Hoping these gash players we are being linked with are actually smokescreens for actual quality players that we are doing deals for, instead of bringing in Sceletto and Samaras we actually bring in Vlaar and Clasie.

I live in hope considering I have read many times how we have a team of people that continuously watch football from around the world to check players out.actually thinking about it these are the same people that found Mayuka and Forren.

I think we are doomed

This is my hope too! Not looking good.

Inter, Oswald arrived in Milan

08/04/2014 - 14:07

Gianluca Di Marzio

From Southampton to Inter, Italy in the fate of Pablo Daniel Osvaldo. The striker arrived a few minutes ago in Milan to support medical examinations and make themselves available Mazzarri for the upcoming season. And a new signing for Inter in the attack.

That's enough of this. It's almost 9PM on Monday night here. Turning off all internet and media until tomorrow morning when I get up for work. Fully expect to see something positive on the OS and on here by then.

Not holding my breath. Aside from my sleep apnoea that is.

Did that mean we had to let them all leave before allowing anyone else in? It's about managing losses. You agree to let them leave but not before getting replacements in. You are kidding yourself.

Lovren's head was already in Liverpool - manage that!

Sorry you've lost me... It is a fact we have not recruited?

Tadic, Pelle, Bertrand. Not to mention Koeman his staff. Oh and the apple marketing girl...:p

You are bed wetting and you are panicking. As with many others you are making facts up and speculating to reinforce your concern because you have no control or true insight. You will have to wait. Throwing your toys out of the pram will only create bad feeling for yourself and more teenlike angst.

WTF ...ok you are obviously so immature you cant hold a conversation without throwing insults - don't bother - bedwetting, panicking hahahahah ok if you say so. making up facts - so our 20 scouts picked out Pelle and Tadic...of course nothing to do with Koeman. No control or insight...what am I meant do with that exactly act like so relaxed and chilled on a football messageboard ?

When we sign Schelotto the OS will probably say something like:

Saints have beaten a host of top European clubs to the signing of Italy International Ezequiel Schelotto.

CEO Gareth Rogers commented, "Ezequiel is an excellent young player who continues our policy of signing proven young talent. I am excited to watch him and am sure our fans will be keen to see him play."

Schelotto said, "This is a dream come true for me. I love the Premier League and the chance to work for such a respected CEO as Gareth is great. When I first met Les Reed I was so impressed with the amount of money he brought in by selling the best players. That made me feel I could be a part of the club."

Tickets to watch the debut of Ezequiel versus Leverkusen are still available. Ryan Bertrand, Giorgios Samaras, Barry Robson and Gary Caldwell will also be paraded before kick off.

I laughed out loud at this

Apparently Sporting Lisbon have crippling debts which is why they are willing to sell off the likes of Rojo and William Carvalho, with the latter even below his minimum fee release clause. Come on Saints, get Rojo over the line FFS!

Rojo has got to wait for about 50 other clubs to confirm they're definitely not interested before he ends up chatting with Saints. I reckon this would be a v.late in the window deal, if it happens at all. Which i don't think it will!

That's pretty much my take on it.

Other premier league clubs manage it so we should be able to as well. Letting five players leave without replacements being lined up has clearly cost us.

I think the void in the managerial seat between it being obvious Potch was leaving and RoKo being appointed probably affected player negotiations more than anything else. That lost time means we are a bit behind schedule.

If we are in for Forster and/or Van Dijk then there is no way that any movement will happen until after Celtic have been officially knocked out by Legia Warsaw first.

Over the weekend the press have been linking us with around £150m+ worth of players if you roughly add it all up which is more than even Twitchy has been linked with. This is just down to the press knowing we have money to spend and probably little else in the way of truth.

The vast majority of these are pure guesses or speculation and will not happen, and by equal measure Samaras is just another one of these.

Personally I think its better when its quiet sometimes - Then expectations are not overly raised.

I am clinging on to the hope that there is very little concrete transfer news which means something could be imminent.

In reality we are more likely to be hitting a brick wall in terms of agreeing fees for players as there is no desire from club to spend much of the £90m+ from sales.

Be interested to see how many turn up on Saturday should we get no one in or just these two underwhelming loans in from Inter. My guess 7-8,000.

Calm down I didn't insult you. You said in your post that you are not a bedwetter and not panicking because it was a fact we had not recruited anyone. You were wrong I pointed that out and its fair enough to say you are panicking.

Why does it matter to you whether our 20 scouts or Koemans influence got signings over the line? We have no control or insight so stop making up 'facts' and calling speculation as such in order to spread negativity or indulge in your own impatience.

If I seriously offended you by calling you a bedwetter I apologise.

That would be a ridiculously low crowd for what is a good quality friendly game, with dirt cheap prices. It'll be at least double that.

I listen to a lot of radio

I posted a snippet the other week about a player who was not reported in the media at the time who wanted out. His agent said as such without naming him

it was of course, roundly dismissed etc.

a week later, chambers was 'ill' and then signs for arsenal

if you piece enough together from various journo's, agents and commentators, there is plenty of truth in there

Pelle - Lambert

Lallana - Tadic

Shaw - Bertrand / Targett

Lovren - to be replaced

Chambers - arguably a squad player, we need to replace with a squad player

Taidir and Schelotto - how the feck did they sneak in?

Overall not too shabby considering the window is open for another 4 weeks.

Will we hear anything today, probably not, seems to me time is running out, all our first choices have probably gone somewhere else, we are now in panic mode, this is just my opinion, but the longer the time goes on, the more likely it will be the scenario .

You are not alone Sevvy, on the basis that you cannot fool all the people all the time even those most susceptible to being duped into believing that there is a crock of gold at the end of a rainbow must be having private doubts by now.

One thing on which the club have been repeatedly consistent is that whenever they suggest something is about to happen, invariably nothing does. The ONLY explanation is the one that people have talked about on here throughout this whole messy affair but really didn't want to believe. KL has never had any intention of using any of the fees received from player sales to buy new players simply because it WAS after all simply an asset strip and she will be gone far far away by Christmas.

I can see easily that Reed & Kreuger could be part of a grand deception but the RonKo situation makes no sense except that he was duped through his apparent keenness to manage in the PL and the fact that he is a really decent bloke to boot who probably would hate the idea of walking out on the innocent players and fans that he has now connected with.

It seems very unlikely indeed there will be any signings or announcements now but boy if this is indeed the case, I'd hate to be either KL, RK or LR at the WBA match. It could get very ugly indeed.

Its still Monday unless I'm not mistaken?

:lol::lol::lol:

We're looking good for an announcement today - squad and media team are at the solent university today. Could fit a medical in and then the media team are already on hand to come in with the interviews and announcement. Will probably be an evening announcement (if there is one) as the club know most fans are at work during the day and will likely want to announce anything at a peak time after that to get the biggest possible audience.

No probs...we all want to see good signings arrive and the best for the club, it doesnt matter where they come from.

I can see value in Samaras actually as well , however I am impatientbecause Reed/Kruegar fed us all the stuff about the scouts, players wanting to join, players in this week etc yet we still have gaping holes especially at centre half that they have not delivered in weeks despite all the PR on OS/Media thats where the 20 scouts bothers me

I asked a couple of Italian Journos on Twitter if Taider and Schelotto were good signings:

Journo 1:

I think they are good moves, especially Taider. Schelotto can be very good but is inconsistent

Journo 2:

Good players, especially Taider, but Schelotto plays well if used properly. He (Schelotto) is an old-fashioned right-winger, high energy, decent crosser. Good enough for PL? Probably, yeah

The Club are on a hiding to nothing with fans like you. Keep quiet about things in the pipeline and you'll bleat that nothing is being done. State that it is hoped that signings in the pipeline will be completed soon and you'll use that as a stick to beat the club with if it doesn't happen before you wet yourself.

As for your theory about Katharina asset-stripping the club, I wouldn't think too hard about it, as it clearly is a painful process attempting to exercise your brain, judging by the conclusions that you reach at the end of it.

Wrong thread, you cannot post positive "scouting" statements on here.
