Transfer Rumours Only

Or, Norwich team look crap because the players are crap...??

No, you could take a fair few Norwich players out of that side and integrate them into good sides. But they're just very poorly managed, they were all last season.

Why they kept on a reserve manager is beyond me.

I suspect it is a game of dominos at the moment. Clearly we are willing to spend 10+ million on a CB, so are others.

Man U are after Hummels. If they get him, then we have a chance with Rojos, if not we have Florin, if not Vlaar.

Clearly Vlaar is an option but old and expensive. I expect deadline day will be busy for us.

Dortmund made Hummel's their captain recently apparently.

I think we need 2 DC's, but would we sign 2 after making Fonte captain?

Redmond was pretty inept today to say the least, but so was the entirety of Norwich's attack and tactics. A very poorly managed team.

I've never rated Redmond that highly but you're right, Norwich have been a mess for a long time. They couldn't even make Leroy Fer look more than average most of the time.

How close would Fonte be to be regarded as one now, he´s been in the country since summer 07...?

Or do they have to been here from u21 or younger to be one of those....?

from the 2013-2014 BPL Handbook:

A.1.81. “Home Grown Player” means a Player who, irrespective of his nationality or age, has been

registered with any Club (or club) affiliated to the Football Association or the Football

Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three Seasons or 36 months prior to

his 21st birthday (or the end of the Season during which he turns 21) and for the purposes of

this definition of “Home Grown Player” a Season will be deemed to commence on the date

on which the first Transfer Window closes and expire on the date of the final League Match

of the Season;

5 more we need, right back cover , 2 centre backs, 1 right sided one left. Rojo perfect as can cover left back too, quick player in lallana role and a quality forward ie Hernandez. Anything else a bonus. One thing I'm a bit worried about is if we don't get rojo, the Romanian guy is right sided as it fonte so we don't want to be left with yoshida or jos playing.

I would think that the club believes it only needs 1 CB because you don't make a big production out of your new on field captain when you are intended to make him a squad player.

I really think Troy deeney would do well at this level. More than Ings to be honest. Be delighted if we could add him and belhanda to the attack.

Someone will sign deeney I'm sure of that

very much my thoughts as well. Ok Ings is a Saints fan, doesn't mean he will cut it for us

Hernandez Juve bound.....so what striker to go for out there, Ings talked about but think Koeman/Reed wants to go for a "bigger" name....

I see that Berardi of Sassoulo has the same agent as Pellé..... :roll eyes:

I´ve always said Volland as my dream signing, could add Herrmann to that.....(yes I know they´re out of reach but this is MY dream ;) )

Always said. Had MP been their manager last season, they would have been clear of relegation with games to spare

Could see Byram coming in. Understudy to Clyne this season then first choice one Clyne moves in the summer (unless he signs a new contract this season).

Nice succession planning. Byram very highly rated.

Stop selling players when you don't know they will go. There's been enough negativity already.

Just speculating on the transfer rumour thread. Perfectly plausible.

Byram wouldn't come here to be stuck behind Clyne for 4 years and as yet no whispers on Clyne being offered or signing a new contract.

I also rather rate Deeney. Think he may have had one or two brushes with the law in recent years, but he looks a potentially proper striker to me.

There is no way that Clyne will not be offered a new contract. Even our board aren't that stupid.

Hernandez being linked again in the telegraph, not sure if he's realistic but nice that the clubs being linked with a known striker
Where Hernandez is concerned I think if he really still has hopes of coming good at Man U, he might be up for excepting a one year loan to show what he can do with regular football. Maybe someone should mention Keegan to him.

On the subject of Sam Byram. How about we offer Jack Stephens on loan as well as the 4-5m fee we are likely to have offered. Win win for both partys then. Leeds will have money to spend for promotion push and a good young player to help replace him for nothing.

I think Jack would be in favour as im sure he's a Leeds supporter

a) He's ****e

b) Why would Leicester sell him one week before the PL season starts? He's first choice

c) Simon Jones, The Mail's answer to Alex Crook

d) He signed a new 3 year contract last month...

But I think the key one is a) He's ****e (relative to what we should be looking for to replace Lovren)

With Koeman at the Liverpool game yesterday I wondered if he used the trip to interview any possible signings. A number of those we've been interested in can be found around that area or on the way back if he drove.
