 It's a poisoned chalice for any manager to be honest, a disjointed and imbalanced squad with little movement to improve.

Players like Griezman, Dembele, Coutinho aren't Barcelona players - upwards of $300m spent on those. They just don't fit that club.

Then they've got Martin Braithwaite coming off the bench. They need a lot of work, they've regressed back to the early 00's

For anyone that is interested/hasn't seen it, Pochettino was the guest on MNF tonight. He spoke very highly about his time at Southampton and the staff and players he had here. I also liked the way he was very quick to praise Nigel Adkins for the fitness and quality of the squad he inherited. The whole video is below but the section on Southampton starts at 26:45.

He must have been reading from a Scott Marshall textbook laying around.  Two OGs in his only two Saints appearances. One of those was off his arse if I remember correctly.
