Based on what?

i reckon if i started doing anything professionally when i was 17, e.g. for example let's say anal, and I did it every day with tuition by experts i would get better at it over number of years. Stands to reason! I dare say it is same with football.

Like to see MLG's stats for that.

So Saints are better at anal than Sunderland, who are in turn better than Ipswich? Is there a league table? Perhaps that's where this top 4 place will be achieved.

I think you need to be 18 before becoming professional bum agent. Nice analogy though.

Yeah but to stretch the analogy, in your case you'd have to use your learned experience to make up for slackness into your late 20s, so there's no actual benefit of the experience because it's just offsetting the deficiencies of you starting young. Same with Chambers. EXACTLY the same.

Boruc's behaviour is a bit disappointing because without him, we're sort of back at square one. I hope the club retain him because it's impossible to see Gazzaniga and Davis as suitable back up goalies, and it's vital to give Forster decent competition in order to develop his game.

If he were to go, it would really take the shine of signing Forster.

If you were Boruc would you really be happy sitting on the bench and playing the cup competitions. Part of the pain of having a big squad...

I think I would take into consideration who's paying my weekly wages and then come to a conclusion other whether I valued them or my own current-state emotions more. Of course, that's easier said then done.

Oh for hell's sake the post was his comment on UEFA after Celtic were reinstated though Legia playing an ineligible player for 2 minutes.:mcinnes:

Make what you like of the question mark.

I'm aware of the Legia situation; the question mark is particularly telling. But I think you're right, it's too early to jump to conclusions, especially based on so little evidence.

From "dubious body language reading school", I can confirm that Boruc gave the Northam some applause for singing his name before the start of the second half on Saturday, and he showed all his usual face-slapping intensity in his warm up.

I can't see why he'd want to leave, he's got no idea if he's first choice or not, and the only link I've heard was to Bayern, who have just signed Pepe Reina.

Instagram would suggest he's uncertain of his future, doesn't take a genius to work that out. It's like guans teasing posts although like that it could turn into hot air, and I personally think he will be at the club for at least this season.

Hernandez next please RK

At Boruc's age he may think he can secure himself a two year contract at a club right now rather than a two or one year deal in the summer. He's too good to be a backup at a club of our size in my opinion and I don't think he is the sort of keeper who will just sit on the bench for a long time either. Time will tell but I think we'll see some movement here.

They had tweeted from Gareth's account something along the lines of 'chilling out with Maya between sessions #saintsfc'. That tweet was actually meant for JWP so clearly they have the same social media team/management looking after their accounts. In that case as soon as JWP makes an impact expect him to end up at Spurs.

Money wise or player wise?

Better for less would be fairly difficult to find I think, 4 million £ isn't a lot of money PL wise. Work permlit regulations being as they are of course. If the Uk had no work permit criteria for non EU players then I'm sure we could find better and for less. Just don't let the bloke who scouted Mayuka have anything to do with it .

I also rather rate Deeney. Think he may have had one or two brushes with the law in recent years, but he looks a potentially proper striker to me.

I went and saw Watford quite a few times over the past two seasons as I lived quite close by and got cheap tickets through a friend.

He's good at that level, but I would be worried about his ability to step up to the Prem. He's certainly a physical presence, he'd handle that at a canter. It's the technical side of his game I'd worry about. The ball can bounce off him at times.

I do like him, he's certainly a handful and is rarely wanting for effort. He does seem to have got his head down at Watford, after a few indiscretions. I do think for the money it would likely take to prise him away from Watford it would be a risk - that said Ings is probably an equal risk (I havn't seen enough of Ings play to make a fair judgement on him).
