Transfer Rumours Only

Sunderland don't appear to have taken long organising Rodwell to come in yet we still wait for another loan?

Sunderland: "Just £10m for someone who has hardly played for 2 years? Cool, no problem, we know you are short of cash Man City. A 5 year contract at £60k per week, plus a 5% signing on fee? Yes of course, very happy to agree Mr Rodwell, sir, where do we sign?" Easy

My point being though if you take out clubs who have made free transfer signings it'll probably be a better comparison

only 1 of those players, Campbell, would have involved negotiations with the selling club.

7 of those are Free Transfers so the process would have been allot quicker, no selling club to negotiate with, no player chain, not as much paper work

when you take out free transfers and concentrate on negotiations whether loan or free

Arsenal - 4 signings

Aston Villa - 0 (2 development fees)

Burnley - 3 signings

Chelsea - 4 Signings

Palace - 1 Signing

Everton - 3

Hull - 4

Leicester - 1

Liverpool - 6

Man City - 2

Utd - 2

Newcastle - 6

QPR - 1

Southampton - 3

Stoke - 2

Sunderland - 2

Swansea - 4

Spurs - 3

WBA - 3

West Ham 6

So 60 signings in totally excluding free transfers which means the average transfers that have been negotiated per club is 3...

I'm sorry, but anyone trying to justify our transfer business thus far is either deluded or a club stooge.

Obviously they are struggling inside St Mary's inundated by all the players they have to see.

Dutch paper De Telegraaf reports that Van Gaal will allow Nani, Anderson, Javier Hernandez en Shinji Kagawa to leave during this window.

Wouldn't mind Nani, Hernandez or Kagawa. Can't believe they actually want to keep hold of Cleverley though...

Just wondering what will happen in the (less than likely) event that Celtic progress in the CL. Does that mean back to the drawing board for Reed & Co for a GK and no VVD ?

Good job Reed has a long last of quality players wanting to join us.

Would much prefer the first two. Surprised to see that Nani is only 27...!

Ability wise Kagawa p*sses all over Nani and Hernandez, wasted by United's insistence on deploying Rooney wherever he fancies that day and refusing to cater for the more creative players in their actual role. However I'd imagine you're focussing on the fact we already have plenty of midfielders, and we need a Nani or Hernandez type more, which would be a fair point. From what I gather Dortmund would take Kagawa back in a heartbeat so wouldn't be surprised to see him back there eventually, shame.

Or is somebody prepared to wait until either the start of the new season or the closure of the transfer window before making their minds up. Comparing favourably those who have so far come in against those who have left does not make anybody deluded or a club stooge, even if you wish to believe that. You are entitled to your opinion, if you wish to base it on circumstances that are not yet complete.

Amazed to see all the Man U squad has already arrived back from the States. Must be in a hurry to ship out their rejects

Jamie Mackie on his way? Would fit our revised profile...
Where's he off too. Thought he's just signed from QPR to Notts Forest. Pearce is going to throw a wobbler if he's on his way out.

Precisely. :) If we hadn't already invested millions into Tadic then Kagawa would be an absolute no brainer.

If it's Boruc out and Forster in with Davis No2 Koeman is certifiable. I can't believe he doesn't know what a shambles it was last year when Boruc was injured and our season fell apart until he returned.

This is more like Les in his office

Don't really get it. As Les says inundated with players keen to come to the club

Cant imagine what its like if Les is holding a barbecue . None of the neighbours would be able to make it.

The club would get on a bit better if they were actually honest with the fans and kept us in the picture

Can see Les taking some stick after Sept 1

If they sell Morgan to Spurs in return for some unwanted donkey he is liable to be strung from the rafters

In Les we trust. On no we dont

Agree. Would be pretty pointless buying Forster and then letting Boruc go. Need two keepers who are reliable enough.

Look at Elliott for Newcastle, had a cracking game against us, no chance of Gazza or Davis doing the same.

If either Gazza, or Davis is second choice keeper, or Hooiveld third or fourth chocie CB at the end of the window then we have failed IMO.

Another predictable day on Saints Transfer thread,

Guantanamera , We are about to sign Philipp Lahm, from Bayern Munich, and Neymar from Barcelona,

:):):):):):)

Hypo

What are we buying these two for , they are no better than what we already have. god we have a load of tosh sitting on the bench

Batman , Stupid signing we should have kept shaw and Lallana

Saint Richmond , Is that all the club can afford, I told you the club were stashing away the money and are about to sell the club

Saint Charlie Would be nice to get some more English players in , instead of the foriegn money grabbing players

Viking Warrior , Brilliant Signings , who needs Adam who and Luke (Im not sure if he is going to be any good) shaw

Yup, predictably you are pretentious and presumptious. And believe you have somehow been elevated to the forum police, somewhat annoyingly.
