Koeman said about the Swindon game that we 'lacked a cutting edge' in front of goal and this was definitely an issue last year.

Got me thinking, how much of MoPo's training regime was about finishing in open play? Alot of it seemed to be down to structure, positioning and fitness levels, which for the latter, Adkins had laid alot of the ground work.

Anyone with a better knowledge of the the training schedule care to elaborate? Would be interesting if anyone has an insight into how RoKo has switched it up too...

How many posts before the OPs question is addressed...:D

Probably quite a few until someone who knows what they are talking about comes along, which I doubt they will.

Attacking player spends between 30-40% of their practicing time with finishing with shoots, crossing + shot/header, finishes on set pieces in general.

+ all time the team practice on a smaller pitch with 5v5 and 7v7 games...

I know nothing about the training schedule but a bit of shoot on sight instead of wanting to pass the ball into the net won't go a miss this season

Until three games in. Then everyone will, rightly, ask for some composure.

Happy to elaborate, OP. New contracts are awarded by pinning them up to a square on the net in random positions. To win one, you just have to hit yours. Hence jay rod on one leg got the 5 year special for first time and Jack cork......... Oh......
