Saint Charlie Posted 28 July, 2014 Posted 28 July, 2014 Just wondering what people thought of Egil during his time at Saints? I thought he was a solid striker, the type that did well against the slow defenders of that era. Could be a tidy finisher and got some important goals for us. Seemed a top lad too. Probably still is. Strange there are barely any decent Norwegian players now as this era was full of the ****ers.
Roger Posted 28 July, 2014 Posted 28 July, 2014 Class when with Berkovic, running into slide rule balls but got worse at the end of his saints tenure. I owe you an apology mate you were right. We are doomed and I misjudged katrina.
Dan Johnson Posted 28 July, 2014 Posted 28 July, 2014 Think I was about 14-15 when Egil was playing. Remember nearly crying one summer when I read Newcastle were interested in signing him.

Fitzhugh Fella Posted 28 July, 2014 Posted 28 July, 2014 I met him at the Man Utd game, very pleasant chap but he was lucky to have Berkovic here for that one season and when Eyal left he was never the same player
