Jesus christ can we stop all this now? It's not even Xmas yet and we've got a very hard run of games coming up. It's likely that we'll drop and Liverpool are more than likely to finish above us still and we'll all look a bit silly.

Absolutely not. Football has never been about who laughs last, laughs loudest. It's about taking every opportunity to lord it over other teams when you can as you never know when you'll get the chance again.

You are putting a lot of faith in Balloheskey, Borini, Lambert, Johnson et. al. overhauling what is already an 11 point gap.

If we were putting those performances in with that team would you be betting on us to be top 4?

I don't think they'll get top four. But I don't think we will either.

Ohh cripes. We're going to look a bit silly! Perish the thought.

No, we can't. For the very reasons you state that it might all come undone, we are going to wring every last bit of enjoyment out of it while we still can. Well I am anyway.

Besides, I haven't seen anything about Liverpool to convince me they will finish above us this season. They are a disjointed mess at the moment and I don't see how they can improve, short of miraculously re-signing Suarez.

I don't think that Markus, as a Christian, would so vindictive as to act punitively and to associate him with such a behaviour is a bit rum.

¿qué? :?

As much as I want their clubs to fail I actually want Shaw and Chambers to succeed and play well. It speaks volumes about our academy the more class players leave the production line and detracts from it anytime these players don't succeed. Lallana i'm half-half about; he went about the move in a really bad way but we all would've agreed that he deserved champions league football the same way Schneiderlin does. If we don't make top 4 then no one can blame Spiderman if a big club comes calling; Lovren on the other hand can get what's coming to him. A mercenary at heart gets no loyalty from his supporters. Lovren and Balotelli are the scapegoats because they weren't part of the squad good enough to almost win the title but the pennys starting to drop that they were a 2-man team scoring 3 goals a game while the other 9 players conceded 2.

I happen to know the cousin of a current spurs first team player. He hates Poch, said he doesn't want to play for him or spurs and it going to run his contract down and leave at the end of it if they don't flog him first.

Its gotta be Jan V, he is running his contract down last I read and it would explain why he can't get in their team despite probably being the best player with Hugo

Which only means one thing....

He's got it in shed loads.

What a shame....

Ha ha ... wonder if it was intentional to spell his name incorrectly, after all the translator bollixs last year? ......

"It is clear from the result we need to improve a lot and improve quickly," added former Southampton boss Potchettino, pity they didn't start it with a B instead of a P though!!

Good points, but looking at it from another angle, if players like Shaw and Chambers struggle at their new clubs then it might persuade our academy lads that they’re better off hanging around with us for at least the early years of their careers. The high reputation of our academy has long been established by the likes of Bale, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain et al, and, imo, won’t be tarnished by Shaw and Chambers going through some initial trials and tribulations. Like others have said, they’ll more-than-likely prove themselves to be excellent players eventually; although, personally, I’m yet to be totally convinced about Chambers’ potential.

Lol at latest from Brendan. Tough to get stars here, says it all about who did want to joinRodgers: Tough to tempt stars to Liverpool

Given his new role a a bench warmer, and a reserve team starter in the CL, I'd say Lallana is feeling on the top of the world right now after those comments....

Deserves it.

So they are the most successful club in English football history yet all of a sudden they are too far from london to attract players, WTF is he on about?

Liverpool has always been 200 miles from london and it's always been a sh!thole. Attracting players is not the problem, it's finding the right ones when your a sh!t manager that's the problem.

Perhaps it's not wanting to live in Liverpool that does it. Or perhaps, it's just that they want to play for manager's with some sort of pedigree (Mourinho, Wenger, Van Gaal, Pellegrini) who have actually achieved something other, rather than a fraud like Brendan. Seem to recall reading Sanchez was desperate to play for Wenger, can't ever imagine anyone saying "i'm desperate to play for Brendan Rodgers".

I think this worked in our favour with players like Toby A, Tadic, Pelle and maybe even Bertrand all very keen to link up and work with Koeman. Difficult to imagine any big names or talented individuals wanting to do that with Brendan.
