St Marco Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Same happened under NC as well though. It's called being a small club. Really? When did he sell all our best players in one window?
Batman Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Our managers haven't had a say in transfers for a couple of years to be fair. Les Reed stated time and time again that the manager has the biggest say within the transfer committee
DG Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 If this happens i'm joining the bed-wetters alliance. The signings/replacements must be top notch.
Roger Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Les Reed stated time and time again that the manager has the biggest say within the transfer committee Yep. Starting to see why poch and the players wanted to go they saw what was going on.
Appy Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Les Reed stated time and time again that the manager has the biggest say within the transfer committee He also said we weren't looking to sell players.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Really? When did he sell all our best players in one window? That wasn't what I said was it. We were talking about selling youngsters.
Batman Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 That wasn't what I said was it. We were talking about selling youngsters. we sold 1 in 4 years
tttdcs Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 If true, perhaps our owner would like to tell us all her ambitions and aims for the next few seasons.
St.JonB Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 The board are having a nightmare. No sense in this one what so ever. Are we allowing every player who wants to leave to go? I'm going to bed now and hoping that when I wake up someone would have grown a pair of balls and learnt to say "NO!" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SaintRobbie Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Fire sale. fact. We are in the ****. And by the way, tonight's performance at Bournemouth was rubbish.
Baird of the land Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 If true, perhaps our owner would like to tell us all her ambitions and aims for the next few seasons. Getting into Europe via fair play league maybe.
simo Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Obviously we as fans won't do anything about it ! Just keep paying our money and "Support the team" Great way to show Morgan some ambition!
Bos Vegas Saint Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Our managers haven't had a say in transfers for a couple of years to be fair. so koeman had nothing to do with pelle and tadic signing , from where i'm sitting he is being given the chance to build his own team , the signings will come
Saint George Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Looks to me that some peeps on here need to man up and offer Crabs an apology.
corky morris Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 I really hope this is BS. I'm no bed wetter, but WTF!! Inc Chambers, Osvaldo & Morgan that would be 7 of the starting 11! I hope it's bo11ocks!
SarniaSaint Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 We need a real CEO now not some f-----g accountant . Have never rated Les Reed think he is out of his depth. So already sold 80M of talent and spent less than 20M. Several words can describe this the most charitable is INCOMPETANT.
Didcot Saint Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Now I'm getting proper f.....d off. WTF is going on. Was trusting our board now they can really f..k off
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 we sold 1 in 4 years How many had broken into the first team during that time?
Goatboy Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 No formal offer from Arsenal for Calum Chambers yet, but clubs in discussions. #saintsfc understood to be expecting £16m bid.
SaintRobbie Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 My family just asked me why we bothered to renew our season tickets. As a family we've supported Saints for nearly 18 years together - through thick and lots of thin. Never heard that before. Giving up.

BotleySaint Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 What a bizarre situation really. Surely something must be up at the club. I can accept a few wanting to move on but this many raises a lot of questions. All speculation so far though.
Dazza82 Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2014/07/25/4982954/arsenal-agree-16m-deal-for-southampton-star-chambers Another one, this is getting a joke. Not even any stories of any incoming players
ThreeSixty Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 My family just asked me why we bothered to renew our season tickets. As a family we've supported Saints for nearly 18 years together - through thick and lots of thin. Never heard that before. Giving up. Good, jog on.

As a family we've supported Saints for nearly 18 years together - through thick and lots of thin. Never heard that before. Giving up. Excellent, so you wont be posting on here ever again then.
Baird of the land Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 No formal offer from Arsenal for Calum Chambers yet, but clubs in discussions. #saintsfc understood to be expecting £16m bid. Tell them to **** *** and stick any bid in the bin. That shouldn't require much discussion.
St Chalet Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 £16m for our second choice right back? The price for English talent is unreal.
Delboy Dave Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 I know it's goal.com http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2014/07/25/4982954/arsenal-agree-16m-deal-for-southampton-star-chambers

Dazza82 Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 To be honest i saw him as a future centre back for us, i sure that is where he will end up
Goatboy Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Les et al, if you need a bit of help: Arsene/whoever, we are flattered by your interest in /cc/whoever but please, let me take this opportunity to say: f**k off, he's not for sale.
Lighthouse Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 £16m for our second choice right back? The price for English talent is unreal. My thoughts exactly. I wonder how the Arsenal fans would react if they spent £16m on Southampton's reserve RB.
Batman Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 My thoughts exactly. I wonder how the Arsenal fans would react if they spent £16m on Southampton's reserve RB. he is not our reserve RB though is he. he is very much a starter. not much in it between him and clyne despite the age difference
Goatboy Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Total cock lol. Give up. Come back when everything is rosy you saddoe.
Badger Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Koeman says its all ********. Lots of paper talk, all from the same source. Where does he say this ? Southampton fc are a joke. Kris temple now saying koeman hasn't a clue what's going on. He hasn't a say. Why didn't they sell club before cortèse left ffs If Reed is selling players without the managers input I fear Koeman will also be on his way shortly rather than put up with this farce.
buctootim Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 £16m for our second choice right back? The price for English talent is unreal. It is, although I think Chambers has more potential than Clyne.
SaintRobbie Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Excellent, so you wont be posting on here ever again then. Even more sadly... Won't have anything else to talk about other than a relegation fight.
Didcot Saint Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 F in cretins ruining our club. WTF is going on
Saints foreva Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 I bet Saints don't do the Solent fan forum...
buctootim Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Even more sadly... Won't have anything else to talk about other than a relegation fight. You stiill here moaning? thought you were effing off.
Matthew Le God Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 F in cretins ruining our club. WTF is going on Some of the biggest and richest clubs in World football are making large bids for our players and shock horror, our players are interested.
LeBenali Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 So this would see us needing a goalkeeper and an entire new back 4? Plus a winger & another striker, and that's assuming nobody else leaves. I'm usually optimistic but I'd worry if (when) this one goes through, signing six players and expecting them to integrate into the team in 5 weeks won't happen.
Badger Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 It is, although I think Chambers has more potential than Clyne. Many on here have suggested Chambers is more versatile and might play in a back 3 - which may fit Koeman's style - or as a defensive midfielder.
SuperSAINT Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Can we get Joel Campbell as part of the deal? I'd say buy him rather than loan him for the season, but he'd probably be off at the end of the season regardless!
Lighthouse Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 he is not our reserve RB though is he. he is very much a starter. not much in it between him and clyne despite the age difference Well yes, he is one of those starters who was an unused substitute in 3 of our last 4 games and got 10 minutes at the end against Man Utd.
SaintRobbie Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 lol. Give up. Come back when everything is rosy you saddoe. Cheer on your Boardroom and owner Goatboy. Your lack of ambition and condescension to those with constructive opinion on this forum is exactly what out lack of ambitious club deserve. God I hope we survive in the Premier a League this season.
Batman Posted 25 July, 2014 Posted 25 July, 2014 Well yes, he is one of those starters who was an unused substitute in 3 of our last 4 games and got 10 minutes at the end against Man Utd. he played 21 times in the league last season. at 18, in his debut season not beyond this crazy world that he would push on further (like shaw did) and cement that place as his own
