saintkiptanui Posted 13 August, 2008 Posted 13 August, 2008 If it's raining I will give my ticket to the 3rd person to post on this thread. Oh and the original question still stands.
saintwarwick Posted 13 August, 2008 Posted 13 August, 2008 Don't know how many but I reckon in the region of 24,000 will be the gate.
saintkiptanui Posted 13 August, 2008 Author Posted 13 August, 2008 It is you deppo but I have just checked out of the window and it's not raining, unlucky. Many sold??
saintkiptanui Posted 13 August, 2008 Author Posted 13 August, 2008 atleast 2 me and you?? where shall we go for pre-match beers?
Golden Balls Posted 13 August, 2008 Posted 13 August, 2008 I'm taking an Aussie to his first ever game. Should be fun!
buctootim Posted 13 August, 2008 Posted 13 August, 2008 I'm taking an Aussie to his first ever game. Should be fun! Aussies love mud, rain and warm beer. Well known fact.
NI76 Posted 13 August, 2008 Posted 13 August, 2008 Don't know how many but I reckon in the region of 24,000 will be the gate. Can't see it being anywhere near that many but hope I'm wrong. With only 9,500 ST holders and guessing at aroung 1,500 Brum fans I reckon about 16-18k.
Fowllyd Posted 13 August, 2008 Posted 13 August, 2008 Phoned the ticket office today - I'm away for the next couple of days and will go to the match if I'm back in time on Saturday. They reckoned it'll be possible to get a ticket on the day, so that doesn't suggest they're anywhere near filling the place with advance sales. What's the capacity with the corners closed?
trousers Posted 13 August, 2008 Posted 13 August, 2008 I'm taking an Aussie to his first ever game. Should be fun! Ardilles ?
voteforpedro Posted 13 August, 2008 Posted 13 August, 2008 "Just off the phone to the ticket office booking my birmingham tickets (i got my cardiff tickets last week) apparently there are about 600 tickets all told left for Cardiff and 21,000 sold for the birmingham home game the week after. That makes about 1,500 Saints fans in Wales on Saturday !!" http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=203 This was a week ago, so guessing a few more have been sold, maybe around 23,000-24,000
South City Si Posted 13 August, 2008 Posted 13 August, 2008 Am going with 4 others, two of which are American girls who have never been to a game before, should be interesting!!!
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 25,000 would be a great turn out I think.
dubai_phil Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 25,000 would be a great turn out I think. 25,000 would also put a dent in some of the "fans will boycott SMS" so we are doomed argument. Let's hope they see a great game, and I was supposed to be there but travel plans went t*ts up
SaintDonkey Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 I shall be there for my first game of the season - and sat in the Chapel for the first time since we were in the Premiership. I seem to have a 'mojo' working that we win when I sit in the Itchen, but I don't want to break that by sitting there for a game I don't think we can win. I shall of course be back there for Blackpool
Window Cleaner Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 Am going with 4 others, two of which are American girls who have never been to a game before, should be interesting!!! They will probably amaze you with their knowledge and inform you that our D-Line looks about Little League size.
Dan Johnson Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 I'm going so make it +1 to all your suggestions... actually no wait, i'm a ST holder so I'll already be counted wont I... So erm i'm saying 23000
LGTL Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 I think it will be around 18,000 Even though 21,000 had already been sold last week
dockland Dave Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 16,500 as of 11am this morning had been sold
derry Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 I have just spoken to the ticket office, selling really well, not many seats in the Itchen left. Estimated capacity without the three corners about 28k to 29k. As of yet the corners not being sold, but they are expecting a good crowd.
Saint_clark Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 16,500 as of 11am this morning had been sold I just rang them up and was told just over 22,000 last time he checked.
krissyboy31 Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 I just rang them up and was told just over 22,000 last time he checked. With a day & half left, plus a decent walk up, could be close to 26,000 then.

Nexstar Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 you sure about capacity without corners ? only 3000 below max ? I thought i had heard without the corners the max was about 26-26.5k?
Wes Tender Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 I bought a ticket for me and my son just 20 minutes ago. I asked how many had been sold and was told about 17,500.
lordswoodsaints Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 went to the ticket office yesterday and all they had left in the itchen was seats in block 10.....dont know about the rest of the ground.
Legod Second Coming Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 PLEASE ensure that there is a ticket left for me. Been busy as an Austrian cellar maker this week and having to chance it on the day...
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 I've left it too late and me and my brother have had to get seats in Block 40
Legod Second Coming Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 Did you mean tickets....or players????? ;-) LOL Nice one.
Deppo Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 If anyone wants to buy me a ticket,I'll go with them.

My figures were based on the highlighted parts of the poster above, allegedly from the ticket office 21,000 sold up to last week. Let's hope for a big turn out to spur the youngsters on.
saintwarwick Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 If anyone wants to buy me a ticket,I'll go with them. I'll buy you one if you pick me up from Warwick and drop me of again.
Matthew Le God Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 How many season tickets have we sold so far? Can you provide a link showing the amount please
SimonRichards Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 I'm taking an Aussie to his first ever game. Should be fun! I'm taking a Polish mate of mine to his first match.

derry Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 you sure about capacity without corners ? only 3000 below max ? Ticket office worked it out roughly, 700STs moved from Itchen North.

Let's hope they see a great game, and I was supposed to be there but travel plans went t*ts up I shall be there to represent The Dubai Crew, will have a beer or two for you Also got my Derby ticket, does this make me a super fan Also bought a new Saints polo shirt ... the club should be able to buy a new player by the time I've bought a programme and pint and pie at half time
