The Cat Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 I had £5 on Spurs first half Sheff Utd second half at 50/1. Gutted.
Dark Munster Posted 28 January, 2015 Posted 28 January, 2015 I had £5 on Spurs first half Sheff Utd second half at 50/1. Gutted. Next time put all your money on Eriksen scoring in the 88th minute.
andoru Posted 29 January, 2015 Posted 29 January, 2015 God, I hate Christain Eriksen. No more has done more to keep Pochettino in a job. Can we buy him?
Lord Duckhunter Posted 29 January, 2015 Posted 29 January, 2015 Forget Poch , surely spurs facing fixture pile up is good news for us. Shame they got knocked out of the FA cup. I hope them and Liverpool go as far as they can in all the cups without winning them. Hopefully utd and Arsenal will have nice long FA cup runs with a couple of replays chucked in . Why wouldn't we want our rivals for 4th risking injuries, burn out and suspensions by having to play more and more games. Had the ref done his job properly Liverpool would be without Lucas and Henderson this weekend , with Gerrard having played 120 mins in midweek . I'll be cheering them on for a victory over Bolton after another gruelling 120 mins, before another draw next round at palace .
GGalpin Posted 29 January, 2015 Posted 29 January, 2015 Not really a defector, but nice to see a cult hero doing well at his new club! https://twitter.com/eGehrig16/status/560604978008821761 Eric Gehrig @eGehrig16 “@cjdubbya: @eGehrig16 How has Guly been to play with thus far?” locker neighbor, great guy, and he can ball!

Sort of agree, but the way both clubs, Spurs in particular have spent their windfalls from selling their big stars, they both have big squads fairly well set for long cup runs.
redkeith Posted 29 January, 2015 Posted 29 January, 2015 I'm no tactical genius, but if I was in charge of a team playing against Spurs, I would put a man on Eriksen, particularly for the last 10 minutes. Take him out of the team and they would be down with Everton in the bottom half.

S-Clarke Posted 29 January, 2015 Posted 29 January, 2015 He clearly can't handle the pressure and expectation of playing for a 'big club', as found out at Lyon and now Liverpool. He was just right here, at a club exceeding expectations fitted with his game - no massive pressure or expectation on him and he could just perform. He still acted like a big headed **** when trying to get the move though, which will always leave an incredibly bitter taste.

angelman Posted 29 January, 2015 Posted 29 January, 2015 Would we take him back for 5 million....... I guess if Liverpool were to pay us £5m to take him back, it would be a little churlish to refuse.
Saint_clark Posted 29 January, 2015 Posted 29 January, 2015 Would we take him back for 5 million....... God no, I wouldn't take him back on a free. I just couldn't cheer and support him anymore. Ditto with Lallana and Chambers.
trousers Posted 30 January, 2015 Posted 30 January, 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31057054 Mauricio Pochettino - Spurs boss says fixture pile-up is 'unfair'
igsey Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Ramírez starts for Hull for the first time in ages (November I think?)
Lighthouse Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Sharp may have just won it for Leeds at Huddersfield.
Saint_clark Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31057054 The quotes given in that article don't actually use the word "unfair" at all.
Saint_clark Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Dejan Lovrens not even on the bench for Liverpool
BARCELONASAINT Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Ramirez has been so lightweight. Has to go down as the most expensive flop ever as far as Saints are concerned. Really wanted the lad to do well at Hull just so we might stand a chance of selling him. Who would want him now. He just is not cut out for the Premiership. Hull by the way are a team staring relegation in the face, they were awful

Jonnyboy Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Osvaldo was more of a flop without a doubt. At least he was exciting at times.
Saint_clark Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 At least he was exciting at times. As was Ramirez.
Lighthouse Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 At least he was exciting at times. Aside from that one goal against City, his on the pitch contribution was utterly forgettable. A worse signing IMO.
shirleysfc Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 What's going on with Lovren? Is he injured?
Sheaf Saint Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 Billy Sharp, Jonno Forte and Ricardo Fuller all scored for their respective clubs today.
Saints foreva Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 What's going on with Lovren? Is he injured? Nope.
Lets B Avenue Posted 31 January, 2015 Posted 31 January, 2015 More love from Holloway for Jos, I predict. 2 games, 2 clean sheets.
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 1 February, 2015 Posted 1 February, 2015 Liverpool Echo re Lovren for those who didn't have the time to click the link: 'His last start in any competition was at Bournemouth, where he was troubled continually by the Cherries’ Matt Ritchie. He was replaced by Sakho at half time in that game, and has barely been seen since'. Now that's funny.
Lighthouse Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Lallana starts for Liverpool on BBC1 at 1945. The mighty Bolton are deemed too big a challenge for Lovren.
ART Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Sad to learn pressure from Jack Cork's missus was the real reason for him not signing a new contract and going to Swansea.
CB Fry Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Anti-Saints agenda on the BBC as usual at the start of the Liverpool match. They've done a little montage of the shock results of the fourth round, featuring the Man City, United and Chelsea upsets. But they seem to have forgotten to include that seismic shock of Southampton FC being knocked out by, err, another Premier League team. Strange as forum geniuses on here got very upset when that bombshell result wasn't considered as newsworthy as the others. Why oh why oh why do they hate us so?
VectisSaint Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Lallana starts for Liverpool on BBC1 at 1945. The mighty Bolton are deemed too big a challenge for Lovren. Perhaps he would have struggled with Matt Mills playing CF.
Lighthouse Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Incidentally Matt Mills is the Bolton skipper.
angelman Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 IS that Phil Neville's whiny voice assaulting me aurally? If so, I wish he would STFU as he is annoying.
Batman Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 did you know that the FA Cup final is the same day as Gerrards birthday? only been mentioned twice since the start of the show
Chalkboy Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 IS that Phil Neville's whiny voice assaulting me aurally? If so, I wish he would STFU as he is annoying. Agree. At first I thought it was one of the Chuckle Brothers.
Pancake Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Incidentally Matt Mills is the Bolton skipper. And playing up front too.
Crab Lungs Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Would prefer they went through and had more games...
trousers Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Would prefer they went through and had more games... Fair point #dilemma
Lighthouse Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Extra time and a couple of injuries would do for me. Preferably Sterling and Coutinho.
Crab Lungs Posted 4 February, 2015 Posted 4 February, 2015 Fair point #dilemma Them, United, Arsenal, Spurs.. hope they do really, really, really well and have lot's of games and extra time and bookings... but fall at the last hurdle!
