andoru Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 I know he's not a Saints player so he doesn't really exist anymore, but do any of you think Lallana can actually get in the Liverpool team next season? They've signed Emre Can (midfielder) and Lazar Markovic (winger) too now, as well as still having the likes of Gerrard, Henderson, Sterling and Coutinho. If he's been guaranteed a regular first-team football I think he's going to be sorely disappointed.
nta786 Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 I for could not give two *****s whether he gets into Loserpool's team. He is the past, let's move on and forget him.

andoru Posted 16 July, 2014 Author Posted 16 July, 2014 You sure about that? Still come across as pretty angry in your comment.
BlakeySFC Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Hope he rots on the bench, the greedy arrogant cvnt.
Lorne Malvo Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Loserpool's I wonder if they call us Sadhampton or something else as witty.
Turkish Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 I wonder if they call us Sadhampton or something else as witty. It would be hilarious. Probably stains if they are referring to us by our nickname.
Saint Charlie Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 He was one of the best players in the PL last season so of course he will. Besides they will have lots of games, he will get his share the same as the others.

What on earth do you know about the situation it is hardly likely after spending £25m Lallana will not be an important part of the squad
St Chalet Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Really couldn't care less how his career pans out. What's your view on where Tadic will play?
Turkish Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Really couldn't care less how his career pans out. What's your view on where Tadic will play? Top part agree. If Koeman wants to play 4-3-3 the perhaps wide left or as the attack one of the midfield 3.
Killers Knee Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 All I care about is if Scousehampton buy another one of our players the contract has that Liverpool must play in our kit, just with their badge on it.
andoru Posted 16 July, 2014 Author Posted 16 July, 2014 What on earth do you know about the situation it is hardly likely after spending £25m Lallana will not be an important part of the squad Well, I know what I wrote in the original post, that Liverpool have signed some other players who play in the same part of the pitch, and they already have others there. Those are facts. The rest is opinion and a question.
angelman Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 So why should it be AL that doesn't start rather than the others that have been signed?
Golac's Iron Gonads Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 He won't be competing with Gerrard and Henderson they play completely different positions. He'll be alternating/competing with Coutihno, Can, Markovic, Origi and Sterling for 2 places. I suppose he'll be hoping he can play in the big games but that's a lot of competition and he could end up just playing in the games against the likes of Sunderland, Palace and Leicester. Even though he's no longer a Saint I will follow his progress as I hope it goes belly up, might dissuade any other academy players from following him out the door and realising where their bread is buttered.

Will be interesting to see if he or Lambert get picked against Saints opening match, pretty confident both of them will be bit-part players in Liverpool's 60-game season but they'll still get regular outings due to the volume of fixtures. I suspect Lallana's ego might get a bit of a hammering next season.

He'll be in competition for places with Allen, Gerrard, Henderson & Lucas. Not Lallana.
Secret Site Agent Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 He wouldn't even get into the sainst team now.
thesaint sfc Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Maybe he doesn't like playing football and wants to sit on the bench with a big chunky salary? I'd rather not do my job and still get paid.
Polaroid Saint Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Two words: David Bentley Of all the slaggings off, insults and put downs Lallana has received since he has left Saints, this is by far the worst. I hope his wife and kids don't read it.
Big Ron fan Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 He's hardly an impact sort of player either No, he wasn't against Denmark, nor at Newcastle last season, was he??? Whether people now hate him or not, suggesting he's going to struggle to get into the Liverpool team is bizarre - this is a player who was voted into the Premier league team of the season!
Window Cleaner Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 (edited) No, he wasn't against Denmark, nor at Newcastle last season, was he??? Whether people now hate him or not, suggesting he's going to struggle to get into the Liverpool team is bizarre - this is a player who was voted into the Premier league team of the season! It's all just sour grapes anyway. wait until they stuff us on opening weekend, there will be even more bile and vitriol. At the end of the day you just have to accept that we didn't have enough ambition to keep the player. I noticed that Koeman said that he was told that Lambert,Shaw and Lallana would be sold before he had any say on it at all. Edited 16 July, 2014 by Window Cleaner
Batman Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 if he is now not very good. why are we bothered he left?
Window Cleaner Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 if he is now not very good. why are we bothered he left? In fact we should be glad in that case, we got a packet of cash for a duffer (yeah right). A packet of cash which we will no doubt get round to spending sooner or later. Actual count up until now, in 62 million, out 21 million, don't even need to think about the intitial warchest of 35 million which has been alluded to. It's a pity that if we're so good at selling duffers for shedloads of cash we still have Mayuka,Osvaldo and Sharp but to mention 3 hanging about drawing their monthly stipend.
alpine_saint Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 However, I would enjoy him pulling a po face as he shivers from the cold and the splinters in his arse from the bench, in close-up on Sky.

simo Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Doesn't he play for liverpool? Yeh this isn't saints related get it in the lounge or something!
ozzmeister Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 If he has no game time and hankered for a move away (Andy Carroll) would anyone take him, cut price, say 12million? Maybe he would see error of his ways and come back to his spiritual home.....
Mallagroth Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Of course he will play, they have paid a **** load of money for him. Rogers will look like a tit if he doesn't give him a decent run, and I hope Lallana struggles to find any form under the pressure.
Master Bates Posted 23 February, 2019 Posted 23 February, 2019 Maybe they'll offer him at a cheap rate as compensation for Ings?

He'll be 31 and on the downhill slope. Bournemouth or Championship more likely. He's lost a fair bit of pace from what I saw last time he played for Liverpool. Keeps trying the same old stuff that worked in his heyday, only now it doesn't.
