Batman Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Christ, now one of the talksport lot just called rogers "clever" with his team and tactics tonight
Lets B Avenue Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 What do you expect from Talkscouse with Micky Fuc king Quinn as their expert summariser?
S-Clarke Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 I think Johnson and Lovren have lost their places in that side for the foreseeable.
pap Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 What do you expect from Talkscouse with Micky Fuc king Quinn as their expert summariser? Great face for radio though.
Lets B Avenue Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Great face for radio though. Great face for knocking in a new cricket bat.
Saint_Tony Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 What do you expect from Talkscouse with Micky Fuc king Quinn as their expert summariser? To be fair, he said that they lost the game, so Rodgers did get it wrong, regardless of the performance
suewhistle Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Just seen the report. What made me chuckle is that you could have got from 9/1 to 12/1 on Liverpool to win! In 1976 I remember 2nd division Saints werer 5/1....
Lazlo78 Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 So we went mental on Pochettino for resting players in a cup we participate in every year. Liverpool have talked about how long they have waited for their return to the CL, "this is what it's all about", "our reward" etc. and then they go and field a weakened side. Ouch!
pap Posted 4 November, 2014 Posted 4 November, 2014 Great face for knocking in a new cricket bat. Would this be before or after the linseed oil application? The pride of walking out with a permanently stained blood talksport presenter cricket bat would be immense, but would the blood eventually corrode the wood? Large questions on SaintsWeb tonight...

The thickness gene in the blood DNA would strenthen the bat everytime the ball was smashed for six
John Boy Saint Posted 5 November, 2014 Posted 5 November, 2014 The thickness gene in the blood DNA would strenthen the bat everytime the ball was smashed for six Fat from the Pies would also ensure it lasts a long time too!
Delboy Dave Posted 5 November, 2014 Posted 5 November, 2014 Poor old Dejan. Gets dropped for the game he's been dreaming of playing in for years, and gets his wife to do his dirty work and post his displeasure on her social media. So sad. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA X 100
david in sweden Posted 5 November, 2014 Posted 5 November, 2014 So we went mental on Pochettino for resting players in a cup we participate in every year. Liverpool have talked about how long they have waited for their return to the CL, "this is what it's all about", "our reward" etc. and then they go and field a weakened side. Ouch! I think Rodgers problem is .....he has no idea what his strongest side is....although having watched most of their matches, I'd be no closer to that answer myself.
angelman Posted 5 November, 2014 Posted 5 November, 2014 Poor Rickie, but Lovren...... Lil. The grass seems not to be quite so green but hey, he will be well paid. It will be fascinating to see if the Bleacher report article will play out or whether he will do well.
Window Cleaner Posted 5 November, 2014 Posted 5 November, 2014 Ah I don't know, think Rodgers may have written this one off and has prioritised the Chelsea game along with the next 2 CL games which they'd seem to have a better chance (on paper at least) of winning and thus gaining a qualification. Expect most of the missing "first teamers" to be back on Saturday. I'd still leave Gerrard out though.
BotleySaint Posted 5 November, 2014 Posted 5 November, 2014 He couldn't play in Madrid, his head was still in Liverpool.
Saint Billy Posted 5 November, 2014 Posted 5 November, 2014 I dont feel sorry for any of them even Lambert, if he had his head screwed on right he should have realised there was going to be only one way the move to his spiritual home would end. He might well have been spending some time on the bench with us but at least he would have ended his icon status at saints untarnished instead of slipping into obscurity at pool.

Expect most of the missing "first teamers" to be back on Saturday. I'd still leave Gerrard out though. that seems to be the consensus. But what's the point of being part of the competition if you go to lose? Talksport has just had that ex Liverpool German player who said that if you asked any Liverpool fan, they would have taken a 1-0 defeat. Where is the ambition? Sure Real are favourites but if you can't be arsed to try and compete...... So why are they prioritising Chelsea? To try and finish top 4 and join CL? Well they are already in CL so why not concentrate on that? Amazing seeing all the Liverpool lovers trying to fend off the decision and think it a good one.
alpine_saint Posted 5 November, 2014 Posted 5 November, 2014 I feel sorry for little Lovren. Not because Daddy didnt play, but because Daddy is a c**t.
alpine_saint Posted 5 November, 2014 Posted 5 November, 2014 LOL at officials and players of LFC lining up to the press expressing their expectation that they will still progress through the group stage. They seem to have forgotten they've lost to Basle already, who need only a point.
DT Posted 5 November, 2014 Posted 5 November, 2014 They are second in the deluded league only to Spurs

My own total, unfortunately, is far higher.

Window Cleaner Posted 5 November, 2014 Posted 5 November, 2014 Apparently we had a fire sale in the summer according to this report. More like a dutch auction where the punters actually paid the ridiculously elevated prices asked.
adrian lord Posted 5 November, 2014 Author Posted 5 November, 2014 It is almost as if Rickie is descending into a meths-drinking hell of squalid bedsits in Liverpool the way we are going on about his career fading away by the week on the bench. All jolly amusing.
SarniaSaint Posted 6 November, 2014 Posted 6 November, 2014 LOL and another LOL Lowest of the low to use a 1 year old
pap Posted 6 November, 2014 Posted 6 November, 2014 There's a little piece at the end of this article which indicates that Liverpool have let three of their scouts go. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/nov/05/liverpool-john-w-henry-dubai-naming-rights Must have been one hell of an expense claim from Cherwell Valley services! (or they didn't buy well)
Plastic Posted 6 November, 2014 Posted 6 November, 2014 Incredible that Lovren, despite playing badly, feels he should be guaranteed a start. And bizarre that he has used his wife to voice his displeasure.
Wes Tender Posted 6 November, 2014 Posted 6 November, 2014 Incredible that Lovren, despite playing badly, feels he should be guaranteed a start. And bizarre that he has used his wife to voice his displeasure. Agreed, It smacks of a pathetic desperation. But apparently Lovren's statistics in defence are better than those for Toby Alderweireld and Fonte in terms of the number of tackles, interceptions, clearances he made, according to some stats I read. But read between the lines and try and explain them away and what we all know is true becomes clear. He has to make more clearances, tackles, interceptions, etc, for the simple reason that his fellow defenders and the defensive midfield in front of him at Liverpool is nowhere near as good as ours. That is why he looked good for Southampton and crap for Scousehampton.

Wopper Posted 6 November, 2014 Posted 6 November, 2014 Most scousers recognize c*nts when they see them so lallana & lovren are seen as a pr. of w*nkers

Torrent Of Abuse Posted 7 November, 2014 Posted 7 November, 2014 I guess most weeks it's more like: "Why my daddy doesn't clear his lines? Daddy not stepping up in line with Skrtel. Leave space for midfielder to run in. Bad daddy."
angelman Posted 7 November, 2014 Posted 7 November, 2014 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2825021/Liverpool-Chelsea-recouped-close-75m-summer-Brendan-Rodgers-got-wrong.html A fairly accurate appraisal. But it's sad that clubs are now going to think that the only answer is buying from abroad, although that might help us keep hold of ours. Having said that, I see more reports of Wenger and Morgan appearing.

angelman Posted 7 November, 2014 Posted 7 November, 2014 That's just the lack of proof reading that is all too common with DM these days....apparently (not that I would know as I'm not a DM reader )

'I don't feel sorry for southampton, nobody forced them to sell their best players. They gave up their ambitions to be in the champions league and cashed in. It was their choice.'

'I don't feel sorry for southampton, nobody forced them to sell their best players. They gave up their ambitions to be in the champions league and cashed in. It was their choice.' Oh - in all the excitement of the summer that one passed me by. Apart from being hugely disingenuous, it makes it all the sweeter that he is failing (at present). But, I don't feel sorry for Liverpool, nobody forced them to sell their best player. They gave up their ambitions to be in the CL (as evidenced by the pïss poor showing at Real). It was their choice. Karma.

'I don't feel sorry for southampton, nobody forced them to sell their best players. They gave up their ambitions to be in the champions league and cashed in. It was their choice.' That was, in hindsight, one of the best football quotes ever. Of course, we await to see how the season pans out but there can be no doubt that have not given up any ambition, we've just found a different way to try and achieve it (and exploit you along the way).

Like no one forced Swansea to let him go. I fumed at that admittedly.
ART Posted 7 November, 2014 Posted 7 November, 2014 One defector from earlier days that doesn't get a mention is Wayne Bridge. Found it very odd he's not been back to the club or participated in the opening of the Pavilion. Were it more recent that he departed we'd have got a whole lot more for our Academy formed left back.
