Transfer Rumours Only

To be fair, the guys in the know haven't been very encouraging about Morgan staying post Kreuger's comments.

Agreed but equally, unlike our other recent departs, there has very little substance to anything actually happening. Just that Spurs are rumoured to still be interested, which is hardly a shock. I have not checked the odds on him still being here in September but might do that!

8 to 1 on Tottenham, or so it was yesterday. Means nothing, except that it's not worth betting on. Unless of course KBilly tips you off and it's a horse past the post bet.

Don't think they do odds on him staying put. In fact BWin do 7/4 on him being with Saints after the transfer window. Not bad for someone who's definitely not going to be sold really, hope Ralph has got his money on that.

Morgan will be off once Les lands the big one

Don't hold your breath though Les is a serial failure

Who would sell players before they have replacements

Who would leave the club a week or so away from the start of the season in this state

They wont know where the ground is never mind gelling with the team these invisible replacements

Les will be hounded out of the club by October

You are not alone Sevvy, on the basis that you cannot fool all the people all the time even those most susceptible to being duped into believing that there is a crock of gold at the end of a rainbow must be having private doubts by now.

One thing on which the club have been repeatedly consistent is that whenever they suggest something is about to happen, invariably nothing does. The ONLY explanation is the one that people have talked about on here throughout this whole messy affair but really didn't want to believe. KL has never had any intention of using any of the fees received from player sales to buy new players simply because it WAS after all simply an asset strip and she will be gone far far away by Christmas.

I can see easily that Reed & Kreuger could be part of a grand deception but the RonKo situation makes no sense except that he was duped through his apparent keenness to manage in the PL and the fact that he is a really decent bloke to boot who probably would hate the idea of walking out on the innocent players and fans that he has now connected with.

It seems very unlikely indeed there will be any signings or announcements now but boy if this is indeed the case, I'd hate to be either KL, RK or LR at the WBA match. It could get very ugly indeed.

Do you know who shot Jack Kennedy by any chance?

My theory is that we've had quite a few targets about to sign on the dotted line but they've come on here to see what kind of a club they're joining and it's all fallen through for some reason.....

My theory is that is laughable b*llocks if you were in any way serious.

The fact that players are doing tests today is promising. Granted Bertrand is new, but could the delay in Yoshi and Tadic's turn be a matter of waiting for a couple of arrivals so they can get it done in one go, rather than having players use the facilities in dribs and drabs?

Its means nothing apart from they signed them after everyone else did testing and Yoshida was back after everyone else had done it. They probably had a day off today so got those lads in to do the tests.

Yeah, deep down I know all that really. I'm just clutching at straws to be honest. :(

Why does a 5 second clip capture who might or might not be doing fitness tests. They typically do them two at a time. For all we we know, Morgan will be doing his later along with Gaston, another WC participant.

May just be my natural optimism, but Paul Lambert doesn't sound that convincing in his claims he'll be able to keep Vlaar. That single signing would be huge for us.

I see SkyBet have us at evens to sign him... and clear favourite over Spurs. Evens.... Toss a coin, call heads, it IS heads. Welcome, Ron!

(See? No need for stress!)

could be that, but everyone knows about the speculation. If he was there and staying the club would make sure they got a shot of him imo.

I wouldn't read much into odds.

If we are in for Forster and/or Van Dijk then there is no way that any movement will happen until after Celtic have been officially knocked out by Legia Warsaw first.

Over the weekend the press have been linking us with around £150m+ worth of players if you roughly add it all up which is more than even Twitchy has been linked with. This is just down to the press knowing we have money to spend and probably little else in the way of truth.

The vast majority of these are pure guesses or speculation and will not happen, and by equal measure Samaras is just another one of these.

Personally I think its better when its quiet sometimes - Then expectations are not overly raised.

For what it's worth, from our end at Celtic all the whispers have been that they'll go if we get knocked out on Wednesday, which looks very likely. I'd imagine it will be over the coming weekend.

Southampton seem to have been strongly linked with both players, especially Forster and he looks like he'll head down to you. Not sure about Van Dijk as he'll have a lot more interest than Forster - though not sure who it will be who'll bid for him. Would be surprised if you didn't sign at least one of them.

Is Forster any better than Boruc would you say mulgrew? I spose you've seen a fair bit of both. Also what's the skinny on Van Dijk, is he Big Dijk or more Limp Dijk?

A bloke over at the UI just posted this:

"Stefan Kießling - Striker, 6'3", 30yrs old from Leverkusen. Supposedly due for medical today 14m Euros."

Would seem odd to let a similar aged Lambert (who is prem proven) go for £4m & then buy this guy for £10-11M? On the positive side this guy has played 6 times for the German national side (but never scored, unlike Lambert).
