CB Fry Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 (edited) However, if the FA Cup winning team has also qualified for the following season's Champions League, then the losing FA Cup finalist is given the Europa League place instead. From the 2015/16 season, UEFA will not allow the runners-up to qualify for the Europa League through the competition. This is a joke right? You not bothering to read what everyone else has posted on this, or the link I put up? Pretty breathtaking you can post the same thing up several times and still don't understand a word of it. CB Fry Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Just remind me, what happens if the 4th place team win the league cup again? Intertoto.
Turkish Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Intertoto. If a team qualify through the fair play league and finish 6th does the Europa league place go to the 8th placed team?
ericofarabia Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 If a team qualify through the fair play league and finish 6th does the Europa league place go to the 8th placed team? Questions, questions, questions!! [video=youtube;pWS8Mg-JWSg]
CB Fry Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 If a team qualify through the fair play league and finish 6th does the Europa league place go to the 8th placed team? Depends on who wins the Charity Shield.
Turkish Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Questions, questions, questions!! [video=youtube;pWS8Mg-JWSg] These things needs answers eric!
Lets B Avenue Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Just remind me, what happens if the 4th place team win the league cup again? They will go on an open bus tour of their city the following day?
ericofarabia Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 These things needs answers eric! Absolutely, but as the great Paul Weller said in The Changing Man ;- All I see, the more I know The more I know, the less I understand So to avoid any confusion, I insist that Saints finish in the Top 4
Redslo Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 If a team qualify through the fair play league and finish 6th does the Europa league place go to the 8th placed team? Not necessarily.
Whitey Grandad Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 I'm still not clear about 'from 2015-2016'. Does this refer to participation in this period or to qualification during it?
hutch Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 Depends on who wins the Charity Shield. I thought the Skates had nicked that.
CB Fry Posted 22 February, 2015 Posted 22 February, 2015 I'm still not clear about 'from 2015-2016'. Does this refer to participation in this period or to qualification during it? Ask Munster, he's right across this. The first matches of the Europa League 2015-2016 season kick off in August 2016. It's on Wikipedia and he's put it in bold so it must be right.

Twiggy Posted 23 February, 2015 Posted 23 February, 2015 http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/brendan-rodgers-blasts-southampton-over-8696958? There are no words...

Every time he opens his mouth he proves what an odious little turd he really is. Why doesn't he question Southampton press release people who gave Rickie Lambert a full page fond farewell yet barely managed two lines each for Lallana and Lovren. That reveals a lot about his little superstars and their behaviour towards Southampton FC. He also forgets the disrespect shown to Southampton by those two making comments and statements about how much they want to be at Liverpool while forgetting they, at the time, were contracted to Southampton.

Redslo Posted 24 February, 2015 Posted 24 February, 2015 Please explain. My understanding is that the fair play spot goes to the club that ranks the highest on the fair play table who has not already qualified. So the eighth place team might qualify for Europe but not for that reason.
jjsaint Posted 24 February, 2015 Posted 24 February, 2015 If you're talking about people topping themselves in the North West, Manchester is the place. Liverpool is unremarkable on the suicide front - at national average, the surrounding areas are up to 25% lower than the national average. I would have thought Portsmouth would be highest. Then again, it must be awfully hard to make a noose with webbed fingers.

cellone Posted 24 February, 2015 Posted 24 February, 2015 What exactly has it got to do with him? The comment under that article are fkn hilarious.
LGTL Posted 24 February, 2015 Posted 24 February, 2015 He is utterly obsessed with us, the ****ing weirdo.
pap Posted 26 February, 2015 Posted 26 February, 2015 Rickie. Living the dream. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/dunkin-donuts-gaffe-liverpools-tacky-5235952
S-Clarke Posted 26 February, 2015 Posted 26 February, 2015 Unlucky Poch, boo hoo Could have done with them staying in Europe for the run in. Bit of a bummer.
Bucks Saint Posted 26 February, 2015 Posted 26 February, 2015 Could have done with them staying in Europe for the run in. Bit of a bummer. True, but sooner or later they were going to have to play someone decent
Dark Munster Posted 26 February, 2015 Posted 26 February, 2015 True, but the further they went the better the chances of the bastards actually winning it.
Dark Munster Posted 26 February, 2015 Posted 26 February, 2015 Liverpool in extra time now... .... in the Turkish cauldron. Morale-sapping 120th minute defeat would be rather nice.
trousers Posted 26 February, 2015 Posted 26 February, 2015 Lambert on. Cue winning penalty coming up...
angelman Posted 26 February, 2015 Posted 26 February, 2015 Don't mind if Pool win - they can lose next round, tire themselves out etc
angelman Posted 26 February, 2015 Posted 26 February, 2015 Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooovren
Batman Posted 26 February, 2015 Posted 26 February, 2015 Lovren misses the penalty that knock liverpool out.. more importantly, where the hell was sterling in that shoot out!!!
