Jimmy_D Posted 24 July, 2014 Share Posted 24 July, 2014 One too many 0's. Did seem a bit expensive for a 15 year old! I guess it's all covered by the EPPP guidelines now?

opthomps Posted 24 July, 2014 Share Posted 24 July, 2014 Strawberry blonde child. Lots of back up and youth keepers we have. Hope we get Forstar as well though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

farawaysaint Posted 24 July, 2014 Share Posted 24 July, 2014 Wow, 1.3mill in all, looking at the add on structure I know it appears unlikely but potentially a lot of money for a 15 year old goalkeeper (also shows just how ridiculous add-ons can be as mentioned r.e the Scousers). I believe that's after 100 first team appearances which would make him a steal if that comes to fruition.
sambosa75 Posted 24 July, 2014 Share Posted 24 July, 2014 Nice lads they were but the keepers on the clubs books at that age weren't really up to standard.
Professor Posted 24 July, 2014 Share Posted 24 July, 2014 Looks to be a good prospect but taken in conjunction with the attempt to buy Forster, it must be sending a message to Gazzaniga and Cropper that prospects for them may be limited. That the club rates young Osborn enough to make the financial commitment they have shows they must feel confident in his likely development so a very positive move. brmbrm Posted 24 July, 2014 Share Posted 24 July, 2014 Financial commitment? If thhere is one chance in a hundred he turns out great you have ourself PL goalie for 4 million on average, which would be good value. Dunno where you stack the other 99 though - Asda? Unless of course it is a long term investment paying back 15x the Premium when he is sold on. Joking of course but goalies rarely reach their peak until their late twenties so this boy will be no threat to Cropper, not sure about Gaazzaniga 'though! It says also that we don't have any good young goalkeeping lads in the Academy...

VectisSaint Posted 24 July, 2014 Share Posted 24 July, 2014 "Southampton have got a great reputation for developing young players – you only have to see what they’ve done with Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw to see that" So Neal, will it be Liverpool or Manure, I think we need to know which team you will be dreaming of when you are between the sticks for the Saints. Good to see though, and nice to know that if does well Torquay will get a bit of a cut, they might need it soon now they are back in the Conference
Saint in Paradise Posted 24 July, 2014 Share Posted 24 July, 2014 Of course it could just be preparing for life back in L1 Just joking but I thought I would be the first to say what I am sure one or two really believe that it could be the case. But afraid to say, that is what the academy is, just hope that it is only one or two a season in the future rather than half the starting line up (at least).
