Transfer Rumours Only

He was only 18/19 when at Grenoble. Presume he's progressed since then.

I don't know, just saw him play a few times for Grenoble and the French Unders sides, since then he's gone native with Algeria. Stats aren't great but they're just that, stats.

Wait and see really gift horse mouth looking into an all that.

Brilliant, Weve got 90 odd million in the bank and now taking in loan players ! :mcinnes:

yes, in order to get rid of our most troublesome, expensive and high wage earning player that very few want to take, we have secured a deal to achieve this, that gets us a good player for at least a year as well.

I hope you prove me wrong and he is a good asset for a season. Time will tell.

He'll be more of an asset than Osvaldo will ever be, so we've added 1 extra player to our squad straight away for no money. In theory, opening the door for some key positions to be filled with some excellent players.

Could Taider be the green light for Gaston to go - seems very crowded at CM/AM?

I could be wrong but I think Guan just meant that it will be bigged up on the OS 'as though it's the second coming'.

Don't know about anyone else but I haven't had a second coming for ages, so I am quite excited at the prospect.

Taider is more of a worker as opposed to a Gaston style "Schemer"

Played behind Slimani in the World Cup as a CAM but does seem pretty versatile, though again we have quite a few players in that mold -Davis, JWP. And lets not forget that it was Davis that ultimately kept Gaston out of the side.

Let's be positive for a mo.

Forster

Clyne - Fonte - Vlaar - Rojo

Morgan - Wanyama

Gaston - Davis - Tadic

Pelle

Bench - Boruc, Virgil, Targett, Ings, Tadier, Gallagher, JWP

Then you've got Reed, McQueen, Stephens, Isgrove, Yoshida, Jos (?), Gazzaniga beyond that. Stronger rounded squad than last year?

that's not bad...really...(and I think we'll sell Cork, just a hunch)

Obviously though, the bond and team work will take time. But if we get those over the line, we won't go down - I'm sure.

I can see in that set up with that hypothetical squad, Van Dyk with Vlaar, Ings in a Rodriguez wide role and Ramirez behind Pelle.

RoJo to saints?

really?

I know we have been linked?

Sigh, only yesterday did he say that he wanted to stay at Sporting but he'd see what offers were about. There's one from PSG so what do you think our chances are exactly. What PSG want with him who knows, they have Maxwell and Digne.

Gnabry looking promising though, Vlaar not so much, just going by press declarations of course. Still we all know what the counterbalance of getting Gnabry on loan will be don't we.

In the space of 8 weeks we've gone from being a club who have youngsters that Arsenal want to buy to being a club they send their fringe youngsters to like some sort of finishing school.

I really don't want us to be one of those clubs. Lets develop our own players.

Depends if they're any good really PL wise of course. Surely if they were we'd have used them a bit more by now. Who would you rather have Gnabry or Isgrove. One will go far, so will the other but not in the same sense.

But even then armed with a £70m+ surplus in transfer fees we should be identifying players to buy to develop rather than loaning them from other clubs and giving them all the benefit for a short-term fix for ourselves. If we start loaning players it'll be one of the most idiotic things we can do and a sure sign that we are failing to buy players due to incompetence. I'll make the Taidar deal an acceptable deviation given the main purpose of that deal is getting rid of Osvaldo however why we are signing another central midfielder when that is the strongest part of our squad I've no idea but there you go.

Inter's way of bartering. Don't think there's much cash floating around the Italian teams (my wild assumption).

Lukaku is an example of short term and soon to be long term gain
