Great result, Liverpool have tough run coming up and already due to play Swansea next Monday night and now also need to play a replay in Blackburn as well

Which is why Id have Welbeck over him in my england team every time. Well, currently it would be Kane.

Totally agree

However, roy will ensure Kane is shoe-horned in with Sturridge

Rooney, Sturridge, Kane, Welbeck presumably for Woy. Second highest English goal scorer in the league despite playing for a nearly-relegated team, Charlie Austin? Nah, give us Welbz.

So this is the 1st time this season that all of the clubs that took players/ the manager from us are now all above us in the League?

All except Hull, yes. still over a quarter of the season to go though.

Well, it pleases anyone (and I'm sure it will do) Henderson has just rejected an 80K p.w. offer with Liverpool, with his agents claiming that he could get twice that sum elsewhere.

What goes around....

Raheem Sterling still hasn't signed his new deal either. This is where Liverpool's bad signings will really handicap what they can pay players who actually perform for them. Plus their owners operate a 'Moneyball' type approach to football so if they are adamant they won't pay too much for anyone then they will sell.

Oh how I would love them to get shafted by their best players. "I don't feel any sympathy for Liverpool. We all thought they were aiming for league titles, but it looks like their ambitions have changed. They didn't have to sell."

Anyone that doesn't have to stump up transfer fees and can afford it on that basis, presumably.

Agent talk, innit?

The new gerrard wants Gerard type of wages I guess

Shame, he sounds like a moron when he speaks

4 yellows and a (moronic) red for ManU I see. Nice.

But Arsenal are winning, so could do with an equaliser from ManU, for the replay.

And a few yellows/reds for Arsenal wouldn't go amiss.

Isn't it good to be watching and worrying about the top teams and how it affects us instead of the bottom teams, that makes it a good season, nothing to worry about except the summer sales

Oxlade Chamberlin injured again is it just me or does oxo get injured a lot? Mind you Walcott doesn't seem much better. I wonder how long before Arsenal turn Cambers into a sick note to?

I was saying to someone yesterday, I don't think Theo and Aoc have really got near their potential and Chambers hasn't been playing as well as he did for us ! Everyone talks about how good a manager Wenger is but when it comes down to it I think he's mismanaged them !

I think he's really brought them on as players but as a club their record at players physical welfare is absolutely shocking.

There's something awry at Arsenal. For all his potential, Wilshere really hasn't kicked on as you would have hoped either.

Every year they seem to have injury, after injury. I can't remember the exact figures, but they were chatting on talksh!te about it at the tail end of last season. They added up the total days of players being out injured and compared all the teams at the top and Arsenal were by far and away the worst in that regard. I thought Arsenal had specifically hired someone last summer to try and improve this situation. I forget, possibly someone from the German national team? Doesn't seem to have helped thus far though!

The Arsenal fans I was talking to seem to think Wengers training sessions might have something to do with it, what he does differently I don't know!?

If I was him, I'd jump out of that hole as soon as possible. Fantastic player, and he needs to be the main man again somewhere else. Would love to see him back in the PL.

Was listening to Talksport when drifting off to sleep last night, and they had an interview with 'Arry. Anyway, his voice annoyed me and I soon fell asleep, but he came out with (the bit I heard) the biggest load of ballcocks you've ever heard. He said that on his first day in at Marchwood, some skate road workers were waiting for him and he was surprised as he hadn't realised that Pompey Saints hated each other that much. Really, how on earth can he say that?

Anyway, was wondering how the operation on his knees was going. Anyone know?

First half of Swansea vs Liverpool, 0-0. From BBC Live commentary: "Daniel Sturridge touched the ball 19 times in the opening half. Only Adam Lallana touched it fewer times - 17. Jack Cork got hold of the leather 52 times."

Lucky old Liverhampton.Biased Refs and luck.Taters almost orgasmic when screaming out Names of Liverhampton players. The Telly Tubbies really must have been a great influence on their childhood with La La Na.Brenda now brags they will finish second.

I guess finishing below Liverpool will be the disappointment factor of what has been an exceptional season.

As Saints fans we're conditioned to accept some form of disappointment in a season and I suppose this is it.

A blot on an otherwise outstanding campaign but there's still time and games to do something about it.

A look at the upcoming fixtures would suggest we have a chance to be breathing down their scrawny scouse neck over the next few weeks. After a great season, the reflection must be that currently have too small a squad for sustained top four and a truly great season now, would be finishing above Pochettino and Rogers in fifth. I would f*cking love that.

With a fluked goal like last night's you begin to wonder if the gods of football are on their side. Or perhaps they are just seting them up for a big humiliation. I'm beginning to change my attitude to Man Utd. I almost hope they thrash Liverscum just to make sure that they don't finish in the top four.

Just listening to the phone-ins in the last hour or so.

It seems now Liverpool are set up to win the legate next year and rogers is a genius who is way before his time right now.
