambers left a year too early but in the long-run he'll be fine.

Plus their owners operate a 'Moneyball' type approach to football so if they are adamant they won't pay too much for anyone then they will sell. Everyone talks about how good a manager Wenger is but when it comes down to it I think he's mismanaged them ! There's something awry at Arsenal. For all his potential, Wilshere really hasn't kicked on as you would have hoped either. Every year they seem to have injury, after injury. I can't remember the exact figures, but they were chatting on talksh!te about it at the tail end of last season. They added up the total days of players being out injured and compared all the teams at the top and Arsenal were by far and away the worst in that regard. I thought Arsenal had specifically hired someone last summer to try and improve this situation. I forget, possibly someone from the German national team? Doesn't seem to have helped thus far though! angelman Posted 16 March, 2015 Share Posted 16 March, 2015 Was listening to Talksport when drifting off to sleep last night, and they had an interview with 'Arry. Anyway, his voice annoyed me and I soon fell asleep, but he came out with (the bit I heard) the biggest load of ballcocks you've ever heard. He said that on his first day in at Marchwood, some skate road workers were waiting for him and he was surprised as he hadn't realised that Pompey Saints hated each other that much. Really, how on earth can he say that? Anyway, was wondering how the operation on his knees was going. Anyone know?

AdrianC Posted 17 March, 2015 Share Posted 17 March, 2015 I guess finishing below Liverpool will be the disappointment factor of what has been an exceptional season. As Saints fans we're conditioned to accept some form of disappointment in a season and I suppose this is it. A blot on an otherwise outstanding campaign but there's still time and games to do something about it.

As Saints fans we're conditioned to accept some form of disappointment in a season and I suppose this is it. A blot on an otherwise outstanding campaign but there's still time and games to do something about it. A look at the upcoming fixtures would suggest we have a chance to be breathing down their scrawny scouse neck over the next few weeks. After a great season, the reflection must be that currently have too small a squad for sustained top four and a truly great season now, would be finishing above Pochettino and Rogers in fifth. I would f*cking love that.

With a fluked goal like last night's you begin to wonder if the gods of football are on their side. Or perhaps they are just seting them up for a big humiliation. I'm beginning to change my attitude to Man Utd. I almost hope they thrash Liverscum just to make sure that they don't finish in the top four.
