magnet Posted 24 April, 2017 Share Posted 24 April, 2017 Hopefully Lovern will put in a similar performance on the 7th against us as he did yesterday. Analysing the game for NBC Sports last night, Middlesbrough legend Robbie Mustoe scathed: "Dejan Lovren is a liability. He was a big part of both goals conceded. He gambled and went in lazily for the goals, and was at fault for both". Ex-Reds John Arne Riise and Jamie Carragher also joined in the barracking: * Riise: "Lovren was poor on defending the ball in behind. The marking wasn't there in the box". * Carra: “Lovren’s involvement in both goals—both times, he tries to knick the ball [and misses]. [He should] read the situation and know whether to dive in, and he got it wrong on both occasions.”

East Kent Saint Posted 24 April, 2017 Share Posted 24 April, 2017 To be fair to Lovren the analysis today say CP took note of the full backs getting forward so attacked the flanks to expose the 2 centre backs which is what happened so Klopp is in fact the guilty party ! Both of which were against championship/league 1 opposition. He looked utterly awful when given a chance and fully deserv d to be shipped out. Didn't do it her at alol which doesn't necessarily lead on to him being a good player but clearly wasn't up to the prem.
John B Posted 24 April, 2017 Share Posted 24 April, 2017 I went with a Man City friend to Wembley yesterday Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had a fine game and was MOM. His attacking play and final ball is somewhat frustrating in the games I've seen him play for them, but for 11-12m he's a pretty sound buy. The ones I know think he's been excellent, a 8/10 every week - a player who rarely, if ever gets beaten whose more limited attacking game was making progress before Mane got injured. They've spluttered for goals and CL qualifiication is under threat, so many scousers are just lashing out.

They just don't have the squad you need to make top 4 nowadays unless you can go a whole season à la Leicester with hardly any injuries. Liverpool do seem to get at least their fair share of mid to long term injuries. Coutinho, Henderson,Mané, Lallana must have or will miss at least 10 games this season I think. I think Morgan has been woefully mismanaged and had he been in Poch's Spurs team (or day i say it Klopps Liverpool team) we'd all be vindicated on saying how good he is. Technically Morgan is a far better all round footballer than Wanyama and played correctly offers a hell of a lot more to the game than just the destroyer in the middle of the pitch that Wanyama does. I used to really like Arsenal mainly cos if the brilliant football under Wenger. Don't like them now and think a lot to do with their supporters. scotty Posted 6 May, 2017 Share Posted 6 May, 2017 Didn't have any realistic chance anyway. Maybe, maybe not. If they'd notched yet another three points, chelskis final burst might not have looked quite such a formality. One point ahead of a side which kept relentlessly winning? And had closed a pretty big gap? Reckon a spurs win last night would have messed with chelseas heads, possibly just enough to make a slip.
