I can cope with most of them winning a PL medal except that rat faced knobber.

Assume you mean Nivea.

For me seeing VD collect a medal is galling given the way he managed to engineer his move and gave such half arsed performances for us.

A chance to see if Austin can get off the bench for West Brom tonight. No, I mean literally, lets see if he's physically fit enough to stand up from the bench.

1-0 down away from home chasing the equaliser in the second half. WBA used five subs in pursuit of a goal yet Austin's arse remained welded to the bench.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jul/07/adam-lallana-will-not-play-again-for-liverpool-to-protect-transfer-says-klopp

So he's a legend according to Klopp and wants to sign a new contract but Klopp is not going to play him in case he gets injured and so cant have a move.

Kind of says he knows he's injury prone and he cant wait to move the legend on

Had a look at a Spurs forum to see anything about KWP and his progress. Interesting read about Poch and some looking to dispel the myth about him bringing through young players:

Yes, Poch had a young side early on, but the majority of those players were not introduced or recruited by Pochettino. The longer his tenure went on, the more influence Pochettino had on recruitment and integration, our team got older and older until it was one of the oldest in the PL.

You categorically said he was a manager with a record of playing young players. His record for playing young players is absolutely nothing special at all.

You’re letting your dislike cloud your judgement.  Klopp was class towards Ings when he left & this is pretty decent of him as well. He obviously likes the guy, and doesn’t want an injury to affect his immediate future.

This sounds like how he was always credited with Shaw’s announcement on the scene, when he was already our starting LB when Poch arrived. He is a great manager, and was really good for us, but I can’t help think that Koeman’s team has sort of enhanced the memory of Poch’s tenure, as it was a continuation of progress and some of that period kind of blurs into one for some I think.

Dominic Gape in the victorious Wycombe Team last night. Deserves to play in the Championship as was a good captain of our under 23 side a few years ago They would have been dancing in the streets of Burton Bradstock last night.

Bit of a change from that horrible goal he let in against Blackpool I think it was 😕

His performance at Exeter in the league cup away many moons ago was the biggest joke of a goalkeeping performance I have ever seen. It is impossible to describe how poor it was, he was totally devoid of any confidence and it was so sad to see it.

There was a lot of talk about the op and procedures he had being an absolute mess, and that kind of says it all.

Good to see him back and scoring though. Always liked Jay, shame for him as he could have been a very, very good player and would probably have left as part of our exodus post MP.

On another note, nice to see Austin really setting the levels at WBA.

They really don't like him there, calling him a L1 player on a downward path.

If Robson-Kanu gets in the team ahead of you, it's clear your time is up at the 'top levels'.

Shame, he was such a nice 'chap'.

Gareth Bale's situation is a strange one. He's clearly never going to play at Real Madrid as himself and Zidanne are always at loggerheads, doesn't even get in the match day squads.

Yet his agent is now saying that he isn't leaving Real Madrid because no one will be able to pay what he earns, and how he's 'happy' and settled at Madrid - even if he doesn't play any games?

Has Gareth completely fallen out of love with football and is just going to enjoy the mega money and not do anything until his contract runs out?

He should just admit defeat in his Zidanne showdown, leave the club and take a pay cut to join another top club. There would be countless takers if he was willing to take a pay cut, but as I said, maybe playing football isn't important to him anymore.

What an easy job that is - all done, dusted and crossing the ether while still sat in your Jim-jams and still coffee in your cup!
Just shows what little attention the hack has paid to Ralph’s preferred player profile.
Still always good to keep abreast of what life insurance and solar panel deals are available to me locally. 😁

Why would he want to go anywhere at 31 he has a contract paying him reputedly £450k per week until 2022.

Having bumped into him at the Vale Resort last Autumn, Wales were playing at home and it’s the accommodation for both the Rugby and Footie when playing in Cardiff - good luck to him is all I can say.

Dunno, but getting £450k a week it gets to the point where you’re just so rich that a few mil here and there doesn’t really make any difference.

Surely he wants to play football again before he’s too old?

Don’t know him so I don’t know his motivations.

Yeah that’s how I see it. Sure he’s within his rights to sit tight & gather his pay but surely he must have so much money that it’s an irrelevance at this point beyond an ego thing. Maybe all he wants to do is play golf and play a couple of games for Wales. Fair enough but as a someone who loves football that seems a waste.

Guillem Balagué has done some good write ups on it, worth scouting out from the BBC if you're interested. Bale would have left last season only for Real to change the terms of the deal at the last minute. In short now he's well paid, his family is settled in Madrid and he has a nice life. I expect there is a bit of a f*ck you Madrid/Zidane attitude going on too with the stubbornness. When people question is he still has the motivated by football just look at him when he throws on a Wales shirt, absolute world beater!

If he fancies a Keegan-esque last hurrah I think we would all love it but there doesn't seem to be much to suggest he'll move on until the end of his contract.
