Transfer Rumours Only

Do they shoot differently in Scotland?

Thank you! Someone has stated the obvious.

I understand qualms about outfield players that may struggle to adapt to the PL, but goalkeeper? It isnt that much of a change... Boruc had no PL experience when he signed, same as Forster but funnily enough he still knew how to stop the round thingy going past him into the net (occasionally)

My money is on Ings.

The Samaras link was to push this deal to a close.

No murmurs on the Burnley forums other then one bloke asking if the rumours of Saints representatives at Turf Moor last night were substantiated.

Danny Ings missing Burnley's game the other night for a "knee injury" Sean Dyche managed to keep secret until after the match seems like too much of a coincidence now.

Agreed, I'm leaning more to this but surely the media would have got wind of this.

Celtic lost. I am beginning to hear a lot of noise & I am finally feeling somewhat confident. It's been a turbulent time which the board have not helped but if they pull off half of these signings, I will be ecstatic. Esp. Rojo or the outstanding Clasie. Even if we make him our marquee, top player, he represents good business & one good season, his value will double for the vultures. Hopefully we have learnt how better to fend them off next time. If we want to.

We will get some good perms in by next week. I am confident. Rojo, Clasie, Van Dijk, Forster...maybe even Ings. That'd be incredible. Clasie or Rojo the real marquee signings. Clasie one of the best signings we are ever likely to make. Young & hot, HOT property. Him & Morgan would boss the park if they were to be played in unison with Tadic & Pelle (later Jay Rod) feeding off em. We would have one solid, much improved squad & pundits will go full u turn in praising what astute, intelligent transfer activity we completed.

Odds tumbling for Clasie. Please be more than logical conjecture.

He'd be a good signing (though I seem to remember the Feyenoord fan on here questioning his suitability for the Prem), I don't see us going for him unless we're getting rid of Cork and/or Morgan. Already got Morgan, Cork, JWP, Wanyama, Reed, Davis and Taïder, so unless 1 or 2 of them go or we send Reed out on loan on something I can't see it being a very high priority right now, probs just the link between him handing in a transfer request and the Morgan leaving speculation adding up to 5 in the minds of the press and punters...

If we have sent a delegation over to Portugal then Rojo looks like the one we are most urgently pursuing and the best bet for tomorrow IMO. Would really be an impressive signing and would allay a lot fears both in the dressing room and among supporters. Get it done Les!

Now that we've finally sorted out 'bad boy' Dani's future, I'm hoping the pace will start to pick up with our own signings. Ings, Forster, Belhanda, Redmond, and VvD to follow please.

Didn't see Morgan in the green screen shoot video the club put up this evening. Maybe just coincidence but I have a hunch he's really not a happy bunny and will be gone before the window shuts.

Not sure if you lot are interested but I was at Murrayfield tonight and Fraser Forster threw his shirt, gloves etc into the fans. Was as much of a goodbye he could have done without actually saying it, certainly never seen him do that before. Think you will have him before the weekends over.

Well we know from Guan we've been in for Ings for a while... And he mysteriously missed a game the other night...

I think Bewildered & you are onto something (maybe).

Bertrand, Taider AND Ings? Interesting deals (loans etc) but I am 'pretty sure' these are three players Saints have been linked with for some time, i.e. before the end of last season. Are these amongst the 'mythical' targets Uncle Les mentioned?

They don't solve the CB problem or account for the 'exodus' but they make sense as improvements to the squad, regardless of what subsequently happened.

The manager will pick the team, but who assembles it? Is RoJo Reed's CB?

Koeman has his two new players in, maybe he'll get another one, another CB? Oh, and hopefully a GK; Dave Watson's choice?!

To undertake a medical surely a fee must've been agreed and maybe even terms with the player? Else why bother getting to the medical stage?

Yes, all that would have to have happened to get to a medical stage, I am just asking if they then have to wait for the results of the medical etc before everything can be confirmed and announced.

Thanks Mulgrew. One of our ITK's confirmed a medical booked in for tomorrow so would make sense if it's Forster.

Clasie to replace Morgan but they're lining up the replacement this time? Perhaps not as that would destroy that little faith anyone has in Krueger.

Now, the Rojo chatter has me most excited. Him & another CB like Van Dijk or Vlaar would truly bolster our currently weak defence. We need to start the season with quality, not the old League One defence.

I hear a lot of talk about Ings but what are the chances of this happening?! I hope so.

I can't believe people are questioning the addition of Clasie. He's absolutely top drawer & would be superb in this league. He's hardly a Svensson. Much grittier & direct & is like Morgan on acid. Clearly, if he did come in, he'd surely be above Cork, Davis & possibly Morgan or competition for places with MS If the Frenchman has motivational problems post his hissy fit. I would feel sorry for Cork who has serves us well but Clasie would be a step up from anyone in our midfield, excluding Morgan but he's much more direct & forward pushing than Morgan. The boy is mustard. United don't look to sign muppets. I don't believe we'd get him but what an incredible signing he would be. Be sure of that. Then ship out the fringe player he'd replace.

I'm not convinced he will come this transfer window, personally. I think Burnley will be willing to lose him for free next summer if he scores the goals that keep them in the Premier League. Plus he seems too much of a decent chap to force a move should we bid an amount Burnley aren't happy with.

The club have said Morgan will not be sold this summer. They can't go back on that with looking like right numpties so Morgan will be here when the season starts IMO............ of course in January he can go and the club have been true to their word.
